It makes them both look like shit really doesn't it. Meghan is accused of bullying but meanwhile William is attacking Harry physically.

I do wonder though, whether this will be what makes them release the information about the internal bullying investigation.

I also wonder whether the rest of the Royal Family knew this happened, and if not, whether this is the first they're hearing of it.

Question - if you had to choose only one house to be able to listen into now, whose would it be? I'm thinking Kate and William but I'd love to hear what Mike and Zara are saying...

Blossomtoes · 05/01/2023 01:51

How does no denial denote guilt? The palace will continue to keep schtum.

Sterling work by the Guardian, by the way, for breaking this. I was only reading today that the security around the book release was equivalent to that around the last Harry Potter, but somehow they managed to get hold of a copy. Would love to know how.

Surely it's a leak (from Harry's side or his publisher) to garner more interest and sales, rather than brilliant journalism.

clyspa · 05/01/2023 01:51

Jays - don't be that poster

I think the point being made was PW must care about the bullying etc to get so upset rather than caring means you can grab someone by the collar.

There's a lot missing to this incident I think you'd agree or would you not want more info given the chance?

Do we think this is the worst story in the book?

Are we going to have lots of such examples?

So this has gone from:

  1. Media - unfair reporting, racism etc
  1. Need to forge own way as only spare - half in and half out proposal
  1. Cut off financially / HRH dormant / family racist- victim narrative starts - Oprah
  1. Bullied out by Charles - but still love the Queen also still media stuff / various speeches and interviews etc
  1. Now it's actually PW - abuser, terrifying, bully

He can't hope to reconcile with PW after this which maybe he doesn't want to. The interviews on the weekend might turn out to say he had hoped to but sees it won't happen so he's decided to pull the detonator?

The main issue for me is this - he wouldn't have done any of this if they had given him the half in/out option so that undercuts everything. You are telling your stories as payback.

Shoving his brother to the ground onto a dog bowl which smashed under the weight leaving him with bruises and cuts on his back makes the future King look good because ‘he cares’? Oh dear. Thankfully it wasn’t his sister eh. Or would that be different.

Exactly. If this happened, it’s dreadful. Violence isn’t acceptable and the minimising of it on here isn’t great.

BradfordGirl · 05/01/2023 01:51

It is domestic violence. No adult should be physically attacking another adult.

Cherry35 · 05/01/2023 01:52

At this point Harry has nothing else to lose so will say/write anything to get more money.

Brothers/sisters fight, not outrageous. So during this altercation he didn't do anything? Just putting himself again as a without fault innocent victim... Mmmm.

How can his family ever trust him again knowing whatever they say or do will eventually come out on the press for money? I wouldn't fault them for completely blocking him out.

Didn't he have part of his mother's inheritance? He shouldn't have to be so desperate about money.

If it happened …

RegainingTheWill2023 · 05/01/2023 01:53

Harry’s resentment of being the “spare” is the unifying theme of his book, through chapters on his childhood, his schooling, his career as a royal and in the British army, his relationship with his parents and brother and his life with Meghan through courtship, wedding and marriage to their own experience of parenthood.

That resentment seems to have eaten away at Harry to the point of self destruction. He now appears to want to destroy his brother too which is incredibly sad.

I have no trouble believing that the physical altercation happened. Maybe its been a feature of their relationship? Or maybe William is an aggressive bully, I dont know. I certainly am not comfortable with minimising any physical aggression. It's abhorrent.

My frustration is that when the account glosses over the details of what William was angry about whilst recording verbatim everything William said and did in anger, it makes it clear we're being given an editorial.

StClare101 · 05/01/2023 01:53

H really is bullying W and C now. Oh the irony.

His bleating about wanting his father and brother back while knowing what is in his own book…..

He is a hypocrite and also an absolute dimwit.

He is very similar to his FIL really.

KloppsTeeth · 05/01/2023 01:53

Can we get #PedigreeChump trending?

ToysThatWork · 05/01/2023 01:53

Violence is never acceptable, but we are only hearing one side of the story here, and it's a side that has repeatedly lied to cause division over the years... I won't believe anything until I've heard William's side, which I doubt we ever will.

BradfordGirl · 05/01/2023 01:55

But there are posters here saying the violence is acceptable.

Agreed. Of all the newspapers in all the world this one wouldn’t go looking fo r the story,

Adult siblings physically fighting isn’t normal. It may happen as kids but still that isn’t ok imo. My partners adult brother threatened us, as adults, with physical violence, we cut him out of our lives and told everyone why.

fatsocatso · 05/01/2023 00:57

@MintyFreshOne

That's actually quite funny if W did call M that, and now H is telling everyone. Makes it seem less of a rumour if that's what his own family are saying (ie it's not the press just making it up)

oakleaffy · 05/01/2023 01:57

Arcane, you just HAVE to market these dog bowls! ''Capable of holding a lifetime of resentment'' 🤣

Fighting is never good (don't believe it happened anyway), but after reading that article I now have a mental image of the two princes running around the kitchen chasing each other to the benny hill theme tune.

Is there anyone with a bigger chip on their shoulder about being born second than Harry?

ArcaneWireless · 05/01/2023 02:00

Violence is not acceptable. Ever.

Though recollections have varied enough for me to want to hear both sides of this incident.

AuroraCake · 05/01/2023 02:00

Whose household would I want to eavesdrop on…Jason Knauf…no doubt. He knows it all. Failing that Eugenie.

I like Zara but ai wonder if she has ever had a conversation not about a horse,

vera99 · 05/01/2023 02:01

If true then that's physical assault - there is never a reason ever to hit someone like that except in self defence. Indeed you can easily kill someone or produce lasting brain damage.

Adultchildofelderlyparents · 05/01/2023 02:02

Would also love to see a special episode of gogglebox featuring all of the royals watching Harry's interview.
