..but absolutely will be here for the threads to work out what has been said 😆

I have zero interesting in watching, not even seen the trailer, but I do enjoy reading people discussing it.

Penguin Random House will not be best pleased at this 'documentary'.

Cost of living crisis aside, people tend to be broke in January. Who is going to shell out their hard earned for yet more whining from a man who is the very definition of unearned privilege?

Readinginthesun · 08/12/2022 09:53

Does anyone else feel sorry for William ? Diana was his mother too yet seems to have been claimed as only Harry ‘s . William specifically requested that the Bashir interview is never shown again yet here we are .

Readinginthesun · 08/12/2022 09:54

Also the suggestion that his father and brother married women to fit the mould but he married for love . Ouch .

He's a nasty little brat.

Let's hope he married for love and that his love is the real deal. Because he's sacrificed everything for it.

I read that some of the Palace staff are upset about Meghan being compared to Diana. They seem to have been genuinely fond of Diana and feel like it’s an affront to her memory. And yes it is weird how Harry seems
to think he is the sole keeper of his mother’s memory

warofthemonstertrucks · 08/12/2022 09:59

I wouldn't normally but I'm off sick with the flu and on day 6 and bored to tears so I might give it a go.

HeidiWhole · 08/12/2022 10:00

The only people I feel remotely sorry for in this whole grubby situation are H&Ms children. Not so much now but once grown this will be deeply damaging to them I'm sure. I thought H was trying not to repeat mistakes?
He has alienated his children from their entire family and washed every bit of dirty laundry in the most public way possible.

HoppingPavlova · 08/12/2022 10:02

Nope. It will be about ‘their truth’ aka complete fantasy. They seem to encourage distortionate thinking in each other, seems very sad.

I’m just surprised they/Netflix waited so long. I would have thought they would have tried to immediately ride the coattails of the Queen’s death. Gosh knows they had zero respect for the Queen and Philip going on Oprah while he was literally in his deathbed. But, it’s all about them.

I couldn't even watch the preview on TV this morning as his voice so annoys me

You have to say that in your head with a vocal uplift at the end for the full immersive experience, like a question?

I couldn't even watch the preview on TV this morning as his [start uplift] voice so annoys me?

Yes, that made me wince too.
Very unkind to William and Kate.

If I were Catherine’s parents I would be so angry .

AngeloMysterioso · 08/12/2022 10:18

Not watching the documentary, not reading articles about the documentary, same for the Oprah interview, same for the book. The most I do is read and occasionally comment on MN threads, otherwise I’m not giving those two the clicks/views. Nope nope nope.

Firkinhavinalaugh · 08/12/2022 10:22

I’ve watched 10 minutes as I know my kids will want to watch it and I want to pre/empt the questions.

Through her own words, Meghan pretty much orchestrated the relationship the minute she knew who he was! (That’s the impression I’ve got 🤣)

I remember his claim that his father and brother was trapped - and thought at the time 'you don't get to speak for them'. You felt trapped, you left, and had every right to and to say that's how you felt.

But whether they feel trapped or not, it's for them to say or not, as they choose. The same with their reasons for marrying the people they married - no-one else has any right to speak for them.

No, they left because they couldn’t get their own way ! Had the Queen agreed to their proposal, there would be no whinging, no NF, no Spotify ( no second series of the flop casts I read)

Youwhatnowffs · 08/12/2022 10:32

Not watching and don’t have Netflix. I try not to pay money unnecessarily to companies with f@ck all morals or ethics🤷🏼‍♀️

Well, that's how it seems to me as well!

But to give him the benefit of the doubt he has every right to say he feels/felt - he has no right to speak for anyone else.

CreepingCrone · 08/12/2022 10:35

Me, zero interest 👎

paintitallover · 08/12/2022 10:59

Me. I do think there has been racism and I agree the media hounded them, especially the daily fail. But the uk is in crisis, so the Netflix series seems self indulgent and tone deaf. Move on.

Readinginthesun · 08/12/2022 11:18

One of the few things I admired about H and M was keeping their DC out of the public eye . Clearly the lure of $$$ made them abandon that principle.

pollutemymind · 08/12/2022 12:04

I won't be watching it. I can't stand both of them and don't find them relatable unfortunately.

saffronrabbit · 08/12/2022 12:07

I won't be watching...I find them so jarring.

So much of what they say is lies so it's pointless taking any if it seriously - also I feel it'll be aimed at the American audience and getting them on board (hating on Britain and trying to cause a divide)

autienotnaughty · 08/12/2022 12:25

I'm not a fan of Meghan and Harry because they don't interested me but I genuinely don't get the hatred for them. They worked in the family business, didn't like it. Left the family business and got a new job. If any of my friends or family were unhappy I'd tell them to get a new job too.

autienotnaughty · 08/12/2022 12:26

RoseAndRose · 07/12/2022 11:50

Yes!

I'm in the middle of watching other things, so might watch it eventually, but not now.

I don't really watch the documentaries/interviews by the subjects themselves - and you probably pick up all the interesting stuff from the commentaries anyhow, or the most notorious bits that are broadcast as clips or quoted verbatim.

OTOH, I love The Windsors and I wish there could be a new series!

Loved the windsors I wondered if they would do it now Charles is king.
