The royal family

What now for M&H

I find the whole family and royal family (The Firm) aspect of Megxit very interesting.

Just wondering what now for M&H? Will they continue on with the strategy of talking and writing about the royal family or will things now change? I think the half in half out strategy on their terms would have worked for M&H but I think the RF were right to knock it on the head, it would never have worked for the RF, Harry was ready to go and Meghan was never going to just slot in with the system.

Just looking at Harry, I think the guy really needs the whole circus of fighting with the RF in public to stop, for his own mental health. He obviously has issues that he needs to come to terms with, he really needs to do this in private but this is at odds with how they need to make money now. I really fear for him the person.

If they keep going with the fighting then I think that's it for them and the RF. If they are to reconcile with the RF, how then do they make a living? I would imagine QE has left quite a provision for Harry in her will so perhaps the money making aspect will be less of a priority. I could see Charles being more open to a reconciliation but not sure about William.

Not trying to start a thread to bash anyone, just interested in other opinions.

I wonder what Meghan will do if Harry is to walk behind the coffin?
Will she be left to fend for herself?

She'll be fine the rf will look after her and rise above the crap that has been thrown at them in the last 2yrs.

Cameleongirl · 14/09/2022 12:47

it struck me as she is largely alone in the palace with no-one to advise her on subtle matters of etiquette like this and I felt sorry for her

Unfortunately, I expect that no one dares to advise her as they’re afraid it will be misinterpreted as putting pressure on her and mentioned later on. I expect they’re being very polite but not venturing any opinions.

Farmerazza · 14/09/2022 12:49

Harry will be King - they will be fine.

Snog · 14/09/2022 12:52

That sounds sinister

It’s already been announced that Camilla, Kate, Meghan and Sophie are among those who’ll go to Westminster Hall by car.

FWIW, I think they will see what they get in the will from HMQ and from Charles and if they don't deem it enough, they will go back to flinging mud for money. The 'our 2 years as working royals were shit' narrative is wearing thin now, but they have a whole raft of 'reawakened trauma, unsupported in grief, cast out and cut off' narrative to respin now.

I think they are both equally and utterly hideous, self serving and arrogant and how they could write and publish that statement I don't know.

Dinoteeth · 14/09/2022 13:13

Any mention of Fergie?

Well..
.I find your post hideous so there you go.
Especially the first sentence

I'm so glad not everyone in the world feels like you

Snog · 14/09/2022 13:23

Does Meghan have to curtsy to the Princess of Wales now?

They won’t get anything in the will.

The Queen will leave everything to Charles. He may later gift a few things around, but sovereign to sovereign transfers are IHT exempt so everything will go to Charles.

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 14/09/2022 13:24

@Roussette good for you Halo Just my view and we will see who is proved to be right soon enough, won't we.

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 14/09/2022 13:27

Their money hunger and focus is patently obvious and that last magazine interview made it clear that they will say anything that will make money, so I don't know why my first sentence was so awful @Roussette

Snog · 14/09/2022 13:30

M&H left the RF to pursue money and celebrity surely?

Good point. She's practically married again to Andrew, isn't she?

Yip I'm sure if all the stuff hadn't came out about Andrew they'd be re-married by now. They live in the same house.

3peassuit · 14/09/2022 13:36

Presumably get back home to their children and get on with making a living then come back here for the coronation.

I am actually surprised that the children haven’t been brought over .

Dinoteeth · 14/09/2022 14:02

I don't see the point in bringing the kids over just now. Granddad and Uncle Will have a ton of stuff to do and their cousins are in school.
Would make more sense to bring them over at half term or Christmas when the dust has settled.

Between the two threads I’m getting confused @Lampzade so thought you’d missed my comment on the other one 👍

i have been going between threads so I wasn’t quite sure what comment you were referring to.

Yes that post was really horrible
I am actually taken aback by the nastiness and vitriol in the post tbh
It says more about the poster than Harry and Meghan

Ohnonevermind · 14/09/2022 14:09

I think the elephant in the room is Harry’s upcoming Memoir. The RF must be hoping for the best but fearing the worst.

Totally. Such anger about them but H&M happily living their life is the best antidote to that

Because their parents miss them ? H and M don’t appear to be doing much ( other than the procession today and the actual funeral) .
By the time they return home they will have been away for nearly 3 weeks .

I think the elephant in the room is Harry’s upcoming Memoir. The RF must be hoping for the best but fearing the worst.

Its a shame as he has had some truly unique experiences growing up, he also achieved a lot during his military career and I'm sure a memoir around that part of his life and how he has/is hoping to transition to his new life with his family would be infinitely more interesting than what this book is predicted to be. If they stopped slandering his family and concentrated on their passions and what they want to achieve for themselves I'm sure they'd be more successful.
