Hahaha, but seriously

custardbear · 17/12/2022 07:39

I really don't like MM! She's very manipulating, the docustory was self serving, fairytale, inhaled at everything that's happened being everyone else's fault and they're just so in love. The lies and misdirection, stating about the press intrusions, but it's not true! The bit about her changing the advert for dish soap is her interpretation of changing a corporate Industrys mind ... nope, I think it was P&G and they said it wasn't true. The lies in the Oprah interview, the greed for the public purse, constant filming of their narrative for many years means they've been building and shaping this for years. It's all smoke, mirrors, lies and manipulation ... to what end? ... she's building herself a platform to spout from as a 'thought leader' 😆😆😆 but she's not! She's no expert in works issues, nobody (expert wise) cares about her opinion because she's hoisting herself up onto a platform she has no business being on for so many reasons

She and her idiot of a husband have tried to claim that stress caused an early miscarriage- thus inferring that this might be the cause of other women’s miscarriages.

We all need to reflect carefully on this. Those of us who have had family members suggest that it happened due to job stress etc know how painful that is. Hopefully people will read the responses from obstetricians that have cast doubt on this, but it was an appalling thing to do. They might want to believe it about their own situation but broadcasting it can only upset other people.

If I got the chance to be in the room with Harry I would scream at him a hell of a lot louder than his brother allegedly did.

No, it infers it may have caused her one. Not anyone elses.

Doihavetogotoworkdotcom1 · 17/12/2022 09:31

Can’t stand her either. A life is all an act like the actress that she is.

And yet here you are.
I tend to avoid or not read about people I don't like.

mrsbitaly · 17/12/2022 09:49

I don't know her so I can't say either way. I think the media can be very persuasive to the public which can work favourably or not for famous people. They get to choose whether they rip someone's life apart or put them on a pedestal. I don't get roped in to the shit they write.

But I’d argue that the whole royal family are an act. An actress was fitting for the part.

QEII’s act was fine never complain and never explain. So we never saw the real person behind the act.

Because she had a book about Diana's life on her coffee table

Says who?

So just her coffee table? So her son wouldn’t have a book about his mum on THEIR coffee table?

Did you just leave the room or fast forward through the press intrusion bits, or…?

custardbear · 17/12/2022 11:45

@pelargoniums - they put footage in of the Harry Potter premier and Jordan's court case. There are rules about the RF and what can be published, they get signed off by the palace - they're trying to make out it's like Diana's day, but the governance and rules have completely changed - their narrative is twisted abs lies

Her friend. She said it years ago. Not in a nasty way. Just sort of background info.

It was before she'd met Harry so unlikely to be his.

It's funny because I didn't know Denmark had a queen until our queen died and I read an article about an invitation then some titles being withdrawn. Why does everyone assume an American would know who the grandson of the British queen was?

Give over 🙄

The British Royals are a global brand. The Princess Diana funeral was the most watched ever broadcast worldwide, over 2 billion people. The royal weddings are watched by billions. You can't be seriously making the comparison to the Danish Royals😂

Of course MM knew who he was, he was the most eligible bachelor in the world. The fact that she denies knowing anything about the Royals makes me believe she head hunted him. Because it's just not believable.

Aspiringmatriarch · 17/12/2022 14:01

Except she didn't say she didn't know who she was. So there's that. She probably knew about as much as the average American about the royals - well, an average educated and well-travelled American.

Aspiringmatriarch · 17/12/2022 14:01

Sorry- who he was.

The poster wasnt talking about Diana. She said that Meghan wouldn't know who the queens grandsons were.
But we know she knew who they were because she had a book about Diana on her coffee table.
(Not saying that that she had plans to marry them etc. Just that she,was clearly interested in Diana and her family.)

HRTQueen · 17/12/2022 14:47

What I have seen I like her I think she is an interesting intelligent women

and I do believe her

I wouldn't have expected her to know the inner workings of the Royals but she certainly knew Harry would give her a platform for her work. She has said previously she barely knew who Princess Diana was (BS).

This is not saying I like or dislike her. I believe they are telling the truth about the Royals but I don't believe EVERY word she says. Some of it appears disingenuous.

There is definitely an air of self importance around her, she definitely believes her own hype but I could say that about lots of celebs. The treatment she got from the British press was disgusting. The gutter press and those who buy their shite should be ashamed.

User135644 · 17/12/2022 15:42

Mischance · 16/12/2022 09:51

The venom that is heaped on this woman because of what the gutter press say is very concerning. Firstly because some sections of the public are prepared to condemn a woman who has committed no crime, and who they do not know - that is chilling,; and secondly because it is a stark demonstration of the power of the press to influence opinion and to decide what people should think - this has huge political implications.

There needs to be education in schools about how the media manipulate people's thoughts and opinions and the need to seek facts.

It cannot be right that the media fly drones and helicopters over someone's home to catch a glimpse of them in the garden and film them - on what planet is that in the public interest?

Press freedom is precious - but with that freedom comes responsibility.

Meghan is just this year's Jeremy Corbyn. The press are always out to destroy someone to protect the establishment and Meghan is deemed a threat.

Exactly, and it's not a 'just be yourself' type of job, same as 'the character of 'Boris Johnson' was all an act.

Have you seen this poison from Jeremy Clarkson published in the Sun? What a creepy old man

And Kate has been complicit in this shit forever. THe pick-me girl stuff is obvious. See also: Kate telling Beatrice there was a fancy dress party when it wasn't fancy dress so she turned up in a costume, wearing a pale lemon that photographed as white or cream to Meghan's wedding, that Vogue article that slaughtered her and her mother, etc. Extremely telling that Kate has zero female friends and any that are mentioned are actually "friends of the couple". If William ever divorces her she better hold on tight. She could have made it easy by befriending Meghan but instead relished the comparisons of St Kate versus the evil Meghan, and no, she has no sense of justice - she is in it to the bitter end of getting the crown as she has no other personality, likes or interests. Her mother is to blame up to a point but as an adult Kate has done the most to be praised whilst doing fuck-all actual work. Shitty Meghan stories were easy wins for Kate.

she has no sense of justice

People seem to develop a sense of justice through experience of injustice (either their own or others). There’s no evidence that Kate has experience of injustice. And therefore it is likely she has no sense of justice.

“she has no other personality, likes or interests”

I’m don’t think that’s fair. Kate is sporty, musical and likes fashion. And seems like a loving mother too.

But that’s describing most peoples’ interests and qualities. So it doesn’t make her stand out as being unique enough to be the only claimant for the crown of Queen consort.

“she is in it to the bitter end of getting the crown”

The crown may well end up being a bitter experience. The crown is a symbol of justice and that’s a heavy crown to wear even for people who do have a strong sense of justice.
