the notion that Meghan wasn’t allowed a therapist whilst harry had his on speed dial is beyond ludicrous.

They never claimed that Meghan wasn't allowed a therapist, the issue was that she wanted to go away somewhere for treatment; that was what was not allowed.

He also said he didn’t tell anyone as he was ashamed of her having these feelings.
What a Prince among men (literally lol)

@Mamma367 Mamma367 Harold doesn't say Willy punched him. He says Willy threw him to the floor.

I'm still trying to make this horrifying smackdown make sense based on face value what's written. It's hard to throw someone to the floor on the first go. That's because if human beings are being pushed, they instinctively move their feet to stay upright. And they lean their weight towards the aggressor to create a counterbalance. Humans are not like weeble toys. They don't just stand still and allow themselves to be pushed over. Especially if the aggressor has given them fair warning of what's about to happen by 'advancing on' them.

The only way I can think it could have happened as advertised is if Willy had employed a move common in ju-jitsu whereby he hooked his leg around Harold's lower leg from the back and snapped backwards. This would cause Harold to fall backwards with his Legs sliding forward and out from under him. This would work best if Willy had the advantage of surprise so perhaps he could have distracted Harold in some way beforehand, maybe by waggling a shiny toy?

Harold would then end up on the floor directly under Willy, so Willy would also have had to make sure that he was standing over the dog bowl before performing his ju jitsu move. I should add that the sliding motion would probably retard Harold's fall making it more challenging to break the dog bowl. Maybe Willy smashed it beforehand and then lightly glued it back together to cause maximum distress?

What style was the necklace btw? Was it one of those hippy dippy Cali hemp affairs favoured by billionaire tech bros? Or was it a Russian diamond of the sort that Meg wanted to wear for her wedding and then had a tantrum because she was told no and allegedly slapped a servant? Did a bowl also break then? Does Willy know ju-jitsu?

I think we should be told.

On the BBC they included a pic of him in South Africa with Meghan wearing a black necklace - hippy dippy type thing you might buy on a beach in Bali.

honestly the things people on here are reading into others without knowing the real situation.

This is not someone coming forward to the police or social services, it's an accusation being made in a profit making and career enhancing enterprise. If you are such an expert in domestic abuse how can you not understand the difference in context here?

100% this

What he's doing is actually undermining other victims. If he wanted to support victims the thing to do would be to pursue this through the proper channels and use his status to ensure it is followed up properly and not publish without any evidence in a tell-all book for money.

Agree. I think some posters are forgetting this is being done for money. And a lot of it.

How odd that Harry was able to call his therapist straight after a tussle with William over the dog food bowl but his suicidal wife wasn't allowed to see one at all. That's a pretty inconsistent detail.

Yes I'm confused. Why didn't he go via Human Resources as they allegedly did with M's alleged problems?

He needs ro remember what he's said, it's his undoing.

They never claimed that Meghan wasn't allowed a therapist, the issue was that she wanted to go away somewhere for treatment; that was what was not allowed.

But that issue was kinda debunked last year when Princess Charlene went into a rehab facility for mental health treatment. So it appears that some royal families are more than happy to facilitate it....

The fact that W&H were heads of a mental health charity yet both seemingly denied a family any mental health treatment is so strange that its almost unbelieveable.

Very much! What the hell really.

IMO using the deeply, deeply misogynistic c-word undermines your argument

Not in my opinion though. However, if you prefer:

William is a cheat and violent and peddles fake news to prop up his ridiculous position.

snapdragon12 · 05/01/2023 09:56

I think it's high time we heard the voices of the many people allegedly bullied by H and M. Those are the voices we need, not the whining of a privileged prince.

Therealroyaldogbowl · 05/01/2023 09:57

*correction to my earlier post about inheritance. Diana’s estate was split equally and overseen my Earl Spencer. W&H inherited whey they turned 30 (around £10m up from £6.5m after investments after her death in 1997) It was the Queen Mother who left him the bill of her estate (£20m) as she knew he would be less provided for. As much as the Queen Mother loved an overdraft and had a spending habit, I doubt she would think it was money well spent.

Harry and William received before the Queen died 95% of their income from Prince Charles. It was more than enough to fund everyone’s modest dresses, school fees etc. no one took a private jet to Elton John’s house in France.

The fact is, Harry has inherited for most people life-changing sums of money. The fact he appears to have spent it like he was Jeff Bezos in Vegas is not this country’s problem. Trying to trash the very institution that provided adequately for you is just immature. There are many kids out there living in shit circumstances who would’ve jumped at the chance of an Eton education and over£30m to fund the rest of your life. That was his platform for good and service right there. The irony of peddling perceived family slights for a grubby press dollar (the very institution you claim killed your Mother, hated your wife blah blah blah) is not lost on the vast majority of free-thinking people in this county.

You beat me to it!

Pictures or it didn't happen.

Especially of the broken necklace and dog bowl.

TheCockatoosCrest · 05/01/2023 09:58

You have to think that someone handed this to the left leaning Guardian. I wonder whose team? I mean, I am sure if a copy was floating around waiting to be discovered by the highest bidder the Mail would have got there first...

I wonder if this was deliberately leaked to take attention away from the fact that the Mandela family have recently told the pair to stay in lane.

Well if we do start hearing from them we will know that the palace is feeding that because presumably they sign NDAs when they are appointed so that typically this stuff cannot get out.

ghjklo · 05/01/2023 09:59

all the people minimising the violence, "This isn't male violence." well what constitutes violence? I think the dictionary definition would disagree with you.

ohdelay · 05/01/2023 09:59

This has tickled me today. I just can't imagine them physically fighting. Wonder if they do a pinchy, wedgy and nuggy version that completely avoids the face or any part that might be photographed.

theworldhas · 05/01/2023 09:59

@Serenster
The William who several times attended the Trooping the Colour festivities and family christmas lunches, as well as other private family events with the Duke of Gloucester’s son in law, full-blood Māori builder Garry Lewis would disagree with you.

I said not a bit of small talk at official engagements/ PR events. And hilarious that your counter example is a couple of dinners attended by a bloke who happened to marry his relative Lady Davina.

What evidence is there that William is a cheat ? Pretty sure if he had H and M would have leaked it .
Of course it is possible that the allegation Meghan started the rumour as she was unhappy not be invited to a State dinner where Harry accompanied and sat beside Rose might just have some truth .

Laiste · 05/01/2023 10:00

The language is woolly.

''grabbed my collar and knocked me to the floor''

Sounds like something read out in court. He's been VERY careful.

''Ripped'' my necklace ..... this has been bugging me since i first heard it this morning though. Ripped? Did he mean the collar?

Two 30 something brothers tussle in the kitchen and one falls into the dog bowl. It shouldn't be funny and it shouldn't be in the news. And yet ...

You mean the Christmas lunches that about 200 extended family members attend?

Trying2bemum · 05/01/2023 10:01

I can only imagine the stress this must be causing Kate and William. I wonder if they will respond? Glad the Queen is not around to see all this.

Vermin · 05/01/2023 10:01

@theworldhas ok how about attending three ordinary schools, one public Scottish university and two jobs in the public sector in wales & Norfolk? His own mother made a very big deal about him mixing with ordinary people. You forget he’s only the 2nd generation of royal to actually attend school.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 05/01/2023 10:02

I wonder if the bullied staff will speak out at some point.

Oh god I hope so.

BradfordGirl · 05/01/2023 10:02

Frankly if we’re going to give credence to gossip and rumour then Harry has some pretty awful stuff floating around about his behaviour.

Worse than what’s already common knowledge and made it to the media.
