The royal family

What now for M&H

I find the whole family and royal family (The Firm) aspect of Megxit very interesting.

Just wondering what now for M&H? Will they continue on with the strategy of talking and writing about the royal family or will things now change? I think the half in half out strategy on their terms would have worked for M&H but I think the RF were right to knock it on the head, it would never have worked for the RF, Harry was ready to go and Meghan was never going to just slot in with the system.

Just looking at Harry, I think the guy really needs the whole circus of fighting with the RF in public to stop, for his own mental health. He obviously has issues that he needs to come to terms with, he really needs to do this in private but this is at odds with how they need to make money now. I really fear for him the person.

If they keep going with the fighting then I think that's it for them and the RF. If they are to reconcile with the RF, how then do they make a living? I would imagine QE has left quite a provision for Harry in her will so perhaps the money making aspect will be less of a priority. I could see Charles being more open to a reconciliation but not sure about William.

Not trying to start a thread to bash anyone, just interested in other opinions.

Angela Levin who spends her life spreading hate about Meghan is questioned on her opinions and sources, and can't handle it.

Re the Vigil - I read somewhere (honestly can't remember where otherwise I'd link) that there was a plan for 3 shifts - 4 children and 2 x 4 grandchildren. This would then include Lady Louise but she is so young and not used (thankfully) to lots of exposure - however apparently had a very close relationship with HMQ so maybe (if stories are true) she would like to be part of a vigil. Perhaps one of the shifts including Lady Louise would a shorter one - allowing her to know she'd played a role but without exposing her too much

Coronateachingagain · 12/09/2022 22:05

They need the whole circus to continue so there will be more drama. By they will drawn on it eventually.

Inheritance issue is interesting, didn't Queen mum also leave provision's for grandchildren?

I hope Charles strains every sinew to win them over and bring his grandchildren into the heart of the new monarchy as is their right.

I hope Megan and Harry feel appeased and soften on their "truths* Which they had every right to say no matter how cringy.

I hope they can spend some time here with the king/ but maintain their private lives in the US
If they did step up to do some of the Prince's charity work, that would be fantastic and perfect.

I can imagine Meghan enquiring if the Queen left anything for them or their offsprings haha. I doubt it. It will be down to Charles, and that will not be free.

If it’s 2 x 4 grandchildren then it’ll also include her younger brother. He’s very young at 14 for that kind of pressure.

But if they do it that way the four grandsons together and 4 granddaughters together would be lovely. The four granddaughters would be making history doing it - first granddaughters to do it.

My point is that H&M don't really have any option to live in the UK anymore.

They have the means to live wherever they like and I'm sure if they wanted to they would live in the UK. They just DON'T WANT IT! It does not appeal to them I. The slightest compared to where they are now. I can't see how hard it is to see that.
But if it's easier to swallow - "they don't have a choice and would rather be the UK then go ahead .

CaptainBarbosa · 12/09/2022 22:14

I think the vigils will be in shifts also.

Charles
Anne
Andrew
Edward

William
Harry
Eugene
Beatrice

Louise and James are probably seen as too young although Louise is 18 and despite them both being technically HRH, but I would agree too young. And Zara and Peter don't have any titles, so I think this with protocol taken in to account will not allow them to do the princes vigil maybe 🤷🏻‍♀️

Maireas · 12/09/2022 22:18

The Earl of Snowdon did a vigil (when he was Viscount Linley). Never been a prince.

Yes, but there seems to be many who desperately want them to want it😁

How many chat shows has Meghan been on? I thought Ellen and she was due on Jimmy Fallon to promote Archetypes. Has she been on many more?

That was very satisfying.

Yeas but he's an Earl so has a tile. Same as a Duke, Marquis, Viscount or Lord.

I don't think Peter or Zara have any title not even Lord and Lady do they? 🤔

skullbabe · 12/09/2022 22:31

Unfortunately the main feature of Brand Sussex the Royal Family looks to be hypocrisy.

King Charles and the new Prince of Wales are also climate campaigners………and yet.

To be fair William is the only one so far who has not given an interview or written a book.

Absolutely spot on! I see @Meanderings has resorted to personal abuse because they can't actually dispute the rest of it factually!

There is nothing in this that is fact - it is entirely opinion.

No they haven't. I thought someone said he vigil was princes only. Who knows

Or maybe he isn’t actually H&M’s informal spokesperson?

He really is though, skullbabe. He is so close to Meghan’s team that the judge in her case in the UK against ANL actually pointed out how quickly he’d been sent the details of one of her court documents after it was filed so he could tweet it out (it was literally a couple of minutes).

Thanks - checked and it was just under an hour - suspicious enough that the judge felt that release of the information to him was a credible claim.

What do we have that confirms that he is an ongoing informal spokesman? Why would they keep him after what happened with the court case? He has been categorically wrong on lots of things that you would expect even Meghan to know - even things he should know as a Persian Brit! How would that make sense?

Serenster · 12/09/2022 22:48

I’ll throw another name into the mix - Arthur Chatto, Sarah Chatto’s son. His mother was very close to her aunt, and Arthur was the Queen’s page for a number of years when younger. He is now in his early 20s, and in the Marines. Could be an option instead of Viscount Linley.

Maireas · 12/09/2022 22:52

Yes, we rarely see Viscount Linley...I don't remember seeing him at the Jubilee, although his father Snowdon was there, and I think I saw his sister Lady Margarita.

I always thought it could be done by anyone who had a "gentry title" but again I could be wrong, and to be honest it would be nice for them to include loved ones regardless of titles, but I'm no expert, obviously 🤣

What I was surprised to read the other might it how many coronets we may see at the coronation worn by Dukes/Duchess , Earls/ Countess' , Marquis/ Marchioness, Viscount/Viscountess Barons/Baroness!!

That's going to be a lot of coronets if the go old school on this 😳

derxa · 12/09/2022 22:53

I hope Harry and Meghan have a very low profile at the London funeral. The Scottish funeral was perfect since they were nowhere near it.

Maireas · 12/09/2022 22:54

I hope so! The more bling the better!

Is snowdon not dead?!

ghislaine · 12/09/2022 22:57

Lord Snowdon is Princess Margaret’s son, David Linley and the current Viscount Linley is his son.

The Princes' Vigil is Princes only, but there will be constant vigil during the time she lies in state.

Each four swop round every half hour (? not sure of exact duration of each, but its roughly that).

I don't know what the rules are for non-royal aristocrats.

Most of it is done by officers in the Armed Forces (from all countries where she is Head Of State), with the regiments and other units for which she was colonel-in-chief getting first dibs.

I'm pretty sure that Beefeaters take turns as well.

Haha! I agree, why not. Especially if they are just sat in a vault somewhere and just need a bit of polishing and cleaning.

Maybe it would be like when you get 3D glasses on a ride at Disney, you get given them on the way in and then must return them on your way out. Imagine a box at the back entrance of the Abbey with a sign "please return your coronet" 🤣
