Sounds a weird thing to say. But Meghan really has had the life of a lot of women's complete fantasies hasn't she ?

  • born in hot / glam country
  • parents win the lottery
  • received private education. Hobbies. Makes great connections ag school eg Katherine foster
  • financially supported into late 20s
  • enables her to have a fantasy actress career
  • can pay for cosmetic surgery eg nose, chin and hair treatments. Has amazing clothes
  • marries a prince
  • has 2 kids as an older mother without assistance
  • lives in a luxurious beautiful community

Never been unwell , never done a boring / basic job in her life, has no financial worries ever.

On paper it is so much better than my life !!

I've had to grind my way out of poor upbringing and get into higher pay brackets like most do!

There is nothing wrong with “pushing 50” anyway, misogynistic crap from that poster.

LooneyToon · 06/12/2022 04:03

Off topic - but Harry is clearly very depressed, I mean his body language. The guy needs help while Meghan seems to be flourishing. The USA doesn't suit him or his upbringing and he seems so reliant on Meghan now. He has royally effed up and he has no way out now but to continue the path now. I really feel for him. He was very vulnerable to a woman like Meghan

BalloonSlayer · 06/12/2022 07:03

Why I my frozen yogurt shop point "hilarious." It was a direct response to the statement in the OP that Meghan has "never had a basic/boring job in her life."

lightand · 06/12/2022 07:11

Fwiw, I think her problems may stem from her upbringing. Or her character.

Either way and for whatever reason, she doesnt seem to have moved forward. All very sad.

lightand · 06/12/2022 07:12

She drags down many around her.

I don’t understand how anyone can despise someone they’ve never met. Anyone would think she’s a mass murderer the way some of you lot go on.

I know, it’s actually mental how much people can hate her when they don’t even know her 😂

RaspberryBlu · 06/12/2022 07:48

She has insight into what Diana went through and has latched on to that for her own ends.

EspeciallyD · 06/12/2022 07:48

Either they want a quiet life and privacy or they don’t, I wish they’d just get on with it and stop washing their dirty laundry in public. It doesn’t seem to be making either of them any happier, I can only see it resulting in more pain for them.

This in spades. He seems utterly crestfallen like someone's turned off the lights in his eyes. Meghan is seemingly thriving.

superdupernova · 06/12/2022 08:10

Yeah she's pretty much lived my childhood fantasies. I wouldn't trade lives with her now though. They started living the lifestyle of billionaires without the bank balances to sustain it. Now all they have to offer anyone are their royal connections. As a couple, they're trapped. Though I think if they divorced she'd go on to do better financially than Harry would.

LeavesOnTrees · 06/12/2022 08:26

She does have to shag the repulsive Harry though

She chose to marry him !

There are millions of women and girls around the world trafficked and forced into the sex trade.
At best I'd say H&M need to gain some perspective on their lives.

Agree, it was a bizarre comment. Even if one of them hadn't worked a 'normal' job until that age.

Yep

There isn't - I speak as one "pushing 60" by that sort of definition.
It's quite the contrast with Meghan (older than Kate) frequently being described as a "young mother".

Coxspurplepippin · 06/12/2022 08:52

'pushing 50' Grin

She's looking well on it!

LaMarschallin · 06/12/2022 09:02

There's quite a bit of ageism on these threads.
My favourite was a post about a reporter (admittedly not a very nice person, apparently, but that's not the point) who shouldn't have been writing about H&M because she's in her early 60s, so a "pensioner" and it was questioned what she'd need to earn money for anyway at her age?!
I don't know - an Hermes blanket to put over her poor old knees instead of the threadbare tartan one?

SnoozyLucy7 · 06/12/2022 09:03

exhaustedManager · 06/12/2022 00:05

To be fair I thought it was more than £750k

No I'm no hater. I was just talking to my daughter and have a summary of meghan's lide and my 13yr old said something like wow lucky life.

Quite a few of the advantages she's had all together is far outside the norm? Most people are lucky to get 1-2 rounds eg stable family and nice looking not lots of things all next level

In the USA on all lottery wins you pay a hefty tax - something like 25% to the IRS and then extra state taxes on top of that, which would most probably fall into the highest tax bracket. So in actual fact you probably would get just around half of that win if not less.

I am no Royal Family fan, but the vitriol and negative obsession with this poor woman is mind blowing. It’s absolutely awful. People who have never met her talk about her with such hatred. It’s not on. She’s a human being. Normal people losing their minds, becoming hateful towards another human being they have never, ever met. It’s utterly shocking. She does not deserve this!!

Why can't you despise someone you never met?
I despise Adolf Hitler - and the man I read about in a local paper who tortured a litter of kittens.
Yes, I know M&H have done nothing like either of these. But I still stand by my right to love/hate who I wish.

BlueKaftan · 06/12/2022 09:06

These threads slagging her off should be banned. But since they’re not…..Y’all are Typical salty Brits crying salty tears because a black American woman actually made good.

chella2 · 06/12/2022 09:07

Her parents divorced and she had complex family relationships with half siblings etc.

Harry was sent off to boarding school young and also experienced his parents divorcing, followed by his mother dying , and a life of public scrutiny and humiliation.

I think it just goes to show that money and material things don't make you happy and are not the important things in life. They both seem very unhappy despite what may be seen as blessings, and they are now quite isolated.

I wouldn't want to live their lives.

Made good? What has she done? Acted - wow Confused Married a man that she wanted and then made fools of themselves? Yep sure she "made good"

His grandma just died and his family categorise him the same as his nonce uncle, of course he looked a bit unhappy in recent photos.

Seems perfectly cheery in his Spider-Man video or out and about with Meghan, though.

I have read some nasty things on here, but nobody winning in life's lottery would post something like this.

Not really, what has she done ?
She was welcomed at the beginning, watch their wedding footage if you've forgotten.
