The last thread filled up during a particularly chatty morning.

I'm not sure what all this has to do with the book.

jeffgoldblum · 01/10/2022 14:44

For ease I have screenshot! The appropriate section!

Very little.

I did try earlier, but ploppers want to plop and derailers wil derail!

HannaHanna · 01/10/2022 14:46

I’m not personally trying to derail. But conversations will evolve.

Yep, typical though.

notanotheroneagain · 01/10/2022 14:47

Yes they do. We all know that - so we don’t access it, read it or distribute it. Everything they say about RF or other Celebs is dismissed by most - but you are happy to reference these disrespectful and disreputable sources and distribute their lies when they are distorted to fit your agenda.

It is clearly not dismissed by most, since most on here say things like 'her actions' when they have only seen her a few times, promoting charities. Yet have a view of her personality - it's clearly based on what they read from the rags.

Oh I agree, it just seems one poster wants to derail constantly.

jeffgoldblum · 01/10/2022 14:47

@HannaHanna , wasn't referring to you , we can see the two who keep twirling the pot!

CauliflowerCheese30 · 01/10/2022 14:49

I wonder how much has not been put in the book, about all of The Royals, it's not OK for anyone to bully anyone, that includes Andrew, Meghan, Harry and anyone else.

jeffgoldblum · 01/10/2022 14:51

I think I will take inspiration from another thread !
And ask what Margot would do?
Definitely feel she would class the times as a newspaper and the others as filthy rags!

SilverLiningPlaybook · 01/10/2022 14:51

DuchessOfPort · 01/10/2022 09:44

Meghan would be a great public speaker if what she said was well written. But it’s mostly nonsense.

And her describing Harry’s reaction to the Roe v Wade ruling as “guttural” was a good demonstration of her not having a clue what she’s going on about. Across the world, people who can read, furrowed their brows as they hoped she meant a mix of gutted and visceral.

She also doesn't seem to understand the meaning of the word archetype.

Readinginthesun · 01/10/2022 14:55

notanotheroneagain · 01/10/2022 14:43

And have you read the statement itself? I linked it

Yes I have but you said that no one defended MM . William did .
OK ? Or was it not the right type of statement ?

No, it's really not difficult to word things in a clear manner.

And it's not difficult to read links and screenshots.

notanotheroneagain · 01/10/2022 14:58

I'm not talking about the links
Read your post, it was not clear.
You said MMs lawyers printed 15 pages of lies -
They didn't print 15 pages of lies about her. They printed supposed lies others said about her.

Readinginthesun · 01/10/2022 15:03

Agreed . Have you read William’s statement and the screenshots ?

Goodness me, where is this statement from William, other than an article that somehow shoehorns him on Harry statement.

Please do link this other statement from William. My understanding is that they are referring to the statement that clearly is headed 'from harry's communication secretary' and goes on to quote harry throughout.

It's not like the open letter from the MPs and lawyers, is it. Please attach that statement, I seem to have missed it, and you are not attaching it, just a sycophantic article about William supporting Harry. No statement. I did however, clearly hear him criticise racism against footballers.

Ohnonevermind · 01/10/2022 15:16

@notanotheroneagain

the bits with quotation marks are what you’re looking for

GlorianaCervixia · 01/10/2022 15:18

I think I read the book is about other royals as well. The excerpt published about Andrew was illuminating. I’m wondering if there’ll be something about Charles? I could see some interesting stories from courtiers about how he works or how Camilla’s public role has slowly expanded.

smileandjoy · 01/10/2022 15:19

jeffgoldblum · 01/10/2022 14:47

@HannaHanna , wasn't referring to you , we can see the two who keep twirling the pot!

In other words, anyone who mounts any type of defence of Meghan and Harry. But feel free to ‘derail’ if you wish to promulgate anti-H&M sentiment.

BlueRidge · 01/10/2022 15:25

"Yet have a view of her personality - it's clearly based on what they read from the rags."

I base my opinion of Meghan (and Harry) entirely on what I see and hear coming from their own mouths in interviews/podcasts, e.g. the Tom Bradby interview (how on EARTH did she think THAT was a good idea), Oprah (least said about that the better), her recent podcasts and the word salad speeches she makes.
Oh, and as for the cringe-making, supposedly "hilarious" Ellen skit!!!

I take newspaper opinion with a very large pinch of salt, unless it is robustly backed up by impeccable sourcing.

notanotheroneagain · 01/10/2022 15:25

I was looking for a proper statement like the one issued by Harry, or the open letter from MPs and Women Lawyers. Just as William was vocal and straightforward about footballers.

Everyone is quoting the torygraph, was the statement only given to them?

Well never mind, as no one paid any attention to it, as it obviously did not have any impact at all. A proper statement would have had some impact I think.

Ohnonevermind · 01/10/2022 15:25

For some reason I had a reread of the cut article, it’s gets funnier each time I read it.

@Readinginthesun

it seems the statement isn’t enough for some posters , perhaps he should have added a guttural reaction for emphasis 🤣
