Remind me again who is the only member of the royal family who has been hauled over the coals for proven offensive racist language?

or do we sweep that under the carpet?

StartupRepair · 14/09/2022 23:10

Being in love is the main component of Harry and Meghan's 'brand'. I just see the hand holding as part of shoring that up.

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 14/09/2022 23:10

Apparently yes @StormzyinaTCup

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 14/09/2022 23:11

Dressed as a Nazi too and told Stephen Amos he didn't 'sound black'

Oh you mean Sentabale and Halo trust photocalls every couple of years when he needs 'little black kids' to get him good press?

If you don't follow Harry's work with these charities, just say that 😂he's deeply involved with Sentebale, donated 1.5 million and recently hosted the yearly polo tournament to raise money. they release a yearly annually, have a read if you want.

I will admit to having less knowledge about Halo but they always speak highly of his involvement.

There's no need to lie.

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 14/09/2022 23:12

Oh and lest we forget the 'rag head' comment

RandomPenguinHouse · 14/09/2022 23:12

Meanderings · 14/09/2022 22:58

oh they get super angry when they find out they belong to a deranged echo chamber 😅

“They?” Hmm I’ve made one comment, which included nothing about Harry & Meghan. You’re being ridiculous.

@elizaregina wooden spoon = stirring. You’re clearly stirring by asking goady Qs like whether Meghan will have “a shot” at Diana’s jewellery too. Stirring because (a) it’s a diversion from the topic of this thread and (b) if you were even slightly well-informed on Diana, Harry & Meghan you’ll know she left jewellery to both boys. Same for your other questions, either you’re really not informed enough to be defending any ‘side’, or you’re being disingenuous.

Hosting polo and getting his rich cronies to write cheques what a fucking trooper!

is it a part of zara and mike's brand?

FixItUpChappie · 14/09/2022 23:14

If I was Harry I would not give two shits and would hold my wife’s hand as ever I pleased (like normal folk) and possibly do it just to purposefully annoy the over-invested, pursed lipped, pearl clutching contingent.

TBF his granny was a kid and that was before people knew what it meant...

Mike and Zara are elite sports people and commentators. They don't need a 'brand'

StormzyinaTCup · 14/09/2022 23:17

I think you'll probably find PH he spent most of his formative years boarding at Eton and then straight into the Army, both bastions of multiculturalism 20 years ago (not). So that's where I'd put my money and not so much on granny or dad.

they're 'influencers' though, always hawking this or that on instagram. could have sworn mike did a domino's ad on his ig stories during the jubilee. no tears about them cashing in, funny that

If indeed Harry holds anything like that view, then he really is not fit to be royal and we can continue to feel relief that he went away.

Below the belt, QE2 was a child then and at the time people didn’t know what Hitler would become.

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 14/09/2022 23:19

Mike and Zara do not have titles and make their own money, that's Ok. Doing it by shitting all over your family and telling (proven) lies a la H&M is not.

i assume you're referring to oprah, h&m didn't get paid for that. the book is yet to come out, so tell me how they're getting paid for shitting all over the family.

I think two things should always be remembered about the flag thing when Diana died

Firstly the press were desperate- to turn the blame of the public away from themselves. In the first few days the focus was on the press and photographers hounding her to death.

Secondly that flags had never ever been flown at half mast on Buckingham Palace because only the royal standard had been flown.

The press stoked the flag to thing to divert attention from themselves imo.

Yes.
And the Queen was doing her best to try to protect her young grandsons at that time from the prying, manipulative media and the public.
The shock of losing their mother like that must have been terrible and the weeping, some rather mawkish, crowds just wanted a piece of them.

I’ve never heard that about the Queen, although that doesn’t mean it’s not true of course. You have a source?

colouringindoors · 14/09/2022 23:25

Totally agree OP. When I heard this I immediately thought how triggering it would be. And so unnecessary 😪

I still remember watching them walk behind Diana's coffin and thought it was a horrendous thing for two bereaved children to do.

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 14/09/2022 23:28

If you're referring to the gorilla comment in the documentary, where she compared the arms and body shape of a white ambassador to those of a gorilla? Walter Annenberg
