It's landed - 3 episodes with what I assume is 3 next week.

Shortly after he's telling polo player nacho that he thinks he's met the one

So William is not wrong that he's going a mile a minute

People do so not saying it's wrong but so far I can see why William would have been concerned

I would have been concerned if it was my family member and told them to slow down. I completely agree with William doing that.

clyspa · 08/12/2022 09:55

Now voice overs of friends: she was giddy, living in the moment, apparent very fast it was something etc

I have skimmed through all three episodes. The bit that stood out for me was the footage of the Brexit vote which obviously demonstrated that Britain is racist 🙄
Illustrated with footage of an angry pro-Brexit demo… with several POC prominently demonstrating?!

Mumsnut · 08/12/2022 09:55

Nah, I buy the love story.

Butitsnotfunnyisititsserious · 08/12/2022 09:56

There's going to be so many people pulling apart their statements. It'll be like Oprah again 😂 Give them a few years and they'll come out explaining the confusion.

clyspa · 08/12/2022 09:58

Ok - now friend (US) saying 'she wanted to get to know him not who the public thought he was'

This is my first time being irritated

It's word salad - how does she know who the public think he is? How can you get to know someone other than by who they are?

I'm unclear on timeline but seems too soon for this navel grazing

I was really interested in this, and have taken a look. But honestly, I'm finding it's pretty boring, which I was not expecting. I'll probably have it on in the background later.

I totally sect it to be boring, just like the finding freedom book, which I bought discounted from Sainsbury's. It's dull! They're dull.

pizzaHeart · 08/12/2022 10:02

I'm possibly going to regret admitting this, but when M first came on the scene I didn't even realise she was mixed race.
neither did I!

clyspa · 08/12/2022 10:03

Now Harry talking about who men in the RF marry - 'there's a temptation to marry someone who fits the mould as opposed to someone you are destined to be with' ' difference between making decisions with head or heart'

Is this Charles and Diana or William and Kate He is referring to?

So what then about Chelsey? Was she the typical mould?

OP posts:
clyspa · 08/12/2022 10:04

Will he then blame his father for ending up with camilla?

only watched half an hour before leaving for work, but from little I watched it seems that Haz is a little bit afraid of her 😳

A little bit afraid?
I haven't seen the programme, but it's patently obvious that Harry is like the little dog expecting a harsh word or yank on his leash, or if he's lucky, a pat from his keeper.

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 08/12/2022 10:05

I'm possibly going to regret admitting this, but when M first came on the scene I didn't even realise she was mixed race.

Me neither. People don't guess my heritage either unless I tell them.

clyspa · 08/12/2022 10:06

He says Diana made all her decisions Ruth her heart and he is his mothers son so,,,,,,

Now footage outside the hospital / town crier announcing Harry's birth

clyspa · 08/12/2022 10:07

Interesting they have chosen news footage from America

Nor me!

JemimaPyjamas · 08/12/2022 10:09

@pizzaHeart and @Peasepuddingbloodycold I am relieved to hear that it isn't just me!

JemimaPyjamas · 08/12/2022 10:09

and @oakleaffy!

Itssooooocold · 08/12/2022 10:11

I didn't realise she was mixed race either, I thought Hispanic, very beautiful girl. Couldn't have been further from a racist thought.

35965a · 08/12/2022 10:12

So far it’s quite dull. “We are so so so so in love, our love story is the biggest love story ever” mixed with “the media and paparazzi are the worst” which we already know.

MistletoeandBaileys · 08/12/2022 10:13

Oh jeez this is infuriating!! When their marriage ends (because let’s face it that’s ending) will Harry stay in America? Or return to “racist” Britain?

Obviously racism is everywhere but to tar the entirety of the United Kingdom with the same brush is absolutely ridiculous.

He hasn’t just screwed over his family, he has screwed over his country. I thought Diana loved the monarchy and supported it? Even though her marriage was a shambles she still supported the monarchy?

clyspa · 08/12/2022 10:13

He's saying never one moment he realised his family was different / more of a gradual thing.

Pics and footage from his christening - at no point do they get lessons in being in the royal family

Now footage of them with their parents / William is 3

Diana talking about their different personalities - Harry is whiter and watches a different character

Mean of me but did think he's not very quiet anymore

she wanted to be single and live the single life and this gorgeous American was instantly smitten by the pale posh Brit from a totally different background. Am I the only one not buying the love story? Unless the love is about the love of power, money and opportunities.

Me neither. That's never rung true. She's absolutely stunning looking and I don't believe for one second she'd have given him a second glance if he wasn't a Prince. I'm not saying she came to London to specifically bag a member of the Royal Family, but once she got her chance, she ran with it. This pretence that she knew nothing about him beforehand is just that. Irl, if your mates set you up on a date with a balding bloke whose eyes are too close together, who comes across as slightly dim and didn't turn up for the date on time, you'd be making your excuses to leave not trying to arrange a second date.

I also find it odd that they're trying to lecture the country about racism when 'H' has referred to one of his colleagues as the P word and was photographed in Nazi uniform at a fancy dress party where the dress code was allegedly 'colonialism'. Has any of that been referred to yet as I can't bring myself to watch it?

clyspa · 08/12/2022 10:14

Quoted not whiter!

OP posts:
clyspa · 08/12/2022 10:14

Quieter
