Last thread has filled up so I thought I'd create another to chat trailers and teasers while we hang about waiting for better more truth bombs to drop in the main event.

(I mean Haay doing the job better than William)

@ArcaneWireless

The thing said above ‘doing the job W was born to do?’ - was that actually said?

Yes - direct quote from Harry - episode 4

But hasn’t Harry said a few times in the past that he was glad he wasn’t destined for the top job? I wonder what or who changed his mind 🤔

Lockupyourbiscuits · 15/12/2022 10:16

It’s like watching a car crash
literally boasting he could do a better job than his brother
this is making my toes curl
He has less self awareness than Alan Partridge and David Brent at a Christmas party

i think Meghan is an intelligent person whether you like her or not and I for one cannot believe how she hasn’t got the ick from watching this herself - he is a complete man child

Ohnonevermind · 15/12/2022 10:16

Why don’t you watch them and come back then rousette

queenofarles · 15/12/2022 10:16

This is like best PR campaign William & Catherine could ever get . paid by Netflix 😂

Janieread · 15/12/2022 10:17

Agree!

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 15/12/2022 10:17

I've seen the back of Archie running in the distance, and him and Lili as a tiny little newborn, is that what you mean

I don't know. I mean the ones on episodes 4-6.

WinnieTheW0rm · 15/12/2022 10:17

And altering the late Queen’s speech? Why do that? Who is going to want them in their inner circle if nothing is sacred and words can be twisted or omitted to change the meaning?

It appears that no-one senior in the family was willing to meet Harry alone, because they could no longer rely on how any conversations might be later portrayed. So yes, if that's true, they probably do feel that the Family Firm is being distant and offish with them. But don't have the insight to see that it's self-influcted.

Also, I think that Harry must be describing two or three separate meetings, as I simply don't believe anyone would 'shout and scream' in front on Her Late Majesty.
And am I the only one who is a bit sceptical of the accusations that it's Charles who told lies? I was left wondering because we know that H&M's 'truth' actually means their story, which may contain inaccuracies. So I don't buy this without specifics.

bakalava · 15/12/2022 10:17

As expected, the so-called "lie" was a nothingburger.I don't think there was ever any possibility of Kate and William being outshone by Haitch and Meghan. She was a new member of the family and there was naturally interest in her and a warm welcome.
However, she came in with a big chip on her shoulder : will they judge me for being an old, mixed race divorcee? Even if they never, she spent her time looking for evidence to confirm her own bias rather than getting into the swing of things. She had prejudices about royalty and the wealthy lifestyle because it made her question her self-promoted awesome power and threw up an inferiority complex.

Nobody would have cared if she had gone back to America alone but she knew the value of taking with her the person they did love and value and want to keep in the UK. Haitch is basically a human bargaining chip.

WeWereInParis · 15/12/2022 10:18

@Roussette there are more pictures of Archie in episode 4. Not loads, but a fair few. I'm not sure it's something worth criticising them on either way, but there are pictures.

Roussette · 15/12/2022 10:18

Sorry I won't click on DMail. When someone said they were disappointed they were showing off their children, I thought that meant proper full on face footage. So that we would recognise the kids if we saw them. We wouldn't

A scan pic is nothing!

Really. I think it’s very bad for William.

OliviaBean · 15/12/2022 10:19

Interesting how a photographer was there to capture the most important moments in their family. Seems so authentic. 🤔

I applauded them for respecting their children's privacy, I guess that privacy was on hold until the price was right.

ArcaneWireless · 15/12/2022 10:20

rinoachicken

Thank you.

Given the criticism they’ve had in the press over the years, I’ve no doubt they wished to redress the balance.

They have deeply misjudged it to me and it has swung so far the other way they will be lucky to keep the support they once had.

I just don’t think they will achieve the happiness they should have if they continue to be so bitter. Because that is how they are coming across to me.

It rots people.

Ohnonevermind · 15/12/2022 10:20

@Roussette

Again, why don’t you watch the episodes and come back then

Is H referring to Meghan? Or himself?

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 15/12/2022 10:20

Actually I have new respect for William if he actually stood up to Harry (can't imagine him actually screaming but who knows?).

whynotwhatknot · 15/12/2022 10:20

he shouted at me waa

how immature does he sound

bakalava · 15/12/2022 10:20

I don't think there is that interest in Archie and Lili that she hoped for through withholding information and pictures. They are regular kids and nobody really cares to see or hear more now that she put up that barrier in her war against everything and everyone who didn't suck up.

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 15/12/2022 10:21

She was a new member of the family and there was naturally interest in her and a warm welcome.

Yes, if the Royal Family was a novel, she'd be just the character that needed writing in.

They really are a self-satisfied couple. I wonder how they're taking the reception to the documentary? Or is it going down better in the US with its Downton-esque music and glossy magazine style?

ExhaustedFlamingo · 15/12/2022 10:21

There are full on face photos. The scan is extra. Take a look at the BBC feed - they’re on there. I think the point is that a scan is very personal so surprising to see it included.

I don’t have particularly strong feelings either ways about their children being shown but it does seem to fly in the face of everything they’ve done to keep them out of the media?

Janieread · 15/12/2022 10:21

TeamHerbivore · 15/12/2022 10:18

Really. I think it’s very bad for William.

Not sure why. It makes Harry look like a whining, bitter, spoilt little boy.

ThePoshUns · 15/12/2022 10:21

@Roussette
Good enough for you?

Harry, Meghan and Netflix too
Roussette · 15/12/2022 10:22
