I've been wondering about this all week.

What do people think? Would William want that ? Would Kate?

M was finished with Suits anyway by the point she met Harry.

No she was not. She resigned when things were so serious (clearly going into marriage) with Harry. shortly before the engagement. At some stage, when everyone at the Suits production knew about the relationship and how it was getting serious, the producers arranged security for her (which she has to fight hard for in this country where H was a soldier, protecting it and still works with vets etc.)

Harry was doing projects and appearances with W&K, under the KP banner.

Does anyone know where Archie and Lilibet are currently?

Guess that's the advantage of leaving the palace.
No 'royal source' to run to the tabloids and make a big stink about it. As that aspect does not fall under the palace. But, I bet they are on the lookout for any paperwork, or sightings and they will tell the rags asap.

The series was due to end at that point anyway. She was just finishing up I thought. They didn’t end it because of her marriage.

Arbesque · 18/09/2022 11:22

I think she only had a supporting role in Suits. She wouldn't have been essential to its continuing.

Confused I don't get it.

Housenoob · 18/09/2022 11:25

I'd rather he attempt to bring back Topshop tbh

LondonWolf · 18/09/2022 11:38

Just posted this on another thread but lots of rumours flying round today as to why they've parted ways with Sunshine Sachs - IF they have. Won't link as I never do unless 100% reliable. Does make me wonder though if the RF know through their own media contacts that everything isn't rosy for H&M so are trying to give them an escape route plus save their own skins from Harry and Meghan's Loose Lips.

I'm quite sure they had two more seasons after she left. There was also some kind of spin off or something or the other with some of the main cast in it.

MM was in the top 4 credits, as a love interest of one of the main characters.

Some of the lesser characters, have had their own series and feature a lot on popular US/Canadian series in general.

I thought she was sixth in the credits?

Arbesque · 18/09/2022 12:09

Apologies she was 6th on the call sheet.

I think Charles is in a difficult position now, he needs to capitalise on the current goodwill and I think he will erode that if he doesn't keep to his promise to have a more slimline monarchy. I think he will have to move swiftly on announcing that.

I don't think he will be in a position to make any allowances for Harry and Andrew going forward, it will backfire on the monarchy, however hopefully he can reconcile with Harry on a personal level.

I guess he will also be expected to make modifications to the Letters Patent in line with his promise for a slimmed down Monarchy, whether that will include or exclude his grandchildren by Harry is going to be a complicated decision for him, as general public opinion seems to be that Harry nor his kids should be part of the monarchy now, but doing that will make it unlikely that he and Harry can reconcile.

It really is a sad state of affairs for any family.

But as has been said so many times , why would they want titles for their DC ? It still won’t entitle them to the security they want so why lumber them ?

SirChenjins · 18/09/2022 12:26

Because some people believe titles (esp at that level) open doors

Meghan clearly stated that the Prince and Princess titles were the childrens birthright, so they want them to have the titles for sure, despite their disenchantment and animosity towards the Monarchy.

Snog · 18/09/2022 15:48

Birthright???
So Meghan desires unearned privilege for her children courtesy of an institution she deposed? Whilst living in America, land of the free?

Snog · 18/09/2022 15:49

Freudian error there - that was supposed to say despised not deposed

diddl · 18/09/2022 15:50

Do they not automatically become Prince & Princess now that they are GC of the monarch?

What about HRH-does that have to be given?

Hearthnhome · 18/09/2022 15:58

I will try and find it but I am sure I saw Harry’s children are now Prince and Princess but Charles isn’t giving the HRH.

But I didn’t read the full story. I assumed (maybe incorrectly) that there been an official announcement on it.

I, to, am baffled why either Harry or Megan would want the titles tbh.

themessygarden · 18/09/2022 16:02

It is likely that it is Harry who wants them to have their birthright titles, but Meghan is the one who brought it up in the Oprah interview.

diddl · 18/09/2022 16:04

What does HRH mean I wonder?

Does it mean that they are restricted as to the work they could do?

Although I'm guessing it wouldn't apply in USA!

I thought that was one of the reasons for going to USA (or away from UK)-the chance to grow up away from the Royal bubble & have the opportunities that non Royals (HRHs?) do?

Hearthnhome · 18/09/2022 16:07

So I have looked and found a story suggesting it was official , but I don’t think it is. Other news websites are speculating. But not presenting it as confirmed.

Then there’s some stupid stories about how Meghan and Harry are furious over the HRH bit. But that seems like gossip and shit stirring.

You think the press could refrain from trying to start more drama for the family this week.

Snog · 18/09/2022 16:07

Royal titles = $$$

Unlike many, I understood his speech as closing the door on them. They’ve chosen a life in America - don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

I thought that too. I thought it was cleverly done.

luckylavender · 18/09/2022 16:43

Hillcrest2022 · 18/09/2022 07:24

William and Kate have inherited the Duchy of Cirneall which I hear generates 1Billion a year. I appreciate it goes to tye Treasury.

Surely a big salary can be given to the Sussexes to avoid them needing to get income from Netflix, Spotify etc in return for their signature on NDAs. Why haven't they reached this agreement?

I don't like the Oprah interview and grubby tea-spilling interviews but that's their source of income. Equally, I don't like the media narrative that Meghan is the devil incarnate as that's pure bullying.

But why would they get a big salary without doing anything? That would annoy so many people.
