The royal family

What now for M&H

OliviaBean · 11/09/2022 15:45

I find the whole family and royal family (The Firm) aspect of Megxit very interesting.

Just wondering what now for M&H? Will they continue on with the strategy of talking and writing about the royal family or will things now change? I think the half in half out strategy on their terms would have worked for M&H but I think the RF were right to knock it on the head, it would never have worked for the RF, Harry was ready to go and Meghan was never going to just slot in with the system.

Just looking at Harry, I think the guy really needs the whole circus of fighting with the RF in public to stop, for his own mental health. He obviously has issues that he needs to come to terms with, he really needs to do this in private but this is at odds with how they need to make money now. I really fear for him the person.

If they keep going with the fighting then I think that's it for them and the RF. If they are to reconcile with the RF, how then do they make a living? I would imagine QE has left quite a provision for Harry in her will so perhaps the money making aspect will be less of a priority. I could see Charles being more open to a reconciliation but not sure about William.

Not trying to start a thread to bash anyone, just interested in other opinions.

Yes, seriously.

He's grieving for his grandmother and his partner chose to hold his hand and put her hand on his back to offer some support.

If W&K did that, I don't doubt it would be written about in the press as 'Kate offers William sweet gesture / hand of support as he views flowers laid for The Queen' and you would likely have seen it as that too.

You just see everything H&M do through a lens of so intensely disliking them. It's very strange as an adult to see other adults doing a picking of sides to the extent that every detail is picked up no matter how arbitrary.

If there were pictures of H&M doing the same as W&K in the pics attached, you'd say they were behaving badly no doubt.

Whereas if they were of any couple I would just think ah they look like a nice and happy pair. Rather then being aggravated by a stranger I don't know literally just holding the hand of their partner, another stranger I don't know. It's absolutely bizarre.

None of these were taken at a funeral , in fact one was taken on their way to their honeymoon!

Slightly off-topic, but Kate looks exhausted and has had a good cry judging by her eyes.

Drawn in the face too. I bet she is running on adrenaline. Trying to keep the kids settled, helping William and living up to the POW title.

bloodyplanes · 14/09/2022 16:21

@wellhelloitsme in none of those photos is W&K at a state occasion, you won't be able to find one of them behaving like this at a state occasion because they simply wouldn't do it. They know how to behave properly in a formal setting.

Lampzade · 14/09/2022 16:21

If they hadn’t held hands someone would probably have said that King Charles ordered them not to . They would have said that Harry and Meghan’s marriage is in trouble because they didn’t whole hands.
Some people will always find something negative to say about these two.

Today is "hand holding" criticism

I wonder what tomorrow's will be?
Maybe "she smiled funny" when shaking hands

She can't win can she?

On the funeral day, if she doesn't smile - Sour faced Meghan / Meghan making it all about her by looking so miserable / Meghan making no effort to be friendly / Meghan has such a face on she's attention seeking.

If she does smile even slightly - Meghan inappropriately grins at funeral / Carefree Meghan doesn't care about royal family / Meghan turning the funeral into a photo opportunity and attention seeking.

She literally can't win with people who have cast her in the role of baddie.

It's so strange watching adults speak about a stranger with such contempt and disdain. It goes beyond thinking someone is a bit of a dick. It's turned into vitriolic, nasty posting for months and years now. I hope the same posters feel more contempt for and disdain towards Andrew but I fear some don't, which is troubling.

Absolutely, they'd say H&M are about to get a divorce 😅

hold hands

Guys I'm obsessed with this CURTSY, she did brilliantly 😌

she curtsied nicely

as do all the female members of the RF. why single Meghan out?

they practice until they can do it without thinking.

it’s like genuflecting in church - it becomes second nature.

I found Princess Anne’s curtsys very moving, because of the mixture of love and deep grief, plus decorum and dignity. She is a wonderful woman and her late parents must be so proud of her.

They'll says she's acting. Apparently there's just something that's not sincere about her 😅

If I tell them what I think it is, they'll cry.

I agree

@wellhelloitsme

you may be trying to make a point but W&K are in informal occasions in the photos you’ve posted. They’re terrible examples. What next - they held hands at their engagement 🤣 they don’t hold hands at formal state occasions.

Because she's always singled out here. So I thought i'd point out the positive while people tear her apart.

Meanderings · 14/09/2022 16:13

I thought Meghan did extremely well today, very composed and regal. Love her.

i don’t think you know what regal means.
but here’s a clue - holding hands at a ceremonial event held in deep mourning is not regal.

SueSaid · 14/09/2022 16:26

What a beautiful procession, so moving.

How strong and gracious the rf must be to turn the other cheek with Harry for the sake of the Queen's procession and the funeral.

Can't wait for it to be over and for him to go back to the US no doubt to sell his tales.

reflexolog · 14/09/2022 16:27

Do you hysterically TabloidSpeak because you read too many of them?

Someone can’t even say something nice about Meghan without it being an issue.
Woman can’t catch a break

Ohnonevermind · 14/09/2022 16:29

@Meanderings

I think you’re confused. The amazing person there was in the coffin

TrashyPanda · 14/09/2022 16:30

I thought i'd point out the positive

okay, but it was nothing special. It’s part and parcel of being married to Harry. Something that should be second nature to her by now.

My point, as made clear in my post, was that if H&M did any of the things W&K did in those (IMO lovely) pictures, in the same setting W&K did them, they would still now be described as behaving badly / improperly / disrespectfully by posters on here who have quite simply made their minds up about them and are now projecting their dislike of them onto every scenario.

As I said, it's bizarre to see adults behaving that way when they discuss strangers.

Meanderings · 14/09/2022 16:33

Why are people bothered that I called Meghan regal? I truly believe she is, surely we can all have different opinions.

Lostinabba · 14/09/2022 16:33

Funerals are a time to put differences aside and I think they have all been amazing. I think it was the Duke of Kent? Who could barely walk out of the ceremony wanting to do his cousin proud.

Anyway we are all not lucky enough to be a sun lounger, I'm off to the ironing.....

skullbabe · 14/09/2022 16:33

Snog · 14/09/2022 15:09

I think Meghan is no respecter of the privacy of the RF so I don't think the reports of her wearing a mic when she is with the RF are far fetched. We are talking about someone who was not allowed to be unescorted in Kensington Palace after taking photos of the Cambridge childrens nursery.

Citation re: pictures of Kensington Palace nursery please.

Again - why would she be so in the open about it? Isn’t the point to be covert?
