The royal family

What now for M&H

OliviaBean · 11/09/2022 15:45

I find the whole family and royal family (The Firm) aspect of Megxit very interesting.

Just wondering what now for M&H? Will they continue on with the strategy of talking and writing about the royal family or will things now change? I think the half in half out strategy on their terms would have worked for M&H but I think the RF were right to knock it on the head, it would never have worked for the RF, Harry was ready to go and Meghan was never going to just slot in with the system.

Just looking at Harry, I think the guy really needs the whole circus of fighting with the RF in public to stop, for his own mental health. He obviously has issues that he needs to come to terms with, he really needs to do this in private but this is at odds with how they need to make money now. I really fear for him the person.

If they keep going with the fighting then I think that's it for them and the RF. If they are to reconcile with the RF, how then do they make a living? I would imagine QE has left quite a provision for Harry in her will so perhaps the money making aspect will be less of a priority. I could see Charles being more open to a reconciliation but not sure about William.

Not trying to start a thread to bash anyone, just interested in other opinions.

I’d guess whatever arrangement are being made about uniforms, they were the queens instructions, so hopefully they can get on with it without drama

Agreed

LondonWolf · 12/09/2022 16:29

For the What About Andrew-ers, you'll be glad to know, he was heckled as he followed his mothers coffin in Edinburgh.

Has it been announced exactly which members of the RF will be keeping vigil? As they have announced that A will be allowed to wear uniform it seems that he is one, as the son of HMQ. I am guessing Prince Edward and Prince William will also be included but I haven't seen that announced. That leaves one other. Would that be the King or does his new role preclude that. If Harry is the 4th then he should also be allowed to wear uniform if he wishes to.

Andrew actually served, so he can actually ask his old regiment can wear their uniform now that he is retired, they may decline due to PR reasons (wouldn't blame them)

Harry also as a veteran can request to his old unit the same. To wear number 2's now retired.

Charles, Anne, William and Edward currently hold military titles, so they are entitled to wear their "number 2's" for weddings and funerals without permission to do so because of the ranks they hold. They'd literally be asking themselves for permission. 🤣

Hes a twat but this is a disgusting thing to do! It shows no respect for the Queen or her grieving family! From the reports i read the heckler was quickly shut down by members of the public and the police. What a complete lowlife.

bloodyplanes · 12/09/2022 17:47

Ive actually just seen the footage and it looks like the police actually removed the heckler from a potential beating from fellow members of the public! Its nice to know there are still so many respectful, decent people out there, reading the threads like this could easily make you think otherwise.

Whilst I agree that calling him out on his abhorrent behaviour is fine, it's more a time and a place argument isn't it 😳

Any other royal event fine, whilst his mother coffin was going past, maybe not....

I think that's what the public took objection too, not that they were disagreeing with the sentiment and context of this vocal lads outburst, but more "Jesus Christ man, not whilst his dead mother is going by and we want to pay our silent respect to her"

I mean if I were wealthy I'd quite happily pay people to project the word nonce in to the sky above his house like the batman light, but maybe not till after the state funeral 😳

I think most people can not stand Andrew, he’s a disgusting individual, but theres no place for heckling even him in a moment like that. Shameful.

bloodyplanes · 12/09/2022 18:02

@CaptainBarbosa exactly right, its definitely a time and a place thing.

MeLuvsCake · 12/09/2022 18:20

If they didn’t think they need millions of pounds to survive they could both get jobs like the rest of us. So the 9-5 slog.

Readinginthesun · 12/09/2022 18:23

Is Harry still the Chief Impact Officer (?) at that company . Sorry can’t remember the name .

Roussette · 12/09/2022 18:24

As much as I cannot stand Andrew (I'm responsible for lots of threads on his behaviour), it was wrong to heckle him, totally wrong. He has lost his mother.
But there again... I wouldn't expect him to be doing walkabout

More concerning is a woman being arrested for holding a poster in London saying "Not my King" .

We are not North Korea having to worship Kim Yong Un or be sent to a penal colony. Wrong, very wrong. We are allowed to have opinions in this country and this woman was compliant with the Police. It just opens up a lot of questions for me.

It’s so sad but the trust has gone and can never be mended

they might be able to patch things up a bit but it will always be there

sad for them all really

I think it's considered inflammatory today. Look what happened to that chip shop.

After all, to use the stock phrase, the right to free expression doesn't include shouting "fire" in a crowded theatre.

AllTheCarsForMe · 12/09/2022 15:25

Or perhaps MM is being purposefully fed the wrong info so that they can catch her out, a lá "Wagatha Christie"?

Or maybe he isn’t actually H&M’s informal spokesperson?

Readinginthesun · 11/09/2022 21:41

If someone had ( allegedly) been horrible to my child , I wouldn’t give them the time of day cameras or no cameras

I don't blame Kate at all. If someone had made up stories about me, I'd give them the cold shoulder as well.

Serenster · 12/09/2022 19:27

Or maybe he isn’t actually H&M’s informal spokesperson?

He really is though, skullbabe. He is so close to Meghan’s team that the judge in her case in the UK against ANL actually pointed out how quickly he’d been sent the details of one of her court documents after it was filed so he could tweet it out (it was literally a couple of minutes).

Someone from the Sussex camp needs to make that clear to him. He's a complete liability.

SilverLiningPlaybook · 12/09/2022 19:39

Why do they need him to make announcements anyway? Cant they speak for themselves?

At the end of the day we are the fools arguing about the clothing options of two over indulged middle aged men

Indeed. I am amazed at how personally people are taking this.

I wish them all happiness, however they achieve it.

luckylavender · 12/09/2022 19:51

@Readinginthesun - I'm not sure that's 100% true. Andrew is a non working royal now & so he doesn't have an automatic right to paid security. Like his daughters don't have it.

luckylavender · 12/09/2022 19:52

SilverLiningPlaybook · 12/09/2022 14:43

Harry wasn't wearing military uniform for Philip's funeral either. So why would this funeral be any different?

Nor was Andrew

Well... a man today approached by Police for holding up a blank piece of paper.

Shocking

While I may not agree with what A says I will defend As right to say it.

Everyone. Everyone should have the right to speak out & peacefully protest.
