I've been wondering about this all week.

What do people think? Would William want that ? Would Kate?

Freddie Windsor is at JPM , or is there another cousin Freddy ?

BadgerB · 20/09/2022 13:35

Whenever I see photos of him when he is not in Britain he looks so relaxed and happy.

I think that should be "whenever I see photos of him without Meghan etc etc"

BadgerB · 20/09/2022 13:39

Meghan was also advised that she would have to work another job too as not much money around.

As I remember it she was told that she could carry on her acting career if she wished, acting being often considered a vocation. There was no suggestion that the Royals needed the money.

I think Harry and Meghan should just stay as far away as possible from family that are shitty to them. Harry is close to some of his cousins, so see them and ignore the rest.

That would be a great outcome for all involved indeed. Off back to Montecito and get busy with more photoshoots in a posh chicken coop

the80sweregreat · 20/09/2022 13:44

It was hinted at during the Oprah Winfrey interview that Meghan was told she would have to find work of some kind as they were looking to slim the monarchy down and they would need to self fund themselves ( a bit , at least)
I'm sure there is a transcript of that interview online and this was said when Harry came on to speak with his wife. Acting was mentioned

SirChenjins · 20/09/2022 13:15

Why would she want to do that? She quite clearly stated it was her opinion, nothing more (and one that many of us agreed was plausible).

Perhaps instead one of you would like to offer an alternative opinion piece? Then after clearly indicating it was your opinion we could come on and post little laughter emojis and make comments about it being a work of fiction…which it might or might not be, who knows, because it was clearly presented as your opinion and nothing more.

Because I'm not actually in the mood for a pasting which is what would happen if I posted my view in as lengthy a post as that.

And I was taken to task yesterday (or day before) for having an opinion without a verified source for what I was saying.

They look very happy together.

Yes, it's JPM, not Goldman.

MM was right there at Invicticus and Polo matches.

But you’re happy to dish it out to someone who put their opinion on here.

Do you think they would put Meghan in an ASDA dress? The rest of the royals wear expensive clothes, it would have looked terrible if Meghan had been dressed in cheap clothes.

Catherine wore a dress from Reiss costing a couple of hundred for her engagement photos.
Pretty sure Meghan could have rustled up something nice for a fraction of the cost of her engagement dress .

Ohnonevermind · 20/09/2022 13:19

@notanotheroneagain

What an idyllic existence, hopefully one of them can fund him now 🤣🤣🤣

perhaps take a leaf from dear cousins Freddie’s book and get a proper job

No need.
With millions for Netflix, Spotify, book deals, BetterUp etc. Just recently it was announced that Ethics Investment has made billions, 3 times the profits since they joined.

I think they will be ok.

KM wears a lot of super expensive brands.

MM also mixes it up with high street.

I think the royals would have provided an income but not at the levels that Meghan thought they would. The money Charles would provide would just cover the sushine Sachs costs. Harry should have explained how he got handouts from dad and had an inheritance.

Harry was never going to get the 20+million per year that they need for the lifestyle. Did anyone read the expenditure in the Elton John court case. How much it costs to live this type of life, it’s why he’s still touring.

if Meghan wanted Hollywood a+list star money, she was going or have to earn it Hollywood a+list style and I think that’s what she was told

This is the crux of it. There are only very few industries where stratospheric incomes are possible - finance, showbiz, sport, business. Royalty is a strange category because of its links to taxpayer funding. I think she went for the wrong category. She would have been better off with any of the former.

StormzyinaTCup · 20/09/2022 14:16

And it must be Charles leaking it. Because this leak is designed to get people ranting about Meghan.

I think Charles has got better things to do right now than to leak something about these two.

I suspect this is damage limitation by the couple if previous speculation that they themselves have snubbed invitations from The Queen/KC is true. …..’I’ll issue an invite to Charles, he will likely turn it down and then I can let everyone know mention it to a close friend that Charles isn’t interested in mending relations as he snubbed my invite for a one on one chat.

I’ll wait and see if I have wandered up the completely wrong garden path.

Harry said he was told there was no money for her, she must act - nothing about vocation or anything else.

Ofcourse the palace has plenty of money. They are just having a go.

If this had come from Harry and Meghan it would have said Harry and Meghan requested a meeting with Charles.
It did not.

Dish it out?

I never resort to personal attacks on a poster, but that won't fit your narrative will it?

I was not rude about that long post about H&M. I just said I'd like to hear the opposite version and shock horror did a laughing face. If that's the worst that poster is subjected to from me and that is classed as 'dishing it out'... well.... maybe report to MN and get it deleted if that is so awful. Hmm

don't know why you are getting pasted about laughing at the post that was a work of fiction.
seems people who post long post full of made up stuff are allowed as thats just their opinion. yet no one can have a negative opinion on the made up bollocks........odd.

SirChenjins · 20/09/2022 14:35

Not at all @Samcro - nothing wrong with having an opinion, which is exactly what that poster stated clearly that she was sharing. What’s ‘odd’ is when other posters jump on it and make out it was some kind of factual statement. It might be bollocks, it might be true, the poster offered it as nothing more than an opinion.

If was via a PR company maybe but I don't think they have one of those at this moment do they?

You need to look back a day or so, when I quoted a post by someone saying that I think this is true.

And I was told that I shouldn't be reposting something that didn't have a verified source to back it up! Despite me saying, this is a forum with opinions and that was my opinion. Not good enough apparently.

well my opinion is its odd to post a load of made up stuff like that. just my opinion.

antelopevalley · 20/09/2022 14:42

@StormzyinaTCup My issue is not with them requesting a meeting. But reporting it as Meghan requesting a meeting is a slant designed to get the Meghan haters trolling.
It will have been both of them.

derxa · 20/09/2022 14:44

Lots of other supportive friends like David Foster ( a long time friend that Harry considered as his other father) Revolting man. Imagine reading that if you were Charles.
