Do Camilla and Charles live separately?

She was dropped off in Wiltshire. I was surprised they didn't stay together today.

I'm not hating btw just genuinely curious and I kind of admire her for creating her own space if
It's true.

ALSO, because it's driving me crazy, did Anne and Tim separate briefly back in the nougties?

I'm sure I remember it being announced on Sky, but it was never mentioned again and he seemed to continue accompanying her to Royal engagements.

I’m sure there is a central wardrobe. With staff.

I was imagining a family WhatsApp group, exchanging details of outfits But, sadly, I think your explanation is more accurate.

Williams affairs?? I heard about it couple of years ago by friends but I couldn't believe it. Could you tell us more?

Why could Peter Phillips not finalise his divorce while the Queen was alive?

I can certainly imagine the women in the family borrowing stuff.

Gather together all the black hats and find her one that suits. Possibly less stressful than bringing a company in with black hats for her to buy one.

Kids clothes esp the classic stuff seems to get kept their are balcony photos of a very young George in an outfit Harry wore.

And Bea raided Grannies wardrobe for her wedding.

I didn't hear that about Lady Louise and the hat.

Where would a central clothing bank be and how would access be approved?

Also not affairs plural. One affair , and no evidence at all it ever happened apart from Giles Coren tweeting about it and then deleting it immediately.
Who knows what happened. The two of them could have been spending a lot of time together as friends and it was misinterpreted. Or Kate felt it was all becoming a bit uncomfortable. I think we have all seen this sort of thing happen with friends.

Not only did he delete it, he admitted it was a joke.

It’s all catalogued (a historian on MN explained how it’s done). They probably have it computerised and then debt for.

pawkins · 18/09/2022 10:17

Debt = sent

Being gay is not a slur. Pretty awful thing to say.

No but saying a married man with children is gay is a serious slur on his wife and kids.

No. This is a misinterpretation of what Giles Coren said. It also wasn't him who started the rumour.
The part he stated was a joke was "even us jews know", which was obviously in jest to begin with. He also didn't refute the story in his statement, but simply said he'd heard it over a "posh" dinner party and didn't have any true insider knowledge.

The rumour was circulating in the Norfolk aristocratic circle well before Giles Coren or the press got wind of it, and fits in perfectly with his claim that he heard it over a posh dinner party.

Exactly. He knew nothing more than the ordinary gossip that every member of the Royal family is subjected to, but his original tweet started the real damage.

Yes, exactly. But he didn't "admit it was a joke" as your post claimed.

He admitted he tweeted as a joke and didn't know anything. Anyhow what does it matter? The point is that the tweet that started off the general rumour mongering was not genuine but its repercussions continue.

I'll give you the short version.

People believe William has an affair with a woman called Rose.

But Pippa (Catherine's sister) named her daughter Rose....now I'm not sure any sister would name their daughter after their uncles mistress 🤦🏻‍♀️

So it's all just crap gossip.

Exactly, can you imagine the conversation. Hey sis, I know your husbands been shagging Rose whatshername and it’s all kicked off. Mind if I name my baby after his mistress?

Highly unlikely there is any substance to the rumour or I doubt Pippa would’ve done that.

ancientgran · 18/09/2022 11:51

Coronateachingagain · 17/09/2022 21:48

This.

I thought a restless Louis heading off to granddad and sitting happily with him looked like Charles can be arsed with GC.

stillavid · 18/09/2022 12:20

I am sure Pippa liked the name Rose but it was also a perfect rebuttal of the affair rumours as we all know how close the Middleton sisters are.

I definitely agree Charles has more time for the kids than is being made out. But it's maybe one of those times he wants time with them and time away from them to read work and pleasure, paint and garden.

I thought Charles bought Highgrove to be near Camilla, Camilla then bought her house when she divorced, I can understand why she wouldn't want to sell it.

But then I read Highgrove belongs to the Duchy of Cornwall and Charles will now need to pay rent for it to William.

So if someone can confirm/ fix my thoughts?

It so obviously was not a joke.
He was not the only one to say this. Just the most high profile.

Highgrove is owned by the Dutchy.

Why are you so intent on perpetuating rumours and spreading scandal about the Royal family?

Who knows - maybe it pays well?

Funny, @ajandjjmum Grin Naughty, but funny.

Camilla has said Charles is a fabulous grandfather. That he plays games with the grandchildren and gives them piggyback rides round the garden. He also reads them stories and when reading Harry Potter he does it with a different voice for each character.

But they have to live apart so that she can spend time with her own grandchildren without him playing his face up.

Who said that’s the reason they occasionally spend time living apart for a few days?

NanaNelly · 18/09/2022 17:01

Sorry, I can’t recall the name of the documentary where she says it. But I’m sure you’ll find it if you google it.

ajandjjmum · 18/09/2022 17:06

I think he is a good grandfather - probably a lot better now than when George was first born.

But he works very hard - often still at his desk at 12 midnight - and also gets touchy about sticky fingers on valuable items. So I suspect the reading and playing is on his own terms - which after all, is fair. They can probably have more fun together in Norfolk or Scotland, where there's lots of space and things to do. Whereas Camilla can let her DGC run riot at her own home, when neither she nor others mind.

Practical solution.
