It feels like we're being slowly prepared for her passing away. I feel unexpectedly tearful.

Seeing as the younger members of the family are only just arriving at Balmoral, i doubt shes already died somehow..

You what?! Do you think people can choose not to die until family members get there 🤯

Really. The people who work in politics right now and with knowledge sitting on mumsnet. Unlikely.

I’m a councillor. I’m just stating a fact.

miserablecat · 08/09/2022 17:33

At least feminism is alive and well - a few years ago it was the DHs that were "high up in the military" and preparing for "operation London Bridge" in the 300 other times she's allegedly died in the past 5 years but now it's the MNetters themselves!

What an odd comment

New posts on this thread. Refresh page and there are also a lot of bullshitters here as well.

Anyone who was actually a reputable source wouldn’t be posting on mumsnet that the queen had died. Anyone claiming to have been told that’s the case is 100% bullshitting.

Even if she has died, nobody on here actually knows that.

sunglassesonthetable · 08/09/2022 17:37

Tbh you don't have to be working anywhere to get news these days. You just need to be in the right WApp group.

Roussette · 08/09/2022 17:38

Surely there's no one on this thread who thinks it either hasn't happened or is imminent?
BBC would look pretty stupid wouldn't they?
I will add to this... Don't flame me but my adult DDs best friend's Grandma is in the HoL. She heard at 3 ish too and it was a stroke

GhostFromTheOtherSide · 08/09/2022 17:38

Not sure what went wrong there, meant to quote PP who said there are a lot of influential people on mn…

Plenty are close are drawing conclusions. And yes they can be going home from work and posting on mumsnet. We have received unprecedented instruction and communication so yes, something is up.

Nope I'm not.

I can't verify what I've been told obviously. But I've been told.

Who knows time will tell.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 08/09/2022 17:40

These posters who "have been informed" surely are the same bunch who do the whole cryptic FB comments and reply "will PM you hun"

GhostFromTheOtherSide · 08/09/2022 17:40

There’s a difference between knowing it is imminent and claiming to know for certain that she’s dead.

Remember when Philip was ill. We all knew that it was likely imminent, and all his family went to see him several times and every time they did someone on mn started a dozen threads to speculate about it. But it was actually weeks before he died.

Fififelix · 08/09/2022 17:40

She's such a hardworker I can't believe she hosted Liz Truss stood up and shook her hand. Most 96 year olds I've seen have been incredibly frail and no mobility left. I hope she rests now , no more duties and a peaceful passing.

And my cousin's uncle's best friend's son's dog is best mates with her corgis and she's still going 🙄

userxx · 08/09/2022 17:41

@sunglassesonthetable So you know one of the royal family or the top people in government, as I'm pretty sure it would only be those people who know.

MoodyMooToo · 08/09/2022 17:41

Amazing lady our Queen, she has served us well and will be missed by so many. Just wish it was William and not Charles taking over

sunglassesonthetable · 08/09/2022 17:42

Not on FB hun. But anyway I'm just a random on the internet so don't worry about it.

No many would know as a PP has listed. This is different from Prince Philip

I just said the same to my hubby, it does feel like it, I feel sad too.

That’s a very naive view of the world.

nachoavocado · 08/09/2022 17:44

It doesn't really matter. We will find out if she has died at some point there's nothing to gain from speculating.

SolarLanterns · 08/09/2022 17:44

Sarah Ferguson is wearing a black dress under white blazer outside Venive airport.

Poshjock · 08/09/2022 16:56

Aye. I was on Op Forth Bridge too.

Op Forth Bridge was incredibly well done @Poshjock

Very moving

sunglassesonthetable · 08/09/2022 17:44

Nope, def don't know any of those people user.

My son's friend though works somewhere quite significant and they were told.

But hey don't worry about it.
