Kate has been fabulous since the Queen's death, such poise & self awareness. I think Carole & Michael did a great job & don't get enough recognition.
I don't know the family personally nor have i met them but there has never been tell all stories about them or Kate & Pippa which says alot..

@moisttoilettissue

I think you will find it’s malicious gossip. If you do a search it has been discussed umpteen times.

GreenClock · 16/09/2022 18:44

No aristo with any sense would want to marry an heir to the throne. They already have plenty of privilege, status and wealth….but without the scrutiny, rules and responsibility. George will marry a compliant, socially-ambitious upper middle class woman too. Although perhaps by then it won’t matter so much, if you believe that there is a possibility that the Royals will be nonexistent as a concept or significantly pared-back by the time of William’s death. Who knows.

Good god. Really? Incredible.

puddingandsun · 16/09/2022 19:04

"The Middleton's did a great job raising our future queen!"

Erm, no. Queen-consort is just a dutiful companion and support to the head-of-state (King/ Queen).

Sadly, as good as she is (raised to be) she will never be head of state, and neither will be you, or your children, or your grandchildren...

I agree she might have been great if the real thing was an option for her.

roarfeckingroarr · 16/09/2022 19:51

Kate is wonderful, perfect in her role. Incredibly elegant and poised. A loving mother. Love her.

orangeisthenewpuce · 16/09/2022 19:57

I was thinking exactly the same today. She hasn't put a foot wrong ever.

TheVanguardSix · 16/09/2022 20:01

She’s brilliant. I agree with you 100%, OP.

I wouldn't want her life for me or my daughters, but she does the job extremely well. The royal family should be bowing at her and her family's feet, not the other way round.

A monkey could do her "job"! She gets told what to wear, the clothes are prepared for her, a car turns up to take her to wherever, she's given a speech to read, gets back in the car, back home to dinner made by a chef. What 'job"? Honestly I wish her well, but this is not a job by any stretch of the imagination.

Imagine having no worries , literally everything is done for you if you want it. Not having to lift a finger. At least princess Margaret was honest about her privileged life and enjoyed it to the max.

Bugeyedowl · 16/09/2022 20:08

And a fleet of nannies and staff to look after the kids.

I don't envy much about her life but I do envy that 🤣

DoIHaveTooo · 16/09/2022 20:23

Oh and her hair, it's lovely. but then mine would be if I had a live in hairdresser 🤷‍♀️

hewouldwouldnthe · 16/09/2022 20:27

Of course they have. She's a lovely person and just kind and considerate. She relates well to other people and she a william are great parents, with lovely children.

TheKingsInk · 16/09/2022 20:39

Kate is 40 or so
she’s a fully grown adult who has had Royal training, etiquette, speech courses and good knows what else and has been in with the Royals since she was maybe 20 - 20 years of training she should be getting it right.

I think she should tie her hair up at these formal occasions at least. It looks wrong to have your hair down.

No smoke without fire. Royal men think that it is normal for them to have affairs.

generalh · 16/09/2022 20:53

She is a great clothes horse.

The princess of Wales as she is now is an extremly lucky person in terms of material things
Born to wealthy parents, who afford to send her to expensive private schools, then kept her at university where she never had to find a job to boost the student loan like most students have to. (my granddaughter thought she could use her savings to be able to afford things after her rent and food came out of the loan, but found it impossible, she had to find a part time job as well as studying)
her parents were also able to keep her in first class accommodation where she could mix with other well off students and get to know Prince Willia
After she obtained her degree there was no hurry to get an occupation, as far as I know she only worked for a short time at a firm owned by friends of her parents and also took photos for her parents' website
All the while having as much free time as she wanted to have a relationship with Prince William until he proposed to her then had the lavish no expenses spared wedding.
No money worries in her entire life, her children's future assured, being able to look beautiful in expensive clothes.Who would not say No to all that?.
Her crowning moment to me was being able to walk down the steps of a hospital wearing very high heeled shoes, a designer dress, hair immaculate etc and carrying your new born baby just a few hours after giving birth. She did it because it was expected of her. As a veteran of two emergency caesarean sections, the first of which almost killed my first son and myself, that to me was impossible.
Yes I am very jealous of her, nasty bitch that I am!.

Why are these 'plopped' threads always written with the faux poor grammar and unnecessary apostrophes? Is it to make them seem like they come from a grateful and 'umble public?

(Excuse inevitable SPAG errors above. Tis the rules.)

nildesparandum · 16/09/2022 21:04

Please excuse the typos, I am old and tired now

Did William really cheat or is this just gossip?

It's just gossip. The original tweeter admitted they were just joking.

Anon778833 · 16/09/2022 21:11

William and Catherine look a lot less in love than Harry & Meghan. Which I suppose you might expect because they’ve been together longer. A lot of people commented on how Harry seemed to want to take care of Meghan and open the car door for her, whilst William just stalked off.

AllBlocChain · 16/09/2022 17:25

Apparently she is extremely boring. Beautiful and boring, the perfect wife for a positive by-line.

Did someone who's met her actually tell you this?

Theredjellybean · 16/09/2022 21:16

Good lord... This is an adult woman who has spent her whole adult life either waiting for her Prince or being smiling stepford wife to her Prince and if its not enough we are expected to think she is somehow amazing.. Now you want us to think her parents are too.

She is way too thin... And getting thinner.. Echos of princesses Diana.

AllBlocChain · 16/09/2022 21:18

Arbesque · 16/09/2022 21:12

Yes, someone who used to work in that circle so met her many times at events,

MikeWozniaksMohawk · 16/09/2022 21:21

I’ve not even managed to read the full first page of this thread but all it appears to be is a thinly veiled dig at Meghan
