Last thread has filled up so I thought I'd create another to chat trailers and teasers while we hang about waiting for better more truth bombs to drop in the main event.

I can only think that she said that she wasn't aware thisi would happen in order to try to get the public to view her in a different way.

perhaps she didn't think that her wedding to PH would attract the same level of cross and viewing public, as PW is a direct heir to the throe and Harry isn't

JemimaTiggywinkles · 15/12/2022 18:13

If Jason Knauf did approach William for permission, all he would have needed to say was that the Duchess of Sussex was misleading he court and was it okay for him to go and ensure the true facts were before the Judge. I’m not sure William can be criticised for giving him permission to tell the truth.

This is what I think. I’m just a random non-entity, but if someone asked me if they could / should give evidence I’d say “absolutely yes, you tell the truth and let the court decide”. If I were a future King I’d say the same but far more stridently! Can you imagine the furore that would occur if it came out later that William had refused permission, or even just discouraged Knauf?!

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 15/12/2022 18:18

I think the thing I dislike about them is how up their own arse they both are. I don’t know anyone else who could repeat the airplane bloke story and the Beyoncé story with a straight face. Even if they’re true (which I doubt it)

I find that she really reminds me of my American friend and Canadian auntie. I've just not been able to articulate it. I think it's cultural difference of course, just an acceptance of self-confidence (self-promotion?) and 'over-the-topness' that can feel schmaltzy or inauthentic to many Brits.

MarshaMelrose · 15/12/2022 18:21

And also, it gives you a renewed appreciation for how Colleen Rooney handled Wagatha Christie, doesn't it!? She made specific, clear accusations, good enough to stand up in a court of law. But was also willing to stand down the fight pre-court in favour of settling. She behaved with far more intelligence.

Yeah, I dont know. She accused Vardy of leaking stories and then tried to backtrack in court and say it was just her account she was accusing. So I would say weasly rather than specific and clear words. Her lawyers were intelligent. Her not so much.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 15/12/2022 18:26

Her voice doesn’t waver, she doesn’t pause…. So odd when the statement suggests their truth may not be the truth. I don’t understand why they don’t see that for the bombshell it is. Is that whole scene staged? Had they read the statement before? When I first heard that statement I raised an eyebrow at ‘recollections may vary’. Didn’t everyone?

I think it was completely set up. I mean why was it being filmed? Why did William text just at the right moment? I think either M and H or NF think we're thick.

As an interesting aside, here's a juicy tale about a former resident of the cottage, the nanny to QEII and Princess Margaret when they were children. Another person who tried to cash in and found out the hard way how unforgiving the RF can be:

bakalava · 15/12/2022 18:31

I am not the best person to break it down but the filmed sequence definitely isn't presented in the chronological order implied. It can see it from her facial fillers - you get a scene where they are newly done to bursting followed by a scene straight after when she is due again etc. where it is implied that there is only a day between the two pieces of footage. It is funny when you see it. I am sure some youtuber will pick up on it.

Watching the documentary and then reading some of the post on here sounds exactly like what I had always thought. That something was off a lot of the posts. I also didn't know it was different from the 88 accounts mentioned in episode five—the unwavering hate.

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 15/12/2022 18:32

I'm nearly at the end of episode 6!
Meghan is reading out her speech from her wedding. Apparently brides don't give speeches in England. It's all about a love story between a boy and a girl. My eyes are still rolled to the back of my head.

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 15/12/2022 18:35

Well, I'm glad and relieved that they've got that all off their chest. I hope they've made lots of money from it and I hope that they can just move on with the rest of their lives focused on something more positive.

boredOf · 15/12/2022 18:37

I'm overseas, refuse to watch it. And I'm a huge royal fan, even had a party the night h and m got married. So disappointing.
No one here or at work are talking about it

It would seem so,their have been rumours for some time.I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it is true.

superdupernova · 15/12/2022 18:50

Yep. She left deal or no deal because she's a feminist and didn't want to be sexualised.

For those too scared to click on a link. She's trying to be sexy while grilling burgers 🤷🏻‍♀️
Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 15/12/2022 18:50

What is that symbol and what does it mean?

I don't think those real people who are not bots mentioned would only exist on Twitter if they are that well orchestrated. I have been on some threads and it has felt off, and I have said it before. It just means I was not going crazy.

People only seem keen to talk about the rumours about Meghan. They get very upset when you mention the rumours surrounding Williams affairs or his love of being fucked up the arse by a ‘friend’ of his.

"As far as people were concerned we were living in a palace. [But] we were living in a cottage," Harry said. "On palace grounds," the duke added before Meghan said: " Kensington Palace sounds very regal of course, it does say palace in the name. But Nottingham Cottage was small." Harry commented: "The whole thing was really small on a slight lean with low ceilings," before he jokingly added: "Whoever lived their before must have been small." Meghan, meanwhile, revealed that her husband hit his head constantly "because he's so tall". She adds: "It was a chapter in our lives where I don't think anyone could believe what it was actually like behind-the-scenes." Harry then reveals that chat show legend Oprah came over for tea and was stunned by where they were living. "No one would ever believe it," she reportedly told the pair.

I actually think they've lost the plot. Who can come up with a defence for this? If I were OW (and Beyonce actually) I'd be so pissed off with this.

This.

They obviously knew who lived there before as it was W&K (and Prince George). Totally ridiculous for H&M to claim they didn’t know who lived there before H did.

Ohnonevermind · 15/12/2022 18:54

@Sweetpeasaremadeforbees

that emoji looks like a yacht,

Yachting is a term for Z-C list celebrities who need money to supplement their incomes and in order to keep up appearances.

They will go on a yacht typically owned by a millionaire/billionaire and do what said millionaire/billionaire wants. Mostly sexual wants.

Celebrity will also most likely be caught by the paparazzi on the yacht and people will think that the celeb has paid etc

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 15/12/2022 18:57

Thank you (though it looks nothing like a yacht to me). I don't like the rumours about any of them.

fairydustt · 15/12/2022 19:11

Considering Meghan is a big feminist.. Harry's answer to what were you thinking when she walked down the aisle was 'look at me, look what I got' .... big yikes!!

LaMarschallin · 15/12/2022 19:12

Meghan, meanwhile, revealed that her husband hit his head constantly

And this is why it's important that footballers stop heading the ball.

CoffeeBoy · 15/12/2022 19:12

Why does he say he thinks his mum was going to end up living in America/California? Is that just him grasping at straws trying to connect with his mum because I never saw any indication that she was going to end up in America?

SeasideStitcher · 15/12/2022 19:12

What I find the saddest thing about all this is the effect on the children. Harry's talked about how hard it was for him at school when his parents were giving the TV interviews etc. But what about Archie and Lilibet when they're older. What if Archie comes back from school saying a kid in his class told him mummy wanted to kill herself when he was in her tummy and his dad was too embarrassed to get help for her. How on earth is a child going to deal with that and yet it's all out there in the public domain now. It means H and M will probably have to tell Archie and Lilibet things at a younger age than maybe they would have wanted to.

And what about George, Charlotte and Louis who are already school age - none of this is their fault - but again W and C will have to prepare them in case schoolfriends talk about their dad shouting at their uncle and their grandpa lying and worse stuff.

It's sad that H doesn't see that instead of stopping the cycle of genetic pain he could be making it worse.
