These people are apparently worried about what Harry will write in his memoir but we've somehow managed to get a play by play of what has gone on this week.

From blocking Meghan's visit to Balmoral to how the joint greeting of well wishers came about.

Please note that these writers are making it clear they are speaking to Palace sources.

Now when H&M start speaking (in defense of themselves), people will complain.

Prince William and Harry’s reconciliation is just for mourning, not for life

Bombshell text from William to Harry that sparked an unexpected show of family unity after the pair failed to meet at Balmoral in the hours after Queen's death, writes RICHARD KAY

Don’t worry Meghan will do a podcast about her truth. Probably recording it as I wrote this.

Frances0911 · 15/09/2022 04:36

She wasn't part of the Royal family for long enough to have formed a bond with the Queen, and sold out on her and the Royal family to make some easy money. Quite literally she is nothing more than a traitor who has some front to have shown her face there.

hamdden12 · 15/09/2022 04:58

I think they probably regret that Oprah interview, it did so much damage to their relationship with the rest of the family.

Having said that I do think Meghan has behaved over the past few days and she obviously recognises there's a time and a place for everything. I just hope she doesn't go running to Oprah or that journalist friend spilling secrets about what went on.

I believe they both have a chance to redeem themselves with the public here, the way they've behaved has certainly made them go up in my estimation. It can't have been easy to do that public walk around, especially for Meghan, but they did it and seemed genuine.

I don't like to see the two couples pitted against each other, they both have very different destinies and shouldn't be compared.

There was an incident where I worked once and it got into the papers. We were told not to speak to the press. Nobody did, so they just completely made stuff up. All about how everyone was feeling deeply distressed about it (total bollocks) and that we were having counselling to get over it (again, total bollocks). They said quite detailed things along the lines of ‘so and so was so upset by the incident that he felt unable to work and went to stay with his sister in Dorset’. In reality the person was at work, feeling irritated by the press but otherwise fine. He did have two sisters but neither of them lived in Dorset. One of them lived in Devon.

They are writing entertainment, not news. Some stories are based on a bit of reality but some are entirely fictional.

What shocks me is that there isn’t even a pretence of proper journalism anymore in rags like the DM. The online version is littered with misspellings, awful grammar and inaccuracies. Even a basic level of literacy doesn’t seem to be required anymore. Never mind critical thinking or actual intelligence. Where do they recruit their so called journalists these days I wonder?

How odd you would say this. She's done 2 or is it 3 well received podcasts and apart from a passing reference to marrying Harry and an incident in SA, none of it is about the RF. Are you saying that all the guests she has lined up are now not going to be in the podcast? The guest list is impressive, I doubt they'll be dumped.

Weird you would make stuff up like this, unless of course it's just a chance to bash her.

Midlifemusings · 15/09/2022 06:30

My family was involved in a court case that got a lot of public and press attention. Not only did the press make things up, they even reported wrong facts about the people, names, relationships and basics of the case. That information was all readily available and easy to confirm but they didn’t even use easily accessible sources to get the basic facts right. And these errors were in major papers. It completely changed my view of reading the news.

Words · 15/09/2022 06:37

@Midlifemusings - misreporting of court cases is a very serious matter. What kind of basic facts were incorrect?

Be very very wary of believing what you read in the Daily Mail. Or any of the tabloids really. The majority of it is bollocks.

Agreed. Also the Mirror and the Sun. Journalists from the tabloids have actually admitted making up stories, the EU being a prime example. Then people repeat the stories in the tabloids as facts and it goes on and on.

MushMonster · 15/09/2022 06:41

Well... all this speculation and palace sources and they do this and that.... every single move and detail of what they do! All day long!
It is just too much!
Can we please stop it and let them be?

BadgerB · 15/09/2022 06:45

The Royal men do not appear to like their wives to be more popular with the public than they are.

Well, that's one problem Harry won't have to face

BonesOfWhatYouBelieve · 14/09/2022 14:04

You've phrased this like a criticism (maybe I've misread the tone?) but do you mean the bit where an aide offered to take the flowers Meghan was holding and she said no because she'd promised to lay them. And then handed them a bit later to a different aide and asked her to lay them?

To me, that looked like someone who wasn't sure of the protocol (eg would she be criticised for just handing over flowers she had said she'd lay at the gates) but then when Harry gave some flowers to the aide, she realised that it was fine.

I’ve seen many people post that video and interaction as a criticism. This is one of the things that makes me think that people just don’t like Meghan and retrofit everything she does to make her a terrible person because I watched it and saw someone telling an aide that she would do it later and that she was alright. I couldn’t make out what was wrong about what she did. But then I read the commentary.

Now there’s an image! 😂

It appears you haven’t listened to her podcasts because as someone who has, this sentence does not make sense.

She, along with her husband, were invited.

More leaks designed to fuel hatred against H&M. I know they can't wait to go home.

Love Lady C, she's a bit bonkers but I think can be relied on for the truth

She also writes (I forget in which book) that the Queen and Princess M were born by A.I. because the Queen Mother hated sex. Are we supposed to believe that?

BarrelOfOtters · 15/09/2022 07:01

I just don’t get who is stoking all this up? And to what end…beyond to drive ad revenue. It’s completely bizarre.

This isn’t an inside scoop. No one needs to bother to leak a story. It is made up by the press because people like you read it.

By calling it a leak you’re implying it’s true.
I’m not sure it is.

Blueblell · 15/09/2022 07:05

More likely Charles asked Kate not to go to balmoral so that it wouldn’t look so bad when they banned Megan from going.

Why would anyone possibly care?

And why would someone who felt like that bother to read the thread, still less post on it

Not the case. Unless you are one of those who likes using words like 'Meghan banned'.

How do you know? Who are you to them?

I don't believe most of the shite I read about them, that goes double for anything in the Fail. Unfortunately very many people think that if they've read it in the papers it must be true.

Endoftether2000 · 15/09/2022 07:09

Meanderings How do you know they can't wait to go home? Are you part of their inner circle? 🤔
