The royal family

What now for M&H

OliviaBean · 11/09/2022 15:45

I find the whole family and royal family (The Firm) aspect of Megxit very interesting.

Just wondering what now for M&H? Will they continue on with the strategy of talking and writing about the royal family or will things now change? I think the half in half out strategy on their terms would have worked for M&H but I think the RF were right to knock it on the head, it would never have worked for the RF, Harry was ready to go and Meghan was never going to just slot in with the system.

Just looking at Harry, I think the guy really needs the whole circus of fighting with the RF in public to stop, for his own mental health. He obviously has issues that he needs to come to terms with, he really needs to do this in private but this is at odds with how they need to make money now. I really fear for him the person.

If they keep going with the fighting then I think that's it for them and the RF. If they are to reconcile with the RF, how then do they make a living? I would imagine QE has left quite a provision for Harry in her will so perhaps the money making aspect will be less of a priority. I could see Charles being more open to a reconciliation but not sure about William.

Not trying to start a thread to bash anyone, just interested in other opinions.

Btw , just to let posters know that the vile , bigoted, Angela Levin is cleaning up her Twitter account and has gone on a untweeting and unliking spree. Good. She has behaved appallingly. I suspect her recent appearances are all to do with selling her Camilla book. She'll never have access to the RF again.

@skullbabe

this is where people who help select juries and prep witnesses make fortunes etc in the US

We all have this skill, but some are better than others. This skill could probably be programmed too into a computer, which would probably lack human bias (depending on the programmer) so could have a real scientific application in the future

Hopefully , all the nasty racist tweets that she has liked or retweeted are no more. Her retweeting the tweet calling Lillibet ‘ Georgina Floyd’ was the one that shocked me the most tbh . Dreadful woman

That is good to hear, but cleaning up her Twitter account does not mean we forget what a bigoted hateful person she is. Well done Vanessa Feltz for calling her out.
Now we need to work on Morgan, Wootton and others..

Just relieved that Morgan is no longer on GMB where he was allowed to spout his hate to a wider audience.

He allowed his obsession with Meghan to mess up his GMB gig . What an idiot

As for Dan Wootton, just put it this way. He should have stuck to writing fluffy articles about reality stars and Z listers.
His attempt to write on more ‘serious’ issues is cringeworthy.and embarrassing

Yes Morgan was absolutely hysterical about most things be it covid, BJ or whatever.

I'm surprised they've given him a slot on talk telly. Still I suppose with people him and Feltz they are going for a more shouty, Jeremy Kyle style of programme.

I don't mind Wootton he seems far more measured.

Umbrelleh · 14/09/2022 08:29

Thankfully I've never heard of many of these people mentioned. As it goes now the queen has gone I'm not arsed about what Harry and meghan do at all, who really, genuinely cares?

Judging from the numerous articles in the press and the number of threads on MN.
One can conclude that a lot of people ‘care’ about Harry and Meghan.

Umbrelleh · 14/09/2022 08:35

But why is the part I'm curious about.

They are an aging middle aged couple. One is balding. I am not sure it’s that anymore.
Perhaps it’s similar to not being able to stop staring at a car crash. Along those lines. It’s horrific how they have blown up their lives, the endless my truths and me me me - I don’t imagine it’s going to get any better at all.
it’s become a spectator sport I am afraid.

Readinginthesun · 14/09/2022 08:47

To save me reading pages , did the poster clarify their statement about William and Anne’s alleged bullying ?
Also , I am no fan of H and M but I do think Angela Levin has crossed a line . She seems to feel personally insulted , possibly because she spent time with H whilst researching her book about him ? But it is way over the top.

Indeed.

I’m so glad I’m not on Twitter. What a nasty person to make those comments

Wish I looked as good as Meghan tbh.

Ohnonevermind · 14/09/2022 09:29

I know she looks good, she’s a great looking woman, but that’s not the point I was trying to make

Pengwinn · 14/09/2022 09:29

Twitter is generally a cesspit, id generally advise avoiding it.

Which comment are you referring to @Ohnonevermind ?

Ohnonevermind · 14/09/2022 09:42

@Lampzade

I’d mentioned that I’d seen photos of Harry and Meghan arriving at the palace.

She looked fabulous but had rather a heavily made up face which looked really out of place and feared that she would attract negative comments.

it struck me as she is largely alone in the palace with no-one to advise her on subtle matters of etiquette like this and I felt sorry for her.

I’ve made dress code errors but never had the world watching me

SilverLiningPlaybook · 14/09/2022 09:46

She wouldn’t listen to advice anyway. She thinks she knows best. I liked the way she looked when they were greeting the crowds at Windsor. Less looks a lot better on her than more. She doesn’t suit heavy make up and overly dressy clothes.

There are plenty of reports to suggest that he didn't join the military in the normal sense and that his experience was outside the norm. We will never know the truth, of course, but we can probably make an educated guess as to their veracity

Those reports would be wrong, apart from him always being able to get the leave dates he wanted (and need for close protection) in many circumstances.

There are many people who knew him in the military - it's probably the part of his life that is best and most widely known.

I know less about Andrew, but have heard less good things about him. But he really did fly the helicopter, and they don't let you do that unless you are of the proper standard, in his era as well as the for the Wales princes. Indulgence does not stretch to inability to meet standards for something that include lives of the others on board

To return to the point that while we may never fully know 'the truth' of people's situations, there are nevertheless enough indicators in their actions for us to form reasonable conclusions about them. Let's take the now-infamous "And there's our little P* friend", video. H's video scans to a man who is lying down (and thus, easy to bully?) in contemplation, most likely preparing for the possibility of losing his life. While H's comment may be indicative of many things, one is that it is highly revealing of his failure to appreciate the gravity of the situation, both for himself and his peer. Could that be because H knew that their experiences were about to differ?

Roussette · 14/09/2022 09:52

Lol. This was his guest list last night... can you even begin to imagine the criticism of Meghan?

-Tom Bower
-Neil Oliver
-Meghan McCain
-Samantha and Thomas Markle Jr
-Lady Colin Campbell
-Phil Dampier
-Carole Malone, Sam Dowler and Belinda De Lucy.

I'd rather plant 1,000 cockroach eggs in my earhole than listen to that bigoted man.

Ohnonevermind · 14/09/2022 09:57

I dont read the those papers - sun/mirror/star etc , and I’ve never even looked at GMB (U.K. fox equivalent style thing) but Dan Wootton seems a complete asshole.

I’m afraid omid seems a snide little fecker too.

it would be far easier and shorter to write a list of the journalist we do like and respect

Yes I understood your comment.
I simply pointed out that Kate looked tired and strained. The brothers looked sad and Meghan looked apprehensive.
Didn’t take much notice of her makeup tbh.

Ohnonevermind · 14/09/2022 10:01

Between the two threads I’m getting confused @Lampzade so thought you’d missed my comment on the other one 👍

Snog · 14/09/2022 12:43

I wonder what Meghan will do if Harry is to walk behind the coffin?
Will she be left to fend for herself?
