The royal family

It's shocking how much harder the older Royals are working

The Princess of Wales barely outworked Queen Elizabeth who died in early September after cancelling a series of engagements.

Charles and Anne look to be carrying the monarchy at present. The Earl and Countess of Wessex are grafting hard as well.

What do William and Kate spend their days doing? Surely as young energetic members of the RF, they should be pulling their weight.

Working hard? They wouldn't know a hard day's work if it bit them in the arse. Bunch of bloody parasites.

Why should the older royals stop their work or slow down? They probably enjoy nearly every thing about their jobs like most of us. The younger royals should be investing in their children who have a life time of unusual exposure and serious expections placed on them. The BRF is very good value. The monarch comes with dedicated, respected and experienced helpers in the form of extended family. Though, that help should not be a given.

I'm not sure the good value argument holds water anymore, especially as the 70(?)p per person amount doesn't include security costs. Baker's book really is an eye-opener

Absolutely! But people are willing to carry on supporting them.Kate M wore an evening dress costing £10k + the other night, and the press try to tell us how 'thrifty' she is! It makes me sick especially when people can't afford to feed their kids. Then we have King C's coronation to look forward to! He has publicly expressed he wants maximum pomp and ceremony - so he doesn't give a shit either.

Quite.
Who on earth would want to be in Camilla's position, a job promotion at 75 when most people are thinking of, or actually are, retired - not for me thanks.

TBF I don’t think Camilla worked a day in her life till she married Charles, so she got plenty of rest in early

Wikipedia suggests she "worked as a secretary for a variety of firms in the West End, and was later employed as a receptionist by the decorating firm Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler in Mayfair"

Lol yes back in the late 60s it appears! She was all horses and marriage and coming out as a debutante.
