It's landed - 3 episodes with what I assume is 3 next week.

Beees - yes they have opened the personal photo album / it's like years of personal stuff in one episode - I really don't think I'm wrong that they would have given less of this personal stuff away by being working royals and does seem at odds with their earlier position of keeping it all private

But then they had this in the works very early on I'd say - not surprised if as early as 2019

It was obvious that the kids would get an airing if the price was right...
Marketing them. Not keeping them private!

JemimaPyjamas · 08/12/2022 11:33

I've just had a look at the BBC feed on this, and it's not making them look very good at all!

Blip · 08/12/2022 11:35

I've got through one and a bit episodes, tbh it's so dull I can't watch the rest.
I'm sure any interesting bits will be highlighted elsewhere.

clyspa · 08/12/2022 11:36

I don't know

I have no reason to doubt them but it's all so styled - their personal photos but it feels for the camera - for insta

It certainly appears that they are only off limits until the right price has been paid. I'm actually very disappointed they have chosen to use them in this way it was one of the things I actually respected about them, their supposed desire to keep the kids out of the limelight and not have their images used.

What does he mean by this, referring to his engagement?

""I couldn't do it outside of the UK. I did buy a bottle of champagne while she was roasting a chicken, which slightly gave the game away," he says."

Didn't William propose to Kate when they were in Kenya? More false victim narrative?

clyspa · 08/12/2022 11:38

He's saying Meghan is similar to his mum

Hang on, so the implication being that the UK is a racist country? So now they're gunning not just for the RF but everyone.
So, I take it the US is a bastion of great race relations? Yeah right!

You have to understand, as a race based society EVERYTHING in America is about race....“the first black Vice President”, the “first black mayor of Kansas” etc etc, these are major stories there. They are obsessed with race. In contrast, Rishi Sunak being the “first Asian British PM” barely got a mention in the U.K.

Growing up in that race based environment Americans see everything through the lens of race, and they carry that everywhere. It’s a cultural clash.

clyspa · 08/12/2022 11:42

I mean they are filing content for this I understand but it's all pics of hand holding etc and now she's showing the baby the pic of Diana that's hanging on the wall (not sure of which room maybe nursery)

I can't find fault with that of course as I'd do the same but given the narrative it's staged of course to pull on heart strings and a choice to include it

Sure I'll get slated as it's someone's mum who died etc but I guess I'm just observing

Why is that a surprise? They are part of the IG generation and she created a successful business from writing a blog. Millions of other people their ages document their lives visually and online and do it in a way that appears slick and overtly styled, why should they be any different?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 08/12/2022 11:43

I’ve just read that they dressed in penguin onesies at their engagement party because 'penguins mate for life’

So do vultures Wink

Really, though, I'm just placemarking for when I've watched it later - except it'll probably be onto the next thread by then

You're making it sound like they are teenagers when they are middle aged!

ArcaneWireless · 08/12/2022 11:44

I’m not one for Insta or even photos come to that. I hate being snapped. Always have since I was old enough to object.

The styling is amazing.

But will not beat my favourite (only one I can look at) photo of me.

I caught mam trying to take a sneaky photo of me and the result is the bastard child of Les Dawson’s Ada and Dame Edna doing the squinty mouth thing at Madge.

Even moody black and white isn’t quite making it ‘a memory’…

oakleaffy · 08/12/2022 11:44

ArcaneWireless · 08/12/2022 11:31

He's saying it wasn't fair

No. It probably wasn’t. But he was happy enough to sook up the nice bits. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I read the quote and imagine him going all Violet Elizabeth on my arse.

'S'not fair!!' Stamps foot, jabs Polo pony in mouth so hard that the pony rears, spurs pony's sides til they bleed
S'not Fair!!
Harry is vastly privileged.
Many children are bereaved with none of the support and wealth behind them that Harry has had.
He IS spoiled.
He and Meghan are 'Professional victims', flogging every perceived slight to anyone who will pay enough money.

And you're making them sound ancient! She's 41 and he's 38, that's hardly old! Is anyone over 40 not allowed to post nice pix of themselves and their lives on IG?

clyspa · 08/12/2022 11:46

We are now at Diana's death / footage of her bros. Statement about the paps

They always were. Plenty spotted it, but it was aggressively refuted across SM, especially here on MN. And lack of critical conversation around race and people being too scared to push back on that for fear of being labelled racist themselves meant it just stood. I said from the beginning they were calling the country as a whole racist. Look at the constant divisive threads on here, trying to make us all believe the UK is a viciously racist country, in order to implement US created, CRT based definitions around race. At least they're confirming it now. Can't watch as her vocal fry is unbearable so thanks for the thread.

See my comment above, they are obsessed with race in America. They bring that obsession everywhere.

As a race based country (and one founded by racists) they are in the belly of the beast.

It is deliberate. Youth sells on and off social media. Most people of their age don't do it either - ten years younger plus usually and even then, the superficial ones who also repost the same memes as them. I don't. I know a few people of Instagram of the same age deliberately doing it to make money.

Sharing footage of their kids because NF paid is also proving that they were not protecting their kids from the media as their fans claim. they were waiting for the right price.

Neither of them has Instagram.

I'm talking about you saying they "are part of the IG generation." They're really not. They are biologically old enough to be parents of someone in "the IG generation". Mind you, they do act like teenagers so it's an easy mistake to make!

Yes they do. They both have private accounts. The doc makes that clear.

I disagree they're not part of the generation.

Maireas · 08/12/2022 11:51

@ArcaneWireless 😂😂. I'm sure you looked lovely!
I just don't know why they didn't take up QE2's offer of a low key wedding, living somewhere privately, her carrying on with her career.

I really don't see what their appeal to young people is.

Most young people, especially in America, don't care about the royal family, and that's their only source of relevance. Even that is going to rapidly decline since they're not going to be seen at royal events in the future.

Agree with your comment about the kids.

Janieread · 08/12/2022 11:51

What a boring pair. Their life looks lovely and very privileged so why can't they just enjoy what they have?

Pidgeonslipshit · 08/12/2022 11:53

TheGlassSlipper · 08/12/2022 08:38

Thank you, I can't make myself watch it as I find the pair nauseating but won't mind reading about it.

Same!

clyspa · 08/12/2022 11:55

Him and William had two hats - grieving sons, rf members with no emotion get out and shake hands

Footage of them looking at the flowers - saying thanks to people etc

He says U.K. swept them up as their children but expectation to be out and about hard for them

Nicky (no surname) childhood friend of Harry's talking about how watching the funeral - he met Harry at 13 at Eton. Saying they didn't have skills for checking mental health

He's saying despite agreement with media it was a scrum of photographers and Harry saying now all the stuff that happens to Diana happened to them
