I honestly thought maybe they're all in it together, the royals taking a different tack to stay relevant, encouraging this media hate campaign for both sides to create wealth, I don't know it's bizzarre.

The real winners out of all of this are the tabloids, they have gotten more private photos and stories out of Harry in the last month than they ever could have dreamed of. The last time they had this much was during the War of the Waleses.

What I'm most interested to read about from the book is what responsibility Harry sees for himself in the whole thing or is he blameless. We know he wanted an apology but did he give one himself or is that not necessary? The Netflix series it seemed like everyone else was at fault.

@oakleaffy Yes Harry is short for Harold if your name is actually Harold, but it was made clear when Harry was born he was Prince Henry but would be called Harry, Harry being another name for Henry has historical roots Henry 8th was often referred to as King Harry or good King Hal, William would not have called him Harold unless it was a pet name

William may have a temper but so does Harry. This is an article about Harry going for a journalist. It is rather old. However, I note that Clarence House made a statement defending Harry. We don’t know what happened during this altercation. I am imagining both brothers coming to blows at times as they both reportedly have hot tempers. I therefore expect William could also tell of similar stories. I no way am I excusing this as it is not how grown men should act.

It was really low blow to include a quote about William getting upset as a child when clearly he was being bullied at school.

Know that family relationships are complicated and all humans are flawed. It's unlikely Harry behaved impeccably here but according to him he is the victim. We have now had hours of explaining and complaining from him and nothing from the RF. there is definitely something to be said for maintaining a dignified silence .

It was believed in political circles at the time it was best to appease Hitler. These photos were taken early to mid 1930s way before the atrocities against the Jews. krystalnacht was in 1938. It doesn’t make the Rf pro Nazi.

If Harry is blaming his brother and his wife for the Nazi uniform, who is he blaming for making him use the ‘p’ word?

He’s just given the royal family Carte Blanche to let loose whatever they have under wraps re Meghan.

But aren't the RF already doing this through their "sources". He said in the interview that they feed the media with whatever story they want so maybe this wasn't one the RF wanted to come out - I don't think the RF or their sources are holding back out of any duty to M&H. It's more that they know M&H but especially M has more to give.

Maybe it will be Tit for Tat and the RF will release something via their sources after the book is released rather than just the snippets.

I think the RF have a lot more they could say/release - but I don't think they will now because it will be an obvious tit for tat, and it will prove Harry's point about leaks. So they're more or less stuffed - they can't say anything much officially because that's not the royal protocol. And they can't leak anything damaging because Harry will just say it proves him to be right.

Harry knows all this, and is well aware that he basically has carte blanche to make up any old shit he likes because his brother isn't in a position to do much about it.

I think they know this but the point for them is that it was their choice to give any footage or photos.

I think it was leaked by a H&M “source” to detract from what Mandela’s grand daughter had said about them exploiting his legacy to make millions.

Also amazing how after this m apparently had no access to therapists and how William was still Harry’s best man.

Of course if King George had not been made to abdicate he probably wouldn't have been manipulated by Hitler by the same token, Harry and Meghan's exit will have other manipulative forces gleefully rubbing their hands together making sure this schism explodes for their own advantage.

The royals can only keep quiet and wait for the fallout, they will not want to harm Harry, it is in their best interests to keep him protected. On the other hand Meghan, I wouldn't like to be in her shoes if their relationship comes into trouble.

In that respect I feel sorry for her.

Edward and Wallis did meet with Hitler in Munich 1938. And the Nuremberg Laws were passed in 1935 (Jews were stripped of their citizenship and intermarriage was forbidden between Jews and non-Jews, Jews were banned from universities etc etc)

They leak all the time and it's on record they do this (eg Jason Knauf's evidence in Meghan's court case saying they - HAM and their palace employees collaborated with the Finding Freedom authors. There are also daily articles in the Daily Mail coming straight from the palace. Everything, more or less, later turns out to be true. They rarely deny anything or sue anyone over it and some stuff must clearly come from people very close to them so would presumably have their approval. And they can and do go on record to say things when they deem it appropriate and always have done. I can't see any reason why any of that will change now. I don't think Harry's allegations are really news
