It’s a shame Harry’s family were not able to see that Meghan’s treatment by the press is different because of the race element. It must make him so sad and feel so helpless that his family can’t seem to understand this.

It's irrelevant now whether or not you like H&M or believe everything they say. NOTHING can justify the level of hate we are seeing (fuelled as it is by misogyny and racism) and NOBODY can possibly deserve it.

The thing is, they’re just like any other family in terms of personalities, aren’t they? Some are slime balls, some are racists, some are snobs…Others are kind, warm and nice. Trouble is they’re meant to be role models. That’s the issue, otherwise, why do we pay them so much and give them so much of our land. They really should strive to be better than us. They aren’t doing very good job of that.

And it amazes me that perfectly nice people I know, who are otherwise blameless and kindly have jumped on this bandwagon and fuel the hate. Very worrying and very sad that they are so easily led. Whether you think one side or the other is "in the right" (and how the hell would we know?) there is no reason or excuse for the vile things that are being said.

I have since watched the documentary and I think they both come across well overall. They don't deserve such rapid hatred.

I too have lovely friends whoae whole demeanour changes, their voice goes hard when they talk about her !

It seems like 'burn the witch' syndrome - she's become a scapegoat to many.

I like her and she translats very well, she is a natural communicator.

I think all Harry's ex gf were cut from the same cloth as Kate, cut glass, similar schools, easy to pigeon hole, someones dad or brother knows someone somewhere. They do same social rounds...

Kate bless her...so much to commend her but she's very static as a speaker. She doesn't exude warmth when speaking to people.
Poor Harry is struggling, gf won't stay and it's a nice role for wills and Kate to usher Harry along.

Then ,out of the blue comes this person who is from a totally different country, she sort of seems posh but not, she's the old cliché, an actress...she also got a power about her ,she's used to working, getting along organising things. She knows what to do ,how to host and she's older than them 😂.

She wasn't Someone they could easily show the ropes too and she was better at the meeting and greeting than them as hard as they try.

It's her profession after all they have just tried to adapt.

Absolutely. People have totally dehumanised them both. Maybe they haven’t acted perfectly and done things people don’t like but the levels of vitriol and excuses made for the genuine hate they receive are awful.

Someone, they can wake up, look up what they're doing and post about them endlessly... picking their lives apart, every facial expression pounced upon, every outfit they wear scrutinised, everything they write twisted and manipulated to get others agree with you about how disgusting they are. And when you run out of current fodder, just regurgitate wedding 3 day ago, the time she smiled in church, Nelson Mandela, holding her baby bump, and letter to her Dad. On and on and on.

And for what? That rush of adrenalin when you think of a new name or insult to call him or her. You feel very pleased with yourself but time doesn't stop because it's then on to the next insult or way to dehumanise them. The nicknames of them, the endless ways to call Harry thick, and her scheming, nasty, a two bit actress, a fake, a destroyer.

I cannot understand people, there has never been such hate that I have known. And let's not drag Fergie, Camilla and Kate into this as equal. This is way way behind what they went through. It's been since the engagement. Five years now. No point in disputing that, there are threads on here back in 2017 to prove it. I can link if you don't believe me.

Not everyone has been like this but there are a core of posters on here who never gave her a chance and there are posters whose dislike of her has built over the years and they have been recruited into this with a vengeance.

I find it worrying and sad.
