The royal family

What now for M&H

I find the whole family and royal family (The Firm) aspect of Megxit very interesting.

Just wondering what now for M&H? Will they continue on with the strategy of talking and writing about the royal family or will things now change? I think the half in half out strategy on their terms would have worked for M&H but I think the RF were right to knock it on the head, it would never have worked for the RF, Harry was ready to go and Meghan was never going to just slot in with the system.

Just looking at Harry, I think the guy really needs the whole circus of fighting with the RF in public to stop, for his own mental health. He obviously has issues that he needs to come to terms with, he really needs to do this in private but this is at odds with how they need to make money now. I really fear for him the person.

If they keep going with the fighting then I think that's it for them and the RF. If they are to reconcile with the RF, how then do they make a living? I would imagine QE has left quite a provision for Harry in her will so perhaps the money making aspect will be less of a priority. I could see Charles being more open to a reconciliation but not sure about William.

Not trying to start a thread to bash anyone, just interested in other opinions.

Funerals are a time to put differences aside and I think they have all been amazing. I think it was the Duke of Kent? Who could barely walk out of the ceremony wanting to do his cousin proud.

Anyway we are all not lucky enough to be a sun lounger, I'm off to the ironing.....

It was the Duke of Kent. He’s getting very frail now.

wellhelloitsme · 14/09/2022 16:35

@TrashyPanda

she curtsied nicely

as do all the female members of the RF. why single Meghan out?

Because the thread is about her, I'd imagine?

People can't even say a positive thing about her now without being dismissed / accused of leaving people out 😂

waffless · 14/09/2022 16:35

They know their fans love this sort of thing. Apparently make them a more genuine refreshing couple and a breath of fresh air. This usually is followed by critics of W&K as boring and insincere. I find it very childish.

Sixsmith · 14/09/2022 16:36

Personally, I think the next step for Harry needs to be to get his head shaved. The fluff covering the bald patch is bad. Trim it off love, it'll look so much better

Why are people bothered that I called Meghan regal? I truly believe she is, surely we can all have different opinions.

I think thats the point. Yes we can all have differing opinions but when people give a differing opinion to you on this thread you respond with name calling and abuse! I may be wrong but from the words you use and the way you write I don't think you are British and that may account for the completely different Lens through which you view this!

wellhelloitsme · 14/09/2022 16:37

@Snog

I think Meghan is no respecter of the privacy of the RF so I don't think the reports of her wearing a mic when she is with the RF are far fetched. We are talking about someone who was not allowed to be unescorted in Kensington Palace after taking photos of the Cambridge childrens nursery.

Did you not have an official source for the nursery accusation in the end then? I did ask but maybe you missed it? Or just don't have one?

@wellhelloitsme

ive made the point that it’s a traumatic day so I’m not judging anyone above

But hugging at a match when your team score is completely different to Donald trump dragging Theresa may around by the hand at a g7 summit or holding hands at a jubilee mass.

i thought most people could appreciate the difference

bloodyplanes · 14/09/2022 16:39

@wellhelloitsme

As I said, it's bizarre to see adults behaving that way when they discuss strangers.

Yet you defend every blatant breach of protocol and act of bad behaviour by M&H? I think you are doing exactly what you accuse others of 🤷‍♀️

He's a handsome boy, no doubt. But I think he'd look better if he stopped fighting the inevitable.

I cannot stand the sight of Kate either but that's not her problem, is it.

LondonWolf · 14/09/2022 16:43

Harry looks calmer and more together than I have seen him in ages. Perhaps this forced interaction with his family within the background he has known all his life, may turn out to have some positive outcomes. Everyone seemed so entrenched in their "side" and now those barriers have had to be carefully dismantled to grieve HM.

Someone can’t even say something nice about Meghan without it being an issue.
Woman can’t catch a break

Maybe, just maybe, people are looking for integrity, stoicism, trustworthiness, and dignity as a basis on which to like someone, and not just pretty curtsies or nice tights. You have a long way to go to rehabilitate her.

I do appreciate the difference.

Which is why I said that posters who so intensely dislike H&M would say they behaved badly if they behaved the same way as W&K in the same settings.

I'm not comparing the setting of a team winning to a state event, I'm saying if a team won and H&M celebrated how W&K did, instead of seeing it for what it was for them (a joyful, lovely moment) the posters who dislike H&M so much would say that was also inappropriate / attention seeking / unbecoming / improper etc.

They can't win.

I don't even have that strong an opinion on them, I think that like everyone they've got good and bad in them. I wouldn't describe myself as a 'fan' of theirs, I would say I'm neutral.

I just don't understand the complete vitriol and the determination to not ever see them as anything other than villains, regardless of what they do or say, baffling.

Ohnonevermind · 14/09/2022 16:45

Will the Sussex’s head home to the US now and come back for the funeral ceremony ?

Guys I'm obsessed with this CURTSY, she did brilliantly 😌

I don't like Meghan, but I had to give this curtsy a double take. It is absolutely faultless. Beautifully done

Maybe that's why none of Charles pens work? H&M have turned them all into cameras.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

SueSaid · 14/09/2022 16:50

I wonder if it every crossed Harry's mind when breaching the privacy of others and gossiping to OW, when sending snippets to Scobie, when making his digs in the African interview, the Corden interview etc etc just tough it was going to be to come back on such a solemn occasion and be amongst all the people he's stabbed in the back. He is either supremely arrogant or not very bright. Not a man with any regard for his UK family at seems. Poor Charles.
