Good lord newspapertaxi

Talk about just throwing around sweeping statements!

Leaving the palace = leaving Scientology/a cult
Meghan = Yoko

Some real nutters on here

ShamedBySiri · 05/01/2023 10:43

It's also worth remembering is that Harry was prepared to release this book pulling the RF apart while The Queen was still alive. That's how much he respected her.

The book, the Netflix series, the ridiculous sniggering theatrical bow. All these when they had a reasonable expectation that Her Majesty would still be alive and would see them.

Not to mention a failure to visit when Prince Philip was ill or on other occasions whilst The Queen, his supposedly much loved Grandmother was still alive.

I'm so glad she didn't live to see this.

Wrt to Meghan bullying claims. As a general rule white don't like being told what to do by non-white people. A half black woman could ask for directions in the palace and by the time it got back to their HR equivalent it would have sounded as though Meghan had threatened to rip out someone's uterus and use it like pitta bread.

I'm not white. I've never found this to be the case.

‘Harold’ suits the new Harry so much better than ‘Harry’

What like the fat guy from Neighbours!
Who in turn reminds me of Uncle Vernon. 😛

milveycrohn · 05/01/2023 10:44

The problem is that Harry does not have any skills to generate an income.
Currently his only skill seems to be Royal Family Bashing, and that is wearing a bit thin.
He has inheritence from Diana and the Q. Mother, and maybe some others we don't know about, and then there is Meghan's money.
He is living a lifestyle that is above his financial situation.
What he needs is an 'income stream' that is separate from the RF.
Bashing your father, when he was your income stream (prior to them stepping down), is the height of stupidity.
As the RF are currently staying silent, we have no idea if this was true or not.
So what if P. William came out and said it was false. Presumably P. Harry has some independent witnesses to prove the physical fight happened; the broken dog bowl, maybe?
No, they are totally relying on the RF staying silent, so H&M can say anything they like.

Based on Meghan's behaviour in the press and to her own family I don't think this is what's going on here.

If it was allegations of bullying against Michelle Obama I might think this was relevant.

Way to minimise the alleged abuse of the staff though - and how do you know any of the staff making complaints against Meghan weren't black?

Exactly. And anyway, Meghan presents white.

MalagaNights · 05/01/2023 10:46

And no, not all incidents of violence are abuse.

Not all incidents of violence are even wrong.

There are 1000s of nuances and circumstances in every situation which would indicate whether an incident was wrong or abusive or not.

Of course the response would be horror and revulsion if this was being reported between W & C, or W & M, and if you can't tell the difference between the two it's you who has a serious problem with abuse against women.

Not those of us who can tell the difference between argy bargy between brothers and male violence towards women.

Same. Especially if the reports were true that she was suffering from cancer at the time. Harold and Meg would've known she was ill and yet still they pressed ahead with their annihilation of everything she held dear.

My godson and his brother - similar age gap, but currently teenagers - are physical with each other all the time. Sometimes it is play fighting, but when they really wind each other up there are not averse to a bit of man handling. It is what many brothers do.

I saw a Meme recently with a photo of Harry and a speech bubble in which he was complaining that he won Rock Paper Scissors, but William sat in the front seat of the car. This latest 'revelation' reminds me of that. Talk about first world non-problems. He should try living a day in the shoes of pretty much anyone with his IQ and academic qualification in either the UK or the US. He would be looking at minimum wage jobs and council housing.

Wow this is so utterly offensive to people in low wage jobs or those who live in council homes, equating their opportunities and living situation to their intelligence level. This comment is very ignorant and prejudiced.

How terribly sad if he misses his father's coronation after this.

It ill be his own fault if he does. Although I'm sure he will decide - and tell everyone - that he is the victim.

coolmum123 · 05/01/2023 10:50

I believe it happened. I don't believe it happened in the way it's told. Hadn't stories already come out about how Harry and Meghan were treating staff by this point? Also the what Meghan wants etc to me says that he wasn't willing to listen to anything that wasn't 100% positive about her at all.
So I believe there was an argument, tempers frayed on both sides there was a tussle and Harry fell. He is not doing himself any favours by not taking any responsibility.

Anyone can but guilty of bullying irrespective

ADifferentKindofChristmas · 05/01/2023 10:50

@Theheartmustpausetobreathe

I was in the same situation as you and if they even try it (they very seldom do) I just tell them to "fuck off"

Happiness is the best revenge imo and I am v.happy. They, not so much. It's sheer jealousy.

People treat you how you allow them to treat you and I refuse to be anyone's victim.

VladmirsPoutine · 05/01/2023 10:51

@rwalker That's not how it works when you're not white unfortunately.

MalagaNights · 05/01/2023 10:53

I don't think the RF need to release the bullying report.

I think Harry has fed and watered the seeds that M was a bully in his reporting. Best to leave it at that.

Most people probably thought there was some truth to the bullying stuff. H reporting W's level of anger supports this belief.

Leave it at that. That's enough.

Tamarindtree · 05/01/2023 10:53

Sue Townsend's 1992 comedy The Queen and I imagines what would happen if a republican party won the UK general election and the monarchy was disbanded, the royal family ousted and forced to live in a council estate in Leicester.

I feel that this is the level Harry and Meghan have lowered themselves to in their uncalled for mud slinging and public dramas.

Ahh you are of the brigade of people that think black people are beyond any reproach whatever because they are black.

She can’t have bullied or been rude to staff, silly. She’s black. And if you experienced it from her, or believe those that did, no you didn’t.

I am half black and have met some black people whose personality I did not like. Am I racist?

It's actually a rational response when someone is abusing you and you are unable to get them to stop or remove yourself from that situation.

It's a show, designed to distract you from real life issues. Same with anything else on the screen or in the 'news'. Treat them all as actors or better yet, turn off the propaganda and brainwashing box.

bluelavender · 05/01/2023 10:56

On the 'who cried at the bridesmaid dress fitting' there were 2 emerging narratives. One was that Kate cried. The other was that Meghan cried. I think on balance; someone cried; and I find the version that Kate cried more likely. However; it's possible that they both cried.

In this story; I think that it is likely; as PP have suggested, that this is not the whole story. It's likely that there was a disagreement; and a conflict but without more information its not possible to know who became physical first

I want more info on the broken necklace too.

I imagine the pearls flew right under the kitchen cupboards.

I wonder what Harry is doing/feeling today?

I'd be sitting rocking in a chair if i was him.

Imagine knowing your family and the whole world was waking up and reading your little snippet about your brother knocking you into a dog bowl. And the ensuing laughter/frothing/general tittle tattle. All for a few quid.

Wonder what Meghan's doing/saying?
Stoking his hair and telling him it had to come out sooner or later?

(the gossip not the hair)
