Following on from the Podcast threads. The sad news about the declining health of the Queen is of concern.

I think she's already died...they just need all immediate family to be present and see her first. I doubt we'll still be wondering at this time tomorrow.

There seem to be an awful lot of people on Mumsnet with "contacts" this afternoon. I believe those in a position to "know" anything will be too busy (and well trained) to be contacting all their friends and rellies with details.

We have all worked out how serious this is and could hazard guesses as to timing, some of us prefer not to.

There does, the 4pm announcement never happened so chances are the 5pm and 6pm won’t either.

The Queen is 96 and very frail it’s no shock that at some point soon she is going to die. As sad as it is it’s something that will happen to us all.

Buckingham Palace have announced the Queen is ‘resting’.
Eorher that’s a lie or a euphemism, or she is genuinely resting.

My doctor sister reckons she's had a stroke as she looked ok a couple days ago.
If she passes they'll have to tell the PM and it wouldn't be a secret for more than a nanosecond

Surely horse boxes move around a lot there anyway.

Pleased and surprised that Meghan hasn't gone - I thought she'd go to support Harry - but as Nicholas Witchell just said on the BBC: 'I can imagine she wouldn't be very welcome'. Well, quite!

Kate staying with the DC, unsurprisingly, as it's their first day at a new school and Louis' first day of school ever.

I feel really sad. It looks like it's the end of a huge era for this country. The Queen's reign is longer the majority of the population's lifespans.
