Yes. I agree. That can get a bit rabid overheated.

Personally I appreciate any of them managing to shoot themselves in the foot and getting the public questioning the entire institution in the process. Not fussed which ones do it.

I agree. They had celebs so they would have an audience. Having the shortlisted finalists and winner made no difference to the TV programme, so they were not there.
If it had been a true environmental event with real standing they would have had people in the environmental field there. They would not have cared about celebs but would want to support good projects.
