What now for M&H

I find the whole family and royal family (The Firm) aspect of Megxit very interesting.

Just wondering what now for M&H? Will they continue on with the strategy of talking and writing about the royal family or will things now change? I think the half in half out strategy on their terms would have worked for M&H but I think the RF were right to knock it on the head, it would never have worked for the RF, Harry was ready to go and Meghan was never going to just slot in with the system.

Just looking at Harry, I think the guy really needs the whole circus of fighting with the RF in public to stop, for his own mental health. He obviously has issues that he needs to come to terms with, he really needs to do this in private but this is at odds with how they need to make money now. I really fear for him the person.

If they keep going with the fighting then I think that's it for them and the RF. If they are to reconcile with the RF, how then do they make a living? I would imagine QE has left quite a provision for Harry in her will so perhaps the money making aspect will be less of a priority. I could see Charles being more open to a reconciliation but not sure about William.

Not trying to start a thread to bash anyone, just interested in other opinions.

I’ve posted before about hand holding in a professional capacity (America presidents / prime ministers in particular at summits etc
but their mother /grandmothers funeral seems a personal matter to me so whatever gives comfort

Pengwinn · 14/09/2022 15:58

Every bit of criticism will have me side eyeing you as a racist.

Ahhh you had me until this bit.

Meanderings · 14/09/2022 15:58

Pengwinn · 14/09/2022 15:52

I actually don't mind her, but she did like she was more or less smirking, you'd think a talented actress would be able to look sorrowful for ten minutes or so.

You don't mind her, please, she doesn't know you exist 😂

So she was aCtInG only to end up smirking 😅

Only hatred causes delusion like this. Let me pray for your soul.

bloodyplanes · 14/09/2022 15:59

@Meanderings i have no doubt there have been some racist comments in the media and on social media, however that doesn't mean that no one is ever allowed to criticise Meghans behaviour and actions! Not every criticism is based on racism, in fact I would say the vast majority of it is based on M&H odious, hypocritical behaviour.

I don't care about "having you", I really don't.

I disagree that they've been odious hypocrites.

Blimey I would have a lot more respect for the hard-core M&H fans if they admitted the hand holding was not appropriate at this ceremony.

If she'd have stood there blowing raspberries they'd be making excuses.

No one longs for your respect or approval; least of all Meghan, I suspect. Perhaps if you had a partner who showed similar affection towards you, you would be less concerned by the expressions of love shown between two individuals you do not know.

Readinginthesun · 14/09/2022 16:01

Roussette · 14/09/2022 15:57

OK... give me some respect then if I explain what I feel. @Lostinabba

Personally I think that perhaps they should not have held hands. OK? But my reasons are convoluted....
Firstly... it would quite obviously open them up to being slated and yes, they could have left off doing that for this one time.
Secondly.... when you have been on these threads for years you (meaning me) actually think FFS what now, what has she done wrong. It's like the boy with his finger in the dam, the crying wolf... people talk like it is a crime of the century, when really it isn't...
Then there's probably 100 posts about it with posters getting more and more angry and nasty about her. Saying how awful she is for doing this, it goes to prove what a truly terrible human being she is.
Hand holding will join the list of the flowers yesterday, the unroyal crossing of legs, the made up story of walking in front the Queen, the one shouldered dress, the bridesmaids tights, the 3 day wedding and so on.
It will be brought up in 3 years mark my words.

It's criticism fatigue for me is what I mean.

So you DO agree it was in poor taste ? Why the sneering to me and others ? I find that disappointing.

Lostinabba · 14/09/2022 16:01

Thank you @Roussette for taking the time to explain. Total respect x.

Snog · 14/09/2022 16:02

Meanderings the main hatred on this thread is in reality being spewed by you in abusive attacks on other posters.

Pengwinn · 14/09/2022 16:03

The Meghan stans are actually scarier than those who make reasonable observations. Imagine defying logic and what's in front of your eyes to defend someone you have never met with such gusto. Weird.

Tierne · 14/09/2022 16:04

@Pengwinn
They are... they've basically taken this random privileged woman and made her the poster girl for all their personal grievances

derxa · 14/09/2022 16:04

Personally I think that perhaps they should not have held hands. Yes I was willing them not to hold hands. For their own sakes. Harry has spent most of his life going to these sort of occasions. He surely knows that he takes his lead from the senior mourners ie Charles and Camilla. I just don't understand it.

Hah yes that's exactly what it is!

reflexolog · 14/09/2022 16:05

They are adults in their 40s(?) holding hands. It's just a disappointing that it drew the eye - and they, or at least Harry would have definitely known it would draw the eye - and made them stick out.

Meanderings · 14/09/2022 16:06

H&M held hands and you all will DEAL.

Here's a cute pic of Zara and Mike doing the same thing 😏

I am in a lovely hotel in Pathos, Cyprus
So I have a lot of time on my hands this week.
Have been reading the Royal threads and must say I am shocked by the lack of critical thinking and common sense when it comes to Meghan.
Some of her detractors need to take a long hard look at themselves.
I am not saying that people don’t have the right to criticise her, but what I find is that some of the posts are irrational , ridiculous and just plain nasty.
This woman obviously gets under people’s skin.
The same posters who say that she is an attention seeking , narcissist are in a number of threads slagging her off and in doing so giving her a whole lot of attention .
Make it make sense as my dd would say

Except you can't see their hands in that photo, what does it show exactly? Did they walk out like that?

Readinginthesun · 14/09/2022 15:29

Others will disagree but I don’t think it was appropriate for M and H to hold hands leaving such a solemn occasion.

Totally out of place.

this was a solemn, ceremonial event.

they looked very silly

Pengwinn · 14/09/2022 16:08

I agree there is a weird hatred by some or wild accusations thrown about, but it's at the point where any comment about her no matter how trivial or whatever opens the poster up to all sorts of criticism.

A knowing act of rebellion. They have a great deal of growing up to do.

Guys I'm obsessed with this CURTSY, she did brilliantly 😌

Great post @Roussette

Phew! So relieved there's something to criticise her about today! They held hands!
Wouldn't it be awful if people couldn't find anything!

I am still laughing at the 'comedy size mic'

I have transported myself back to a 1970s Bond film with Blofeld and a big grey box with a red flashing light on top

I agree the mic stuff is laughable.

let’s face it, if M really wanted to record a conversation, she could just use her mobile phone. As could you or I.

so possible, but not probable.

So she should have done. It's part of her role and a mark of respect
