I've been wondering about this all week.

What do people think? Would William want that ? Would Kate?

I am a big fan of Kate, but that doesn't mean I don't like Meghan - I'm just...disappointed in how it's turned out I guess because I think she could have been a fantastic addition to the modern Monarchy. Hopefully she still can.

I do wish these threads wouldn't be so them and us. why can't people not hate M and just be somewhere in the middle.

for example saying the Mandela story is a bit exaggerated and silly for a grown up woman to say is not hate, nor is saying that perhaps Harry didn’t explain how the Royal Family works and that she went on the Oprah interview misinformed , yet anyone who says that is instantly branded racist.

Somebody who posted that they did not believe that MM has experienced racism would not have their post deleted.
So it's just nonsense to say that no such posts could be found due to deletions.

I criticised Sunshine Sachs on a recent thread and was asked by a prolific pro Meghan poster ‘did I know they were Jewish’, which seemed to be trying to shut down criticism using an inference of anti-semitsm.

If only it were like that. If posters said something like 'gosh, that was a bit silly, she'll get flack for that' or 'maybe that wasn't the best thing to say' or even 'what was she thinking?'
But no, the posts get increasingly nasty and vitriolic about her. It's never just said in passing, it's whole threads about it, with her being called a narcissist, evil, selfish, stupid, demanding, unpleasant, a traitor, a bitch, on and on and on.
And far worse than that. I report some of the very worst.

And as for what Harry is called... well... it's bad.

If only someone said quite reasonably 'perhaps he didn't explain enough how the RF works'...
No... he is called dim, thick, stupid, not the sharpest tool, the brightest bulb, a fucking leech, a clown, and so on.
The level of vitriol aimed at them stops decent discussion.

Calling two people those sort of names to me is hate.

I have not been around MN nor RF too long. RF maybe a year or less, and not all the time. A few months back I posted that calling someone racist was a horrible accusation if it was not true and was told I care more about protecting racists than racism.

One of the darlings jumped in to say “it’s just an opinion!” Calling me racist is just an opinion? This was someone I previously considered kind of balanced and polite.

I realized how absolutely toxic it is at that point. There is a long list of people I will not engage with on this board now.

1. if you don’t make sense more than you do, I’m ignoring your posts
2. if you refuse to acknowledge any evidence that is opposed to your conclusion 3)if you post constantly, daily about these people 4)If you use what aboutery or “look over there!” 5)If you seem more invested than a normal fan. Or possess facts that most of the public does not know.

ok, so mostly I don’t think I can post anything anymore and I just read. More than I should, though. I was weaning myself away when QE passed away.

OK Rousette so we both accept then that there is no way to substantiate your claim that some posters deny that MM has ever experienced any racism.

Part of the problem with Megan is that she's an actress. You never know if it's really her or if she's playing a role.

Oh, also if you lump everyone one either side in as one group, I won’t engage.

“Some people that don’t hate the RF are racists so if you don’t have the RF you are racist”

But what difference does that make? She’s not a potential friend, is she?

I am certainly not denying racism exists, but some posters are regurgitating and repeating racist slurs to 'prove' that MM is and has been subject to racism.

It is totally unnecessary and I really do question the real motivation behind it.

It appears you are the only one banging on about this. 5 years and 500 threads and I am not searching them.

As I said before and will say again... believe it or believe it not. I really don't care what you want to think or believe, because I know what I've read on here. And that's enough for me.

MM never compared herself to Mandela. If that person was in the UK, they probably would have said, we never had so many parties since the jubilee or K&W wedding. The person clearly made a comparison with what MM would have known - he could not say since Kaiser Chiefs or Orlando Pirates winning, whatever. She would not have know what he was talking about, so naturally he used the biggest well known name.

It seems people are angry at what he said, but somehow want to project this anger at MM. Nothing to get upset about as far as I can tell.

If you are upset about Mandela comparisons, maybe you would have written 4 threads about someone who actually did compare themselves to Mandela. And that is Piers Morgan. You can take out all your bile about self important, narcissist this and that.

We can see right through this disingenuous excuse.

No I don't think they will come back as a couple. If they split up in the future then I think Harry would come back.

Conveniently call it whataboutery instead of answering the question that if you care so much about Mandela, how come you were not outraged when Piers actually did what you accuse MM of.

No whataboutery. Why didn't you create and partake in thread after thread about someone who actually compared himself to Mandela, actually? Why this particular woman?

Yes @unname , I'm aware , unfortunately I'm not sure they realise how awful some posts come across to lurkers like I'm ushaly, it puts many people of joining in the discussion!
