I really do

I like Megan Markle from what I've seen. I think she is down to earth unlike some others in the RF. She seems really approachable, and like she would be easy to get along with. I liked that she has no airs or graces and keeps it real. I also think all of the charity works and her devotion to womens rights is amazing. She seems like an intelligent strong woman with a personality; this unfortunately threatens alot of small minded people. I thought the documentary was a good move so they could tell their story their own way. I can't imagine the annoyance of other people telling tales!

I think the RF think the same! 😁

Holdmycoat · 19/01/2023 18:29

Oh yes I definately think they've overshared and should have kept some things to themselves. I do however think nobody is perfect, everybody has their reasons (some not everybody will understand) and she doesn't seem like a bad person at all.

Really?

Someone who tells a Palace employee "I think we both know I'll soon be your boss" has no airs and graces? She's gone through huge numbers of staff both in the UK and the USA.

The charity work seems rather minimal and it's not clear how much Archewell have actually donated. And Spare doesn't paint her as much of a feminist either.

I reckon a lot of people would agree with your last sentence if they've read the book.

Hopeforthebetter · 20/01/2023 12:00

Do we really know she said that though. I agree that there are probably loads of lies being pedalled. I doubt she would be so stupid as to expressly speak to an employee in such a nasty manner. I’m not sure whether the foundations intention is to donate; more raise awareness of certain issues

doubleshotcappuccino · 20/01/2023 12:01

Love her

Do you honestly believe that she told someone I will soon be your boss?

I think that your whole post was disingenuous tbh

Ohnonevermind · 21/01/2023 17:25

@Lampzade

its far more likely than most of Harry’s book 🤷‍♀️

trucklebrunch · 21/01/2023 19:59

In the beginning I really liked her.

When they left the UK I supported them, was disappointed it didn't work out for them.

After Oprah interview I couldn't stand her - thought she was the whole problem.

Now....I think he is in fact the problem and his paranoia and bitterness has ensured she could never have settled or thrived in the RF, he didn't help her.

I honestly think she needs to take her kids and run, he us toxic.

But really I don't know what to think...my opinion swings depending on who is controlling the narrative. Which proves we actually know nothing really.

FunnyWorldWeLiveIn · 22/01/2023 00:56

I like both of them. Now can't stand both of them :(
Just as bad as each other.
Have your life away from the royal family, give back your titles.
Don't make money by begging your family.
Easy, then I might like them a bit more.

FunnyWorldWeLiveIn · 22/01/2023 00:57

That should say
I did like them.

Boulshired · 22/01/2023 01:18

I like her, I feel her and Harry whilst they love each other they have also brought each other down. Two people holding onto grudges. I feel sorry that Harry’s book has brought more abuse to her door than his as well as Kate and Camilla getting abuse. The men are getting much less abuse on Twitter.

CallieQ · 22/01/2023 01:22

Goady post!

Cam22 · 30/01/2023 14:27

Markle is ridiculous. The end.

garlicandsapphires · 30/01/2023 15:36

The Archbishop of Canterbury apparently really likes her too: "She’s a person of profound humanity and deep concern for people, seeking to carry out her role with every ounce of her being – and I think she’s a remarkable person."

So if she's good enough for him, she's good enough for me.

I'm not her biggest fan, but she's OK. However she's tons too good to be judged by fun sponge Welby. I can't believe we ended up with him and not John Sentamu. At least he cracks a smile once in a while and doesn't intone like were all about to be consumed by the fires of hell.
Why do you put any store in his opinion? 😕

Sure he's not my fave Archbish (that would have to be Rowan) but he's serious minded, trustworthy-ish and has actually MET them. So I do put store in what he says.

MarshaMelrose · 30/01/2023 18:47

😂😂 That's true. He has met them. That's one rung up from most people giving opinions, I guess.

MarshaMelrose · 30/01/2023 18:51

Mind you, he's the AB of C. He's not going to say, they're a pair of fucking loons. They need to be dispatched to The 13 Colonies at the first bloody chance. 😁😁 Now, that would be an archbishop I could get on board with. 😉

Yeah I wonder who is the smartest in the room here 😅
