Daily Mail thinks it has evidence. Let's discuss.

Prince Philip's memorial service

I seem to remember that that was deliberate, as racing green was Philip's favourite colour.

The outfits for the concert would've been planned long before the Netflix docu series was aired. It's ridiculous to assume Kate has the time or energy to be so petty. I think this was such a silly news article.

Haha, if anyone has the time and energy for this sort of petty drama it’s a woman without a job, zero money worries and with a full complement of staff. Why do you think so much drama emerges from the royals? They’re bored as fuck with nothing to do.

Reminds me of the photo caption in Diana: A True Story – “As a busy princess, Diana has her hair done two or three times a day”.

DewinDwl · 21/12/2022 14:39

good for them, it’s a classy and humorous way to do it.

Seems petty to me

ElizabethBest · 21/12/2022 14:42

they all wore either red or white - were they not just trying to be christmassy....? Confused

FavouriteTie · 21/12/2022 14:44

Classy? 🤭

Wow.... this royal stuff is obsession for some of you.

You do realise this is the Royal Family board? 🙄

Yes, it was deliberate, but I think it is Edinburgh green.

Ah, could have been!

CoffeeBoy · 21/12/2022 15:05

I doubt it because wasn’t it the same day that the Netflix episode dropped¿. I doubt they watched it that day and all agreed to change outfits. It’s just a nice Christmas colour. If it had been a week later I’d be more inclined to believe it.

Worstdilhesaid · 21/12/2022 15:06

I'm sorry but I just don't understand Meghan's original claim about being afraid of wearing the same colour as other royals, would it not be easy enough to find out in advance?

Meghan and Harry had staff working for them, could she not have asked them to find out, or speak to Catherine and Camilla directly 'Hi Kate, what colour are you planning to wear to X?' I don't understand why this was such a struggle.

Andsoforth · 21/12/2022 15:20

If they did coordinate deliberately, then it only adds credence to what Megan said; it’s an exception that proves the rule.

The late queen famously dressed in bright colours so the people at the back could see her, and whether it was explicitly royal protocol or not, I would have assumed that it would be a given not to wear the same colour as the queen if that was her intention.

Neither Camilla nor Charles have taken to wearing ostentatiously vivid colours, so it stands to reason that dress codes and protocols will shift a bit.

It was a week later; the documentary landed in two parts and part one, where Meghan said she avoided wearing the same colour as other royals, was a week before the carol concert.

MintyFreshOne · 21/12/2022 15:37

If they’ve done this as some sort of response to MM, it’s absolutely pathetic. Better to let us think it’s just a coincidence, a seasonal colour etc etc

tattychicken · 21/12/2022 15:50

The Cambridge's do arrive together?

Theunamedcat · 21/12/2022 16:03

Looking at last year's concert catherine went jewel red her husbands tie matched her and other people wore burgundy dark green etc so festive colours I saw nothing really out of the order in what they wore as they are festive colours again like last year

Catherine and her family regularly match colours

I'm not an expert on this at all but can refute you there - the controversial green thing was actually worn on their Goodbye Britain tour back in March 2020. This was the set of events where meghan just wore what she wanted and didn't give a shit anymore. She was literally going 'Fuck you all, I'm getting out of here as fast as I can and I'm going to dress in all the colours I can find'.

I know this because I binge watched the Netflix thing last night for my sins. 🥴

It says online it was worn at the Commonwealth Day service.

Only provided so that it didn't clutter up the rest of MN with such spiteful and petty dross. Even AIBU stops throwing buns sometimes...

I can't believe that women invest this much time and bile on something they have now way of knowing what is fact and what is very much fiction.

Yep she never wore colour.

She looks stunning and happy.

LadyVictoriaSponge · 21/12/2022 16:56

Agreed, I do like her style in the main.

Most people think a few people especially on MN who have nothing better to do hate on Meghan. You literally can’t escape her and H’s whingeing. I don’t actually hate them but you can see right through both of them and the genuine vibe she tries to get across just screams fake to me. Her hugger story, if I were being hugged by her I’d watch for the knife going into my back.

No one wants her tarred and feathered but when you see every other post, newspaper article etc about them it gets a bit grating. She is as I’ve said before an attention seeker. She loves the attention, even now. She really wouldn’t be happy if no one had ever been nasty to her or criticised her ever. She seems the sort of person who’ll take a slight at whatever, however she’s given/treated/spoken to and seems to have a big case of one upwomanship with Kate.

Thank goodness you’ve clarified this for me. I wouldn’t be able to sleep not knowing this! Hmm

Do you think she asks for 27 articles in one day in the DM to be printed?

No.

Meghan wasn't seen or heard from for 104 days last year and guess what happened? the press didn't stop.

She's not putting a gun to the head of the editors who write multiple articles about her daily. If you want to escape her whingeing, stop reading the articles.

Where is Meghan Markle? 104 days out of sight!
