And no longer allowed to use it for correspondence apparently.

Interesting…

This is one of those 'well why was he still able to do that?' moments. When he withdrew from public life, his office at Buck House should have been closed and of course he shouldn't have been using it as his correspondence address.

antelopevalley · 24/12/2022 19:46

Why did it take so long!!!

AutumnCrow · 24/12/2022 19:49

My guess is her Maj still permitted it, and Charles has allowed the dust to settle after her death and staff to be consulted about redundancy.

Might be wrong but bloody hell it looks like the Queen really did have a soft spot for that bloody paedophile-befriender and pal-of-a-trafficker.

JaneJeffer · 24/12/2022 19:52

YOU HAVE BEEN EVICTED PLEASE LEAVE YOUR BIG BROTHER'S HOUSE

antelopevalley · 24/12/2022 19:55

@AutumnCrow Andrew was supposed to be her favourite son

I wonder if his staff will just move to wherever his new office will be? Although, does he even need staff now ?

antelopevalley · 24/12/2022 20:01

His staff are probably busy sending out letters to top golf clubs asking to return as a guest and posting on social media saying Andrew is really not that bad.

Georgeskitchen · 24/12/2022 20:06

I wonder why he needs staff. He doesn't carry out royal engagements anymore. I doubt Charles will allow him back in the fold. Well publicly anyway

antelopevalley · 24/12/2022 20:07

I think they will try and let him back in. I hope the public will continue not to accept it.

spanieleyes · 24/12/2022 20:09

I think there is absolutely no chance they will" let him back in" . He is still a brother/uncle/cousin and as such might be seen in " private" moments. But it is clear King Charles and Prince William don't see him having any public role at all.

SighsTheNewWord · 24/12/2022 20:10

This is interesting. Wonder what else Charles has up his sleeves?

Nat6999 · 24/12/2022 20:25

I wonder if he will be seen at church tomorrow? Fergie has been allowed to go to Sandringham with him.

MrsMoastyToasty · 24/12/2022 20:58

Well Buckingham Palace is the "office" for the Royal family and as he's no longer a working Royal its only proper that he should leave.
As William and Harry's family grow and have family of their own his place in the line of succession becomes lower and lower.

Why did it take so long!!!

Because he’s only just come to ‘power’. Mummy protected Her Favourite Son. I’ve said for years that Big Brother Charles won’t do the same

notanotheroneagain · 24/12/2022 21:35

Really, what took them so long. !

From the time the press covered that he was friends with Epstein, it took years to remove him. They were rather swift with his nephew, mind.

It's always been a bit curious to me that HE is the favourite child - that usually goes to the first or last born (all 3 boys in this case too, so no gender differentiating). Is it because he was the 'reconciliation' child ? This was suggested in a few documentaries.

Why is Charles paying for his security now. Was that an agreement with HMQ?

notanotheroneagain · 24/12/2022 21:37

Also, just read a reminder that he was almost king but Charles cheated death a number of times. Run over by a bus while cycling in Cambridge / tangled in a parachute/ I think there are a couple more. Eek !

antelopevalley · 24/12/2022 21:38

Andrew is supposed to be the favourite child. When Charles and Anne were born the Queen went on a long foreign tour and was busy with engagements.
With Andrew she had time to spend with him.

I think I read he will be there at church but will not be walking with the rest of the family

I feel like this has gone completely under appreciated

Seriously! That sounds like the ploy of a bad Hallmark movie where a second born son tries to kill his King-to-be brother 🤣

notanotheroneagain · 24/12/2022 22:06

😂😂

It totally does !
I had forgotten all about it, but when a biographer said them all together at once recently, I though, blimey. He was not suggesting anyone in the family was doing that, mind you.

😂

TBH I think it shows - he’s got that snivelling mummy’s boy demeanour about him, he reeks of someone who always had his way and was never criticised.

My grandad was in the Navy and once had dinner with PA. My grandad outranked him. My grandad is the type of person who rarely finds fault in anyone and says things like “Well I know Stephen held the post office up at gun point and that lady behind the counter had a heart attack but poor lad had an awful stutter as a child and used to wee the bed so he hasn’t had it easy”. He also never swears.

He describes Prince Andrew as a “fucking pompous little prick” whenever he sees him on the tele.

notanotheroneagain · 24/12/2022 22:09

A reminder of how he treated staff.
