Willy. 😁very mature in of me

It's all rather dull now and someone needs to go and sit on Harry until he calms down. He is 'on one' as my teens say and needs to step back and consider what he's doing

They will never ever forgive him for this. Maybe that's why he ran back after the funeral wanting to re-edit the book.

Can't see him at the coronation.

I share your thoughts on this

"Describing a confrontation at his London home in 2019, Harry says William called Meghan “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive”, which Harry calls a “parrot[ing of] the press narrative” about his American wife."

How likely is it that William formed his impression of Meghan only from the newspapers rather than from actually knowing her as his sister-in-law?!

The more you say the more you give away…my first thought too. Harry thinks by saying this it makes out William is totally unreasonable, but he has just recently on film spent significant time and effort setting out how deeply he and the rest of the royal family brief and understand the press. So does he really expect people to believe that William has based his accusations on what’s in the press rather than what he has seen and heard himself? He’s just given the royal family Carte Blanche to let loose whatever they have under wraps re Meghan. He really is thick and they think they have been so clever by stringing this out so long…

Boulshired · 05/01/2023 01:11

Reading Twitter, for two brothers who have talked in great detail about mental health, the abuse that not only William and Harry are receiving but also Kate and Meghan is just so sad. The damage is far too big now.

His names not Harold. Why would he call him that. In any case though…so? Things were really bad. I see a Hugh Grant, Colin Firth posh boy fight. So Harry actually go injured from falling on the dog bowl?

i like the detail about his necklace breaking

Can I believe it happened? Yes
Do I believe that is the whole story? Absolutely not.

^^This, in a nutshell.

I'm sure PW has a temper.

I'm equally sure that Harry isn't the whimpering, innocent little victim who calmly spoke to his brother to try and defuse the tension before being randomly attacked. If it's true, there's way more to this story than Harry is willing to admit.

And I'm not sure how Harry ever thinks he is "getting his brother back" when he's launched an unprovoked public attack like this.

Harry said that they were forced to go public after the things that were leaked - and that justifies releasing this type of information to the media? It's nasty, spiteful and fully intended to wound. And bearing in mind how dangerous Harry believes the media are, he's apparently OK with chucking his brother and his family to them.

CaroleFuckingBaskin · 05/01/2023 01:13

Harry has sunk to a new low.

What on earth was he thinking with all these inflammatory accusations?

It certainly wint give him the private life he craves.

Time for him to crawl away under a rock. For good.

AuroraCake · 05/01/2023 01:15

I belief this happened but just that it’s one side. I love the image of Harry literally plonking down into the dog bowl. Would Meghan not have realised the bowl was broken? And also William probably said don’t tell her because they were fighting about her. She didn’t need to know at this point I guess.

My godson and his brother - similar age gap, but currently teenagers - are physical with each other all the time. Sometimes it is play fighting, but when they really wind each other up there are not averse to a bit of man handling. It is what many brothers do.

I saw a Meme recently with a photo of Harry and a speech bubble in which he was complaining that he won Rock Paper Scissors, but William sat in the front seat of the car. This latest 'revelation' reminds me of that. Talk about first world non-problems. He should try living a day in the shoes of pretty much anyone with his IQ and academic qualification in either the UK or the US. He would be looking at minimum wage jobs and council housing.

garlicandsapphires · 05/01/2023 01:18

Wow. I’m quite shocked by this really. What else is going to come out?!

Greenshake · 05/01/2023 01:19

@ArcaneWireless that is brilliant 🤩

LadyVictoriaSponge · 05/01/2023 01:19

Thanks @ArcaneWireless you have got the ball rolling 🤣 what a prize tit Harry is.

The way he describes it he’s a vulnerable vit fleeing to the kitchen to escape an abuser.

Like others have said, I can well believe things got physical between the brothers, who both were angry at the time.

We only have Harry’s version here, his version of what William said to him. I would be very interested to know what he said to William also. There have been many times where he has opened his mouth and my instinctive thought has been ‘oh fuck off you pompous twat’. The argument won’t have been only one way - it takes two to argue.

But to imply he is the helpless victim of an abusive older sibling, defenceless and scared - sorry no. I’m not buying that narrative - it’s incredibly manipulative and insulting to actual victims of abuse.

The last quote from Charles at Prince Philip's funeral is so terribly sad. 'Please boys, don't make my last years a misery'.

Sad? It’s pretty self-absorbed tbh.
Surely if your children were at war, you would be more worried about the negative
effects on them?

Probably a nickname
like “ Aaaaahrooooldddddd” from Steptoe and Son
Families do have nicknames for each other.

In a way, William was correct- I can understand William being concerned- especially as Markle was bullying ( allegedly) staff members that William and Catherine were concerned about.

Rinoachicken · 05/01/2023 01:26

If he said to Williams face some of the things he said on Netflix for example, suggesting he doesn’t love his wife perhaps, or that he and Meghan would make a better king and queen, I can well imagine William having enough of the BS.

Nothing quite says "I want my brother back" so much I will spread distasteful gossip about him 😂.

But there is no other context, it might have been the last line of a conversation.

Rinoachicken · 05/01/2023 01:27

A few hundred years back, he’d have been thrown in the tower - I’d say being thrown in the dog food is getting off lightly!

Exactly, and surely his army training would have clicked into action to defend himself if he really was under physical threat, and then his arse wouldn’t have ended up in the dog bowl.

JustMerkinYourChain · 05/01/2023 01:31

I'm trying to figure out timelines here - if this was in 2019 and Notts Cottage then it was presumably before Harry and Meghan moved to Frogmore, so pre April 2019? He refers to telling his therapist, so presumably sometime in between Megan feeling suicidal in 2018 and early 2019 they do actually get access to therapists - which is a good thing.

HeddaGarbled · 05/01/2023 01:31

Sterling work by the Guardian, by the way, for breaking this. I was only reading today that the security around the book release was equivalent to that around the last Harry Potter, but somehow they managed to get hold of a copy. Would love to know how.
