Has Jeremy Clarkson just proved Harry and Meghan right?

On the radio it was discussing how Harry and Meghan said on Netflix that they got very upset in the past when newspapers would write horrible articles and the Royal Family institute would never have their backs and condone the articles in public.
so after the disgusting article that Jeremy wrote albeit his lame apology on Twitter, there has been no news as far as I am aware of the Royal Family saying violence written about Meghan etc is wrong.
so that being said haven’t they done what Meghan and Harry were moaning about that the Royal family never had their backs?

If Jeremy Clarkson had said that about Kate or the Queen or Camilla the Palace and the tabloids would have had his guts for garters. But because it's Meghan it's being minimised. That's all the proof needed

Charles and William's silence on this is like an extra bonus gift of a sway in public opinion towards them. Camilla attending the lunch with Meghan's most vicious attackers is the bow on the gift

JCs article is truly vile.I know he likes to be provocative but this is more than that. However it doesn't change my original opinion of the way H and M have behaved Especially the doctoring of footage and the queen's speech. The oh so carefully filmed receiving of texts not even in their own home.The way they have passively aggressively lobbed out grievances over 3 years.Smacks of dishonesty and manipulation. Reminds me uncomfortably of the oh do popular but covertly mean girls at school.

I think anyone firing a scud missile at the Royal Family and the UK in general, would have been in the firing line for retaliation, that doesn't surprise me.

However JC was disgusting and also a misognyst that he targeted MM, the scud missiles against the UK came from both MM and PH, even worse from H to try to destroy his own family and the British people.

Perhaps a bit extreme? I’ve watched the docuseries and, contrary to the hype, I didn’t find anything explosive and bombshell-y about it. I think we should all turn it down a notch.

They have left the Royal Family and want distance. Their own PR team should be putting out a statement, not the RF. The RF should not be commenting on personal (non working) family members anymore than Thomas Markle. Any comments will just incite more press and more conflict.

They are however H and M have made it clear that they do not like personal family talking about them. So releasing something official about non working family members personal matters would only stir the pot more. The RF PR team is for official matters, not personal non working family issues. H and M have a PR team of their own now - they should be commenting. H and M really want nothing to do with the RF or H's family and the RF releasing something would likely only incite more conflict.

Putting out a general "we do not tolerate this type not behavior" would not be speaking for H & M. But it would show support. Heck, the POW condemned the behavior of Lady S. He publicly supported 3 athletes.

None of those are family members.

Personally if I hated my family and my life's work was producing shows to criticize them and I left the country and my job to get away from them- I would not want them commenting publicly in the press about me.

I think it is best for the RF to stay silent given this is about non working members. If H and Ms own production company and PR team aren't responding, that says a lot. I would take their lead and don't think the RF inserting themselves where they aren't wanted when their own PR team is silent would do anyone any good. Has Doria put out a statement speaking out for MM as a woman, wife, mother and daughter?

I’m not waiting for Doria. I’m in the UK and British and waiting for the RF to put out a statement, as they would, one thinks, if Clarkson had had those lurid dreams in writing about Kate. I hope H&M take the paper to the cleaners on this one and Harry’s upcoming book on 10th January gets good sales.

I too hope they take action against the Sun and Jeremy. Those are the offending parties. I don't hold Doria or Charles responsible for this.
