What now for M&H

I find the whole family and royal family (The Firm) aspect of Megxit very interesting.

Just wondering what now for M&H? Will they continue on with the strategy of talking and writing about the royal family or will things now change? I think the half in half out strategy on their terms would have worked for M&H but I think the RF were right to knock it on the head, it would never have worked for the RF, Harry was ready to go and Meghan was never going to just slot in with the system.

Just looking at Harry, I think the guy really needs the whole circus of fighting with the RF in public to stop, for his own mental health. He obviously has issues that he needs to come to terms with, he really needs to do this in private but this is at odds with how they need to make money now. I really fear for him the person.

If they keep going with the fighting then I think that's it for them and the RF. If they are to reconcile with the RF, how then do they make a living? I would imagine QE has left quite a provision for Harry in her will so perhaps the money making aspect will be less of a priority. I could see Charles being more open to a reconciliation but not sure about William.

He wasn't at St Giles.
I'm sure it was said before Philips funeral only serving members of the forces are allowed to wear uniform (which includes Ceremonial posts like Colonel in Chief)

Neither Andrew or Harry are serving members nor hold any ceremonial posts therefore no uniform. So between the two of them, and Peter Phillips not being entitled they opted to have them all in morning suits rather than some in uniform and some not at Philips funeral.

I cannot see them bending the rules for the Queens funeral or the Coronation.

Even I was shocked by some of the things that Angela Levin has said in the past.
Her hatred of Meghan is palpable .
She really needs to be called out.

Or it could be that they wanted to get their own story out after the daily vitriol from some parts of the British media.

She has gone a bit Piers Morgan which is a shame because there are valid points to be made but it gets lost if folk come across as too ott. That said Vanessa Feltz screeching where does she get her info on 'Talk tv' with another woman gurning and rolling her eyes at Levin wasn't exactly a Paxman moment, more Jeremy Kyle. Levin should have replied 'well I get my info from all the many reveals they keep providing us with'.

Royal reporters have tweeted a message they have obviously received from the Palace to say that only working members of the family will wear their ceremonial uniforms for 5 events connected with the funeral arrangements. Ther was one exception - Andrew is to wear his military uniform by exception as a mark of respect for the final vigil in Westminster Hall.

It is quite possible that this is the Queen’s request. She will have been fully involved in planning the arrangements for her funeral - we were told Prince Phillip had completely planned his.

There is a small bit of background to this - there was rumour that at Phillip’s funeral both Andrew and Harry were kicking up about not wearing uniform with their siblings, and the Queen stepped in to resolve it by stating no-one would wear uniform. If that happened (and obviously it’s an if) maybe she did want to make clear what she wanted to happen at her own funeral.

Please note that Levin has been invited to Clarence House and been on royal tours with the then Prince of Wales.

Her biography on Camilla is coming out in two weeks, why do people who spread deranged conspiracies around Meghan have such access?

I really do think despite everything if Harry's family had been supportive of Meghan and Harry's relationship, these two would have stayed despite all the hate and racism. Had the Queen, Prince Charles, William etc put forward a statement in support of them and against the racist attacks it would have made a HUGE difference.

Yes it is a shame, and strange, that no statement was ever issued in support of Meghan. I'm sure similar statements of support have been made for Kate? In some ways the RF went above and beyond in welcoming M (train ride with Queen, invite to Xmas at Balmoral, Charles walking her down the aisle) but watching that clip from 'the me you can't see' on Twitter again, it seems they both felt utterly abandoned. It must have been hard to come out and say this, but I guess they felt it needed saying. The RF are strange. They obviously want to at least be SEEN to the doing the right thing but get it so badly wrong. I'm fascinated by all those 'grey men' behind the scenes - they must wield so much power. I'm sure that's what H was referring to in the Oprah interview, the Queen suddenly being 'unavailable' to meet. He must feel so frustrated!

I think they were incredibly supportive- I recall £millions of tax payers money been spent on their wedding, & probably honeymoon. They were included in events. They were part if the fab 4.

Most of the UK would prefer for M&H to stay in America as their popularity is extremely low here.

I'm not sure how many people know or care who they are in the USA let alone feel grateful for their choice to live there.

I mean they literally told us all in their own words that they were leaving because their couldn’t make money as senior royals, so no I don’t think think they would have stayed. And I don’t believe the hate and racism was the dominant cause for their departure either.
