Anyone else think The Times should not be printing extracts from this new book about Royal Courtiers at this time? Incredibly stupid given that H&M are trying to mend fences? I feel really quite cross for everyone involved - William's efforts to build bridges etc, all going to be in vain now. Very naughty.

Now that HM is gone. Not going.

"I haven’t seen them “slag them off”."

WTH? Were you asleep throughout the OW car-crash interview?

SallyLockheart · 25/09/2022 17:27

IrisVersicolor · 25/09/2022 17:22

Well quite. M&H are simply trying to get their perspective out there, they’ve criticised the RF, I would say they brief against them. I haven’t seen them “slag them off”.

getting their perspective out there - isn't that what they have been doing since they left in 2020? And every time they tell their truth, it transpires that their truth isn't the whole truth.

BlueRidge · 25/09/2022 17:28

"it transpires that their truth isn't the whole truth."

..or anywhere close to it.

Ahhh I'm correct then. We're still talking about that. We haven't moved on in any way, shape or form.

BlueRidge · 25/09/2022 17:35

And why shouldn't we, @Roussette ? Surely you're not trying to police the thread?
But anyway, if you throw a bomb that big into the mix, then you can expect the repercussions to last for a long time.

Serenster · 25/09/2022 17:35

But that didn’t start until after the palace started briefing against them.

Actually the first I noticed was the account that clearly came from Meghan and appeared in a Toronto based gossip website, with whom she had a direct connection, that Kate had snubbed her by not giving her a lift to go shopping. That was just a few months after their relationship had been revealed.

Hopeandlove · 25/09/2022 17:37

I think he's completely obsessed with her and terrified she will leave him.

I’ve thought this from the start. He led her to believe that she would be rebooted princess of peoples hearts and loved and feted as she married Harry.
she’s a hard grafter and always worked / hence the we should be laid for this. She assumed probably that Harry owned castles and had billionaires under his own name - not that it was all state and then had to do anything that anyone above him didn’t want.
he was rude to AK and got slated for it.

I would not give his children titles - they don’t want to be royals it would be a huge PR disaster if he did

Yup. Shall we obsess over the interview some more?

Liila · 25/09/2022 17:38

'It seems like many are now going to follow the path H&M have laid out and start openly sharing their own “truth” now.'

Yes it'll be open season on lived experiences and own truths. Let's hope they can take it as they've dished it.

Not quite sure why a pp would dismiss OW as old news wasn't it just 1yr ago? We also had FF before that, the inappropriate comments on the African tour, the PA comments in podcasts and interviews like the Cut. How much evidence does one need?

That goes for both sides. Each side has their perspective. What is the whole truth?

No policing of the thread.

You said they were slagging off the RF. I asked is it still the OW interview we're talking about or something new?
You confirmed it was the OW interview still. Not sure how that's policing a thread?

I asked a question. You answered it.

Serenster · 25/09/2022 17:41

Seriously. It’s absolutely true.

SilverLiningPlaybook · 25/09/2022 17:41

I think Harry is going to destroy the RF.. He’s just growing grenades without bothering where they land.

BlueRidge · 25/09/2022 17:43

@IrisVersicolor "Yup. Shall we obsess over the interview some more?"

Because I know you would like us to STFU about it as it shows them both in such a poor light, but bad luck. It's out there, and the repercussions are still rippling.
No one is "obsessing" about it, either, so you can't close us down that way, either.

Liila · 25/09/2022 17:46

I'd be squirming a bit tbf if I'd been a fan for the last 4 yrs. It seems to be dawning on even the most avid supporters that actually it wasn't malicious media stories, the Sussexes have behaved badly at best and we'll see more and more evidence in coming weeks and months now the Queen isn't around to try and brush it under the carpet.

Yes. It was in LaineyGossip run by Elaine Lui.
Lainey worked with Jessica Mulroney (?)’s husband and socialised with Jessica,, and had met Meghan at least once through her. There’s a photo of them all at a dinner.

Lainey has always been pro Meghan.

As an aside: I had drinks with Lainey in London over 12 years ago.

Ah yes, it was an ad for Reitmans clothing store. She was reported by some who came into contact with her as "the meanest person they had ever met."

Why is everyone bringing up this creepy guy who goes around photographing 'old age porn'.

Seriously, I can see how MM wanted nothing to do with him.

It was fine. It’s only your opinion that it showed them “in such a bad light”. I held out against watching until the point at which everyone I knew was talking about it and I couldn’t contribute.

The MM obsessives generally sit on threads and paw over everything she has ever said and done so riffing on about 18 months old interview would be par for the course.

Serenster · 25/09/2022 17:55

The “shopping snub” story, for Irisversicolor, and anyone else who is interested…

Meghan’s closet Toronto friends Jessica and Ben Mulroney are very involved in the Toronto media scene. Ben presents a tv show with Elaine Lui, a Canadian tv personality and gossip columnist. Here they all are, Meghan included, out at a social event from when she was based in Toronto (Michael Buble is in the photo too, but apparently didn’t merit a label!).

The story about the refused lift shopping was first published on Elaine Lui’s website, “LaineyGossip”. I’ve linked to it below. It was presented on a blind (no names) basis, but it was obvious who it related to. It was then repeated by Omid Scobie in Finding Freedom as being about Meghan and Kate, in case anyone doubted it.

Now, you might ask, how on earth would a story about a discussion between two women in London end up being reported first on a Toronto-based gossip site? And the new girlfriend who feels “snubbed” is the one with the direct link to the website? Wow, what an enigma….

Are you really presenting an obscure blind gossip as coming from MM. Really ?

It did not even make it to the msm it was so invalid.
