Loving this series. Well done Harry and Meghan. Fantastic and inspirational production.

”More” likely to……not one likely to…..

It's a fantastic series, the misogynists at the Daily Mail etc will do their very best to bat down all these great efforts. Doesn't suit their agenda.

Goodness, you've a head filled with nitrous oxide I'm guessing 🤣

wishingyouwell · 31/12/2022 13:27

You lead and align yourselves to projects you believe in and where your values and in sync. There will naturally be a media war against this from far right quarters as the series addresses social injustices including women's rights, the environment and black lives matters. They will hate that.

I love the timing of Greta's twitter war and this series coming out. Brilliant.

Live and let live. I am loving this but I don't suck up the rubbish from the Daily Mail etc. If that's not for you, fine, don't watch it.

You're hilarious! 😆 such a numbskull

I watched the series, and I think for the next 10 years, we will see the same story coming in many different ways... movies, another series, youtube series blah blah . Then when their kids grow, it'll continue... Oh how their cousins treated them blah blah... This story will never end.

However, here is what I don't understand, and I need you guys to help me..

According to Harry, Royal Institution and Media worked together. If Royal wanted to keep the media quiet, they could, but they choice not to! Not only that, it was someone from the palace who told the media about the letter that Meghan sent to her Dad. So as she said, they were thrown to wolfs by the Royal.

Why media and royal family didn't like 'Meghan'? Is it because she's black or not?
Also, if Meghan were not supposed to be too public, they could tell her not to work, and she wouldn't be in the public eye.

Or, according to some stories I read, Harry is not a child of Charles; he's not Royal anyway. It was Harry's supposed to leave the family, and excuse of Meghan just sorted this issue out, and it was not the Royal family that kicked them out; it was the public who kicked them out, so it's nobody's fault. Could this be true?

I don’t think the RF didn’t like Meghan, because the late Queen did everything she could to include Meghan and even told Meghan to keep working as an actress if she wanted too.

I think it all went wrong when Meghan (allegedly) told Harry she was pregnant, then (allegedly) miscarried after the wedding. I also think that Meghan’s behaviour leading up to the wedding put a lot of senior royals off; Meghan wearing a full on white gown, the veil, refusing to invite her family but using Harry’s position to invite “Hollywood Royalty” such as George Clooney, a man she’d never met before, etc., etc.

Those rumours of Harry being the son of James Hewitt are very old and predate the late Diana, Princess of Wales’, interview with the now disgraced Martin Bashir. It’s no secret that Diana was running around with different men throughout her marriage, but her attitude seemed to be that the King (at the time, plain old Prince Charles) was sleeping with the (now) Queen Consort, so it should be okay! However, Diana always said that she only started seeing Hewitt after Harry was born and let’s not forget that ginger hair runs through the Spencer line. It wouldn’t surprise me if the RF had had DNA tests done secretly (after all, you couldn’t have a commoners son that close to the throne in the LOS).

Furries · 01/01/2023 03:30

The Harry rumours are so pointless. Not a fan of him right now, but I’ll stick my neck out on that subject.

MarshaMelrose · 01/01/2023 05:14

Not only that, it was someone from the palace who told the media about the letter that Meghan sent to her Dad.

Wasn't it Meghans friends who told the media about the letter in an interview in The People? And Thomas Markle didn't agree with the representation so he gave the letter to the Mail on Sunday.

MarshaMelrose · 01/01/2023 05:17

I'm glad you enjoyed it @wishingyouwell. I don't have Netflix so can't watch it. What was it about? Who was the interviewee this week and what did they say?

meinteresamucho · 01/01/2023 06:33

I'm not a fan of Meghan's but surely the white wedding dress thing is bonkers to be upset about?! Even if you're 94? It's 2023!

CoffeandTiaMaria · 01/01/2023 07:04

wishingyouwell · 31/12/2022 13:06

If you don't like it, don't watch it. Simple. But your hatred will lead you to watch it.

🙄
Like hell it will!
You sound brainwashed OP 😵‍💫

JoanOfAllTrades · 01/01/2023 08:42

@meinteresamucho

I recall (perhaps incorrectly) that the reason a “source” gave for the late Queen disliking the white dress and veil was because Meghan was a divorced woman, who had been in a de-facto relationship that she ended just as she met Harry and as the Supreme Head of the Anglican Church, the Queen felt that it wasn’t seemly, just as she didn’t go to the King’s remarriage to Camilla, the Queen Consort, or to Anne, the Princess Royal’s remarriage because at the time, the Church ruling was that divorced people could remarry, but the Church also made it clear that they felt it was wrong.

I also recall that there was some debacle around an emerald tiara that Meghan wanted to wear and the late Queen refused to allow it due to its unknown provenance and Harry kicked off because Meghan (apparently) threw a hissy fit.

Redglitter · 01/01/2023 08:46

Hope all watching enjoy it as much as I did

I think its pretty impossible for ANYONE to enjoy it as much as you seem to have 🙄

What a strange thread. OP not actually realising H&M had nothing to do with the content.

They do know they’re just being deliberately annoying. It reads very similar to other posts on various platforms that blindly support those two numpties so they are either a ‘sugar’ or a bot.

Furries · 01/01/2023 03:30

Me too. Can’t stand the wet whiny wimp but he is not Hewitt’s son. His eyes and nose area is 100% male side of the RF.

SamphirethePogoingStickerist · 01/01/2023 09:25

FrownedUpon · 31/12/2022 14:12

OP is definitely PR for M&H. I have no interest in watching it. In fact I’ll avoid anything with H&M in. So tedious.

That's the real problem. Their association with it could be destroying the reputation, saleability of someone else's hard work and financial input, including everyone who was interviewed.

I find this deeply disgusting in ways that are quite hard to articulate. A general recoil, revulsion.

Ohnonevermind · 01/01/2023 10:27

This title is appearing on the first page of searches for the series. This thread might as well say ‘paid sponsorship’ on the top

I just checked and you are right, I cannot believe it! Thread should be pulled upon that basis.

I can't thank enough! It's all clear to me now and I can see where all things coming from. I didn't know manything you mentioned. Huge thanks!

BethJ62 · 01/01/2023 10:51

The comments under the trailer are pure gold 😂

milti · 01/01/2023 11:11

This is the kind of tosh they should have been doing all along. However, it’s just a filler - the real coin comes from spilling the beans about the real power players - the beans however are rather underwhelming so far

Edinburghmusing · 01/01/2023 11:12

@BethJ62 how do you get to the comments? I couldn’t find them?

MarshaMelrose · 01/01/2023 11:17

I think Netflix and the Mandela Foundation have been proved right to have HAM host the programme. It's got actual reviews in the papers. Poor to tepid reviews, but still. Nobody would even have heard of it without HAM being attached.

I just googled Live to Lead trailer and the YouTube trailer came up . You don’t have to sign in .
If I was a bit more technically competent I would link .

JoanOfAllTrades · 01/01/2023 13:11

@notmumlisa

You may be interested to read my post from 08:42, which gives some more Meghan background re: the late Queen.

I would also say that I never personally believed any rumours re: Harry’s paternity. Diana knew her duty was to produce at least 2 children, which she did.

Interestingly, Diana always wanted a daughter, and it was common knowledge that she would have called her “Charlotte”.

meinteresamucho · 01/01/2023 15:15

Fair enough the Queen feeling she has to observe the religious side of things but still. Nobody is a virgin on marriage these days, divorced before or not, and everyone wears white anyway. I don't think it means anything. But who knows what the Queen actually thought. That's interesting Diana would have called a daughter Charlottel

Byfleet · 01/01/2023 15:31

You're welcome. I hope you enjoy it also

This is not British English. It is either American or a bot
