I understand what you are saying about this, but think you cannot expect everyone in these different roles to be treated exactly the same way. Or to act the same way. It swings both ways. Meghan is American. Let’s not expect her to behave like Lady Diana Spencer born and bred be wife of a King. Or Kate raised in England. We Americans are never going to be able to fully pull of the act and nor should we need to do so.
And if you recognize the differences and allow for them, you can see for example, that their children will be treated differently. Not by Granny at Christmas, but by the Crown.
The relationships are not equivalent: Harry had known Kate for more than a decade. William cannot know Meghan much at all, even now.
Nude photos and criticism/insults are not equivalent. I think all would raise hell if recent photos of her sunbathing nude were published. If someone says “PW is a big doody head” no one is going to react.
I do believe Meghan is sensitive (based on her reaction to Mariah Carey) and that the tabloid headlines hurt. I do think Harry wanted to kill them all and for William to make it stop. But I don’t think that you can go swinging at every rude headline. Nor that it’s been the palace’s habit to do so.
And yes, more has been published about MM. She gets clicks. You yourself have called Kate boring. MM puts herself in the light and is glamorous and interesting to people. They are not the same. She’s going to get more attention both good and bad.
