Who will be watching it?

How do you know how they are portrayed? It hasn't been screened yet.

OP posts:

Or are you making assumptions based on the events they are portraying?

I enjoyed series one and two, much less series three and four. I didn’t even rewatch those series,

I think poor Peter is past his prime and having to resort to sensationalism now.

Well we've had a few series so we kind of know Morgan's anti rf agenda, plus snippets have been released as we discussed upthread about lies regarding abdication discussions and allegedly Prince Philips had an affair. Just grubby gossipy crap.

antelopevalley · 20/10/2022 11:34

So you are assuming how they will be portrayed?
Philips's portrayal so far has been sympathetic. Nothing about his ongoing racism for example.

This is a bit disingenuous. We already know that they have invented a conversation between Charles and John Major about the Queen abdicating, and the Queen blaming her own bad parenting for the state if her children’s marriages.

antelopevalley · 20/10/2022 11:57

Would you have preferred the true event of Charles the current King criticising in a TV interview the Queens parenting

OP posts:
Serenster · 20/10/2022 11:59

That’s not true either though, antlelopevalley. So no.

antelopevalley · 20/10/2022 12:02

I heard it. But the interview seems to have been taken off the internet. They rewrite history all the time.

Is This what you are talking about @antelopevalley It’s in a book, not a TV interview. And if you read the whole article, it says that KC has changed his views over time. So not quite what you said 🤷‍♀️

Judi Dench has condemned The Crown

antelopevalley · 20/10/2022 12:27

@smil No I am talking about the Dimbleby interview.
What book are you referring to?
He may well have changed his views, many of us do. He still publicly criticised the Queen's parenting.

OP posts:
antelopevalley · 20/10/2022 12:28

Judi Dench is friends with Charles and Camilla. So friend denounces TV series. So what?

If you click on the link I provided, it tells you which book. A book written by Dimbleby. In which Charles does indeed seem to criticise his parents. Given that there only seems to be one televised interview with Dimbleby, maybe you are misremembering?

smilesy · 20/10/2022 12:30

And my previous point was that I. The Crown, the Queen herself is shown rueing her parenting skills. That didn’t happen

Or … you’re just wrong on this point? More likely than an entire televised interview, and all references to it, have somehow been removed from the internet.

Are you claiming that an entire interview with the Prince of Wales has been 'disappeared'?

All traces of it scrubbed from the internet? No newspapers reports, no excerpts nothing? But you still remember it?

antelopevalley · 20/10/2022 13:15

I missed your link to this
www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1432032/prince-charles-news-childhood-school-queen-elizabeth-ii-prince-philip-royal-family

He did say it in the Dimbleby interview, but the link that talks about his interviews for the book are far more damning than what I was referring to.
You disagree that it was in the Dimbleby interview, but it is not on the net so neither of us can evidence who is right. But it is irrelevant as Charles did clearly criticise the Queen's mothering in public. Netflix having the Queen pondering if her mothering had led to so many divorces is made up, but is a much kinder interpretation than the truth.

Lots of excerpts and reports - no interview in full.
Just like the Queens State Funeral, an approved much reduced version put out rather than the real thing.

So where did you 'hear' it then?

It's hilarious how you claim to only 'look at the evidence' yet you repeatedly make claims which you then find impossible to back up.

IcedPurple · 20/10/2022 13:19

Lots of excerpts and reports - no interview in full.

Can you link to one of these excerpts? If there are 'lots' it should be easy.

antelopevalley · 20/10/2022 13:25

@IcedPurple I have posted these before. Are you doubting it happened?

Nobody doubts that the interview happened. However, that excerpt doesn't support your claim.

What people are questioning is your description of the "true event of Charles the current King criticising in a TV interview the Queens parenting".

You seem to be suggesting that you 'heard' him do so, but that the interview was been 'scrubbed'. Quite how long ago did you 'hear' Charles saying what you claimed he said above?

antelopevalley · 20/10/2022 13:40

@IcedPurple Of course the excerpt does not say that. I have repeatedly asked for links to the whole thing but no one has given me one. I cant find it.

But you're still sure you 'heard' what you claim to have heard?

When did you hear it? How long ago was it 'disappeared' from the interwebs?
