It's a cliche but the more a couple show how in love / suited / devoted / happy and so on they are, the less they are in real life. I've seen it a lot!

They can speak their truth (a phrase that annoys me because I want to hear the truth - not sweeping generalisations or one side of a story) all they please.

Bit sometimes, as sadly both William and Harry found out, having your folks spill their truth can be so damaging going forward.

It may be cathartic for those spilling their guts. But it can be a wearisome load for kids.

Wouldn't it have been refreshing if they had admitted they had met on instagram in the beginning? I mean they are quite bubblegum, ancient teenagers so it makes sense.
It is a nice, dramatic relationship story (and harmless) but so are millions of others - does it deserve so much money and airtime? I wonder if it is true that there isn't much left to say so we will get six episodes of dull stuff?

You feel sorry for them? I’ll try and muster up a bit of sympathy for two very rich, very privileged, very spoilt, very entitled, very self centred people but … I just can’t. There are many people who have lived terrible childhoods who would put these two mediocre, non-talented grifters to shame. Being seems as a victim would make me cringe, not glow with pride.

I really don’t think he is intelligent enough to realise this or he still believes he is royal and therefore superior to everyone else.

I didn't either and I have mixed race daughters ! my oldest now has chemically straightened her hair and is really careful in the sun, and she looks more hispanic. Youngest LOVES her curly, frizzy hair and says she will never straighten it.

@adriftabroad that's bonkers. I think constantly using racism as an excuse also cheapens it for those who genuinely suffer from racist abuse.

Although there have also been those (when commenting on H&M) who have criticised a comment or action and have them been labelled racist for their opinion.

It isn’t always about race.
