They always were. Plenty spotted it, but it was aggressively refuted across SM, especially here on MN. And lack of critical conversation around race and people being too scared to push back on that for fear of being labelled racist themselves meant it just stood. I said from the beginning they were calling the country as a whole racist. Look at the constant divisive threads on here, trying to make us all believe the UK is a viciously racist country, in order to implement US created, CRT based definitions around race. I'm possibly going to regret admitting this, but when M first came on the scene I didn't even realise she was mixed race. She also seemed really nice!

Now it feels like, at least from the bits I have read, that she is now prizing the issue of racism into every possible thing. I have no doubt that racism does exist in the UK and, of course, that is awful but I think (and I can't be the only one) her behaviour and subsequently Harry's is more why people started to dislike them. Nothing to do with her skintone!

I think it’s inevitable really, they have a lot of hours to fill and even if there are shock revelations to come they will only take a few seconds to reveal.

Odd, because she also wrote a whole piece for Elle in the US in 2015 before she even met Harry about the racism she’d experienced, including in particular when her character on Suits was revealed in Season 2 to have a father who was black.
