She doesn’t seem to walk very steadily in heels; maybe he helps her balance by holding hands.

They weren’t doing anything on the Wednesday or they could have tagged on a couple of days after their final event ?

Last Wednesday Harry was flying up to Balmoral.
The Queen died before his final charity event.

elizaregina · 14/09/2022 17:34

But what was fhe protocol when Diana, striped of her HRH had died?
And a young boy was thrown to baying crowd's a boy born to provideus with an heir???

Put into second before he's even born. Even Diana said it's difficult for Harry this is before the hideous public divorce, the protocol of both parents doing very intimate interviews?
This is before the hideous death!

I mean???

He's only human.

The Queen died on Thursday . Harry ( and others ) flew up on Thursday afternoon.

I’m by no means a royalist - but the footage of William and Harry as kids walking behind their mother’s coffin makes me sob each time I see it.
No child should ever be subjected to that kind of media circus during the most vulnerable time in their life. And I can imagine doing it again at their grandmother’s funeral will just take them right back to that time. Doesn’t sit right with me at all.

It’s absolutely awful.

Sorry you are right. According to this they were in Dusseldorf on Tuesday and Wednesday and on Thursday would fly back to the UK. Thursday is when Harry travelled to Balmoral.

@PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog They were in Dusseldorf. Yes they could have flown back from Dusseldorf to Balmoral in the morning and travelled to London in the evening. But they could not stay with Charles. They had no time free to do that.
It was a last-minute invitation. Charles knows how these things are arranged to be full on, so I am not convinced it was a genuine invite. A genuine invite would have been - I can fly down to London and meet you for dinner? Or meet half way between Balmoral and London for dinner?

How come he didn't get there until late on Thursday then?

@antelopevalley If he'd wanted too it could have been managed.

How do you know it was a last minute invitation? I understood that it was an open invitation.

They could have managed to meet up for a dinner as I said. He could not stay with Charles in Balmoral unless you suggest commuting from Balmoral to London daily.

FayeGovan · 14/09/2022 17:58

I really dont understand the bile for meghan and harry on mn. Its as if some of you are personally insulted by even seeing them there. Its beyond ridiculous. Ive no time for the royals as i think they are a bunch of free loading parasites but i did feel sorry for harry doing that walk today as it must have brought losing his mum back. And William of course, though he just seems more stable than harry.

Do we know the reason why it is just Charles and her two grandsons ?

Why not her other children ?

It was all for children, oldest on the right to youngest on the left, then William, Harry, Peter Phillips... then another couple of rows of people. Bodyguards on both sides.

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 14/09/2022 18:01

@antelopevalley a short visit could have sorted somethings out before HMQ passed.

LizzieSiddal · 14/09/2022 18:01

There are photos of Zara and Mike holding hands in the Hall today. I wonder if Zara will receive the same scrutiny as Meghan has?

I do not think it is so easily sorted over a quick dinner.

Charles was undertaking engagements in Scotland.
