I like her! And Harry! I admit to having been rather swayed by the mainstream media before; I believed the stuff they wrote.

Just watched the Netflix series and it really changed my mind. I understand that from time to time she comes across as insincere; that perhaps the series is a bit tone deaf (they are very privileged and complaining) BUT…. but…. I think they are brave. I think on the whole they are telling the truth.

She is a very intelligent, accomplished woman and as a couple I hope they use this platform to do good.

I understand the venom against them… not the reasons as such but just people can be venomous. In my view it’s unjustified and I abhor the media coverage of her that was racist. There is no excuse.

There is nothing appealing or classy about the K family. The whole comparing Meghan to them is a ridiculous argument.

I love her. I am following this with a passion! I saw an article yeterday about her parents. Her Dad was a lighting engineer and her mum a make up artist; they met on a TV set. They were both followers of a spitiutal path and her mum did yoga. They had a very agreeable break up and raised her together. People are so scathing of her. They way i see her is she was raised with a balance of factors that moulded her into a competent, aware woman for whom going to work in the media was natural. I think she hoped that the Royal Family would welcome her that that her presence would eventually shape it into a more multicultural and inclusive institution. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. People are being utterly vile. There is more vitriol launched at her than there has been at Saville, Prince Andrew or Prince Phillip for his zenophobic comments over the years. This says more about British Culture than anything else. I love her! Theyve rattled cages and rightly so. YANBU

I agree that he should speak out against that article. However I doubt he will....Clarkson was at a Christmas lunch with Queen Camilla along with Piers Morgan so it is obvious where their sympathies lie (could there be a connection between that and this article? Who knows?).

@Loudhousefun to be honest if my daughter-in-law was spreading lies and talking about the rest of the family I would feel very little sympathy or loyalty towards her. Only 3 episodes in and the lies being fed are unbelievable

We must have been watching different documentaries then because I have seen all 6 episodes and she praises both the queen and Charles? She said he was ‘ charming’ and loved spending time with the queen.

7eleven she does say in the documentary that she was lonely growing up and would have like lots of cousins? So it all makes sense that she had hardly any family there but a lot of friends. She has a very close relationship with her mother who seems like a wonderful grounded woman.

@Loudhousefun did you forget that Oprah interview. They have been making negative comments about the family for some time so no I would think most of the family are fed up with their name getting dragged through the mud on baseless accusations by both of them by this point

I don't recall the family ever being dragged through the mud during the Oprah interview. To be frank the only person who has been 'dragged through the mud' by anyone is Meghan herself. And none of us know for sure whether or not their perspectives (not sure whether they amount to accusations) are baseless.

How can you know it is lies when: 1. You do not know her. 2. You have not heard the programme in which these "lies" were aired?

It is fascinating how the public can put someone on a pedestal - the fairy princess who will bring the royal family up to date - and then hate so quickly. Maybe we need to grow out of needing these magical figures to venerate, then there would be no need for the hate.
