Do Camilla and Charles live separately?

She was dropped off in Wiltshire. I was surprised they didn't stay together today.

I'm not hating btw just genuinely curious and I kind of admire her for creating her own space if
It's true.

ALSO, because it's driving me crazy, did Anne and Tim separate briefly back in the nougties?

I'm sure I remember it being announced on Sky, but it was never mentioned again and he seemed to continue accompanying her to Royal engagements.

My family used to own Rey Mill House.

Anyway, yes I remember it being announced that PA & TL were separating. And then he was still there.

How interesting, did your family sell it to Camilla?

Loving this thread. I've never really been interested in the royals but just started watching the crown and now fascinated...

He totally would have done that to the Queen.

He had numerous affairs including with Princess Alexandra - they went sailing together as they knew the Queen hated it.

Well, I have never seen the evidence for that, so it's just gossip.
As to him living with another woman in some property somewhere, I think it's a work of fiction. Nasty, pot stirring fiction.

I imagine there might be a few changes now HMQ and PP are dead.

Anne will get her divorce.
Peter Phillips will finalise his and remarry. Maybe even have more DC's.
Fergie and Andy will remarry (and hopefully disappear).
Williams affairs will become less discreet.

EdieLedwell · 15/09/2022 19:34

Aha! I bet that is what I'm remembering and I wonder did Sky news just run with it?

Sorry to be rude, but you're talking crap!

Camilla often looks petrified. There's a video on her bookclub site where she introduces it and she looks like a rabbit in the headlights, she is just fiddling with her hands. She relaxes when she gets to talk about bookshops.

SilverLiningPlaybook · 15/09/2022 19:35

What ‘affairs’?

dianthus101 · 15/09/2022 19:36

She has the house in Wiltshire from since before she was married into the Royal family, I think. She goes there sometimes for some peace and quiet. I think I would do that if I had a spare house too.

When was this separation announced?
I never heard of it.

Prince Philip definitely spent alot of time at Sandringham.
I remember speaking to a guy I once served with, he had been an army bomb disposal driver for a little while. One time he was at Sandringham, probably doing security duties and Prince Philip came along in his car/ Land Rover.
He told him to get out his way, in very colourful language ! It’s no secret that Philip could be very direct !

Cara87 · 15/09/2022 19:37

Who is Peter Phillips married to again?

Also - Viscount Severn. What’s his real name..?

I would imagine most of them do. They're together and supportive and seem happy enough.

Same I'd say many of them seem happy.

From Charles and Camilla, William and Catherine, Harry and Meghan, Edward and Sophie, Anne and Tim, Eugenie and Jack, Beatrice and Eduardo, Zara and Mike.

Sure they all have different ways, such as seperate houses, or less/more public displays of affection and closeness but each couple seems to be doing just fine I'd say 🤷🏻‍♀️

Cara87 · 15/09/2022 19:27

If they weren’t together, separate lives etc why would be accompany her all week though?

Perhaps they still care enough to pull together at such a time?

Dave20 · 15/09/2022 19:39

Does Princess Anne have security? And her children? Zara’s married to Mike Tindall, I wondered if the family get security…must have been quite strange for Mike Tindall marrying into the Royal Family.
As far as I’m aware he was from a working class background..

Maireas · 15/09/2022 19:40

I agree with you, @CaptainBarbosa - they all seem perfectly happy and companionable.

He is just divorcing/divorced from Autumn Kelly.

Viscount Severn is James Alexander Philip Theo

I'm not sure I need a separate house to DH, assuming I'm royal and have a full time cleaner and housekeeper, I think this would sort out most arguments. We would have one of those massive hotel beds being royal and rich so don't even really need separate bedrooms. I think I would like my own dressing room and a library room maybe. We could have separate bathrooms

When I was a teenager I dreamed of living in a complex with my friends, each with our own flats but with a large shared living space in the middle. Perhaps me and DH could have a royal complex, my wing and his wing but we come together in the evenings.

Carrotzen · 15/09/2022 19:41

I thought I had read something about Ann and her husband living separate lived too, but it could just have been gossip. Evidence suggests they are together

Can I ask why you think the death of The Queen and Prince Philip means that Fergie and Andy will remarry and Williams affairs will become less discreet?

How do TQ and PPs deaths impact either of these things? I'm genuinely intrigued to know.

diddl · 15/09/2022 19:45

I enjoy my husband's company but wouldn't mind my own bedroom for when either of us are ill/snoring!

I would have thought that any of their places are big enough to lead seperate lives in if wanted!

Perhaps she likes to have her kids/Gc over at no notice though & no formalities at all.

Hbh17 · 15/09/2022 19:45

I think Anne & Tim look like a great, solid couple - he has been brilliant all week. It's really not necessary to cuddle & slobber all over each other in public, whether or not you're royal.

Mike Tindall is not working class
Michael James Tindall was born 18 October 1978 at Wharfedale Hospital in Otley, West Yorkshire, the son of Philip "Phil" Tindall, a banker for Barclays,[2] and Linda (née Shepherd), a social worker.[3] Tindall's maternal ancestors include bootmakers, stonemasons and weavers; his paternal great-grandfather, Arthur Sutcliffe Tindall, was a blacksmith, the grandson of William Tindall, a landowner farming 105 acres at Fairburn, North Yorkshire.[4][5][6]
Tindall was educated at the private school Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Wakefield, while his father captained Otley Rugby Union Football Club.[7][8]

I remember newspaper stories about 20 years ago that Anne and Tim were having difficulties. They didn't split though. And this was the height (or rather, the low) of newspapers literally making up stories so it could all have been false. Regardless, they are very clearly together now and have been married for 30 years. What marriage doesn't have rocky patches.

StrawberryPot · 15/09/2022 19:47

They don't look like a separated couple to me, sitting at home together watching the rugby.
