The last thread filled up during a particularly chatty morning.

I’ve already made MN aware about the strategy used amongst posters on this and related thread to get anyone with a view that does not support their own removed from the discussion. Anyone that expresses favourable opinions towards H&M or challenges criticism of the couple is either bullied off the thread or reported on frivolous grounds – this being another such example. I will happily discuss the matter again with MN if and when necessary.

I would just love to know what MNHQ, who obviously will have all the info of who is doing what behind the scenes think of this pile of utter nonsense.

LondonWolf · 01/10/2022 18:06

Also noting that it's you who is being repeatedly deleted @smileandjoy 🤷‍♀️

But still very true.

Jibbajabba1 · 01/10/2022 18:08

Some of the posters are clearing targeting and bullying others, just like their idol. I will continue to not engage with their derailment efforts.

LondonWolf · 01/10/2022 18:09

Well MNHQ will know and act accordingly I am certain Smile

jeffgoldblum · 01/10/2022 18:09

@Jibbajabba1 , good advice! , I will join you! 🤣

Ohnonevermind · 01/10/2022 18:10

So far we’ve had tales of bad or challenging behaviour by the royals , I wonder will the book contain chapters of good behaviour too ?

jeffgoldblum · 01/10/2022 18:16

@Readinginthesun , sorry back to the book 😊, @Ohnonevermind, possibly , it seems quite balanced from what I read! , also I found it quite interesting that Harry's behaviour predated Megan! , particularly interesting to see he was rude to mostly female staff , but friendlier with male? , just what we've seen in the excerpt or will this be a theme?

Jibbajabba1 · 01/10/2022 18:16

@MrsTumblebee
That video - cringe! Also deciding she’d ok being called a diva if it was in reference to her clothes and how she looks and presents herself. Because that’s what feminism advocates, a woman confirming to the male gaze 👀 Definitely not the type of ‘feminist’ role model I want for my children. Has lost all credibility on the subject.

Klayda · 01/10/2022 18:17

This nonsense happens every single time on one of these threads.

This thread did well to get as far as it did before the inevitable mud slinging began.

I am interested in reading about the royals while having no particular favourites so I’m not coming at this from a biased perspective. But I have to say that it seems to be the pro H & M supporters who constantly derail, and who seem incapable of having a rational conversation.

There are conversations to be had - most of the royals at one time or another haven’t behaved impeccably - and most posters recognise that. Apart, that is, from the H & M supporters who won’t hear a word of criticism, who won’t temper opinions, who won’t concede any wrongdoing on the part of H & M - and who thereby do themselves, nor their idols, any favours.

It’s hugely frustrating and puerile. There! Said my piece now I’ll go back to (trying to) read the thread!

Agree. I suspect MNHQ see this too. It's glaring tbh,

Ohnonevermind · 01/10/2022 18:23

There have been a useful variety of books, and Harry’s to come. It will be interesting to look at he overall picture.

smileandjoy · 01/10/2022 18:24

Well as long as this is an open forum people that hold objective views on H&M are still free to contribute. I for one will continue.

@jeffgoldblum
sorry to hear about your experience - no one deserves to have religious quotes thrown at them.
Good point that it seems, so far, most of the victims of bullying were women. And that apparently Harry is friendlier with the male staff. Very enlightening.
Also I am not a William fan, at all. So I grudgingly have to admit, I did have to change my opinion about him a little bit when I read he sought out one of the victims and gave them a little support. Racism and bullying in the workplace, can be soul destroyingly lonely - so that was kind of him.
it’s also interesting he seems to have the right idea in creating a pleasant working environment, with an emphasis on a work/life balance. It’s good to see he doesn’t just spout about mental health, for pr points. He seems to actually follow through.

I’m looking forward to reading more about Andrew. I wasn’t at all surprised by that article. Friend has met KC & Andrew. Nothing but good to say about KC. I can’t repeat what he said about Andrew as it was said to me privately. But it wasn’t complimentary.

My book downloads this week but I won’t be reading it for a bit as currently reading the one on Duke of Windsor. Another ostensibly popular royal until he married.

Ohnonevermind · 01/10/2022 18:30

@Jibbajabba1

That’s a good point about PW.

I genuinely hope you do. Maybe try and rein it in a little though. They might suspend you if you get many more deletions Smile

jeffgoldblum · 01/10/2022 18:33

@Jibbajabba1 , very interesting post! , to be honest, originally I gave very little thought to the royals one way or another, too busy getting on with life, but now it seems to be ramping up and rammed down are throats , I didn't watch the wedding or really notice any shenanigans until this all kicked off! , I quite like William ( in a detached way!) , but really quite like Charles and cammilla now , it's all a bit like a soap opera really!

Don't worry I am currently challenging the deletions - and will do so each time they occur if I deem them to be unjust.

I think being friendlier with male staff is probably down to going to an all boys school then having a career in the army where there are way more men than women. I doubt he’s a woman hater. I suspect he’s just more used to a male environment. He also grew up without his mum from a young age and that’s probably hindered his relationships with women also n

Jibbajabba1 · 01/10/2022 18:39

@MissMarpleRocks
Oooh I’d love to hear what was said about Andrew, can prob imagine! From the extracts, he sounds like such an entitled brat! His mother choosing to believe an aide over him - says it all.
Charles does seem to have that human touch. I’m looking forward to reading more about him in the book. I find it interesting how he was sort of ridiculed for having fringe interests, which have now become more acceptable mainstream.

jeffgoldblum · 01/10/2022 18:40

@MrsTumblebee
I wasn't inferring he was a woman hater , just curious wether it was a theme or just unfortunate excerpts? , although good point about the all boys school! 🤔 , my opinion is if it's a real theme then it really is just the hallmark of a bully, picking on someone perceived as weaker or less able to stand up for themselves!
I've seen both men and women target like this ?
However could also just be a coincidence!

jeffgoldblum · 01/10/2022 18:43

I believe Andrew is a confirmed bully ? As well as being arrogant, will be interesting to see more on this theme about them all!
