It feels like we're being slowly prepared for her passing away. I feel unexpectedly tearful.

OP posts:
Sixsmith · 08/09/2022 16:41

She probably can't even spell discreet

Readinginthesun · 08/09/2022 16:42

Apparently Meghan is remaining in London . I think this is the right decision.

CaramelTwirl · 08/09/2022 16:42

People are bound to speculate considering the BBC have suspended all programmes and has been full of waffle for hours.

They are not going to suddenly say 'oh she's ok now' are they and carry on as normal.

BBC saying only Harry is on his way there

DillDanding · 08/09/2022 16:43

😂 amazing how many have media contacts.

I hope she rallies and all those grief tourists gathering just get soaked in the rain.

What do you honestly think she will do?!

Fashion a banner from a bed sheet, with a notification of death written in capital letters scrawled in red wine to hang out the window for the media to see.

Most likely William has put his foot down and banned her.

PickAChew · 08/09/2022 16:44

She's actually in the best front room that I keep just for when the queen visits, enjoying a quiet cuppa away from the media. The rest is just a distraction.

(saying this with as much authority as just about anyone else claiming to be in the know)

vera99 · 08/09/2022 16:45

Most will be tourist coming to see the media circus if I was on holiday in a foreign country and something mega like this happened I think I would do as well. After all Buckingham Palace is a major tourist attraction.

Give it a rest

Well they're not very professional are they, leaking news to any old gossip

Oh come on, it is fairly obvious by this stage.

I have heard from media contacts that she has died and the announcement will be at 6pm

I am on the periphery of Op London Bridge and I have heard nothing. I know the man who will know though and he would not breathe a word or give the tiniest of hints to anyone not on the 'need to know' list. My involvement will start with a phone call shortly after the announcement and I, in turn, will tell no-one of my movements.

Please STFU.

Ffs must people turn this into a meggan bashing thread? Seriously being that bitter about someone you’ve never met must be exhausting.

You don't need to know.

As long as they're running the list of attendees past @Sixsmith, everything will be fine.

Mumsnut · 08/09/2022 16:47

Don't be silly, Captain. It would be pomegranate juice

SolarLanterns · 08/09/2022 16:48

Nonsense. Please can we keep Meghan out of it? She is a fairly new member of the family and it's not about her. She must feel rubbish as her hubby is not by her side and her dc are on the other side of the pond. It would be best if she'd fly back to the US to be with her dc.

LIZS · 08/09/2022 16:49

DillDanding · 08/09/2022 16:40

All those weirdos outside Buckingham palace.

BP is open to the public, so some will have had tickets to visit, others just tourists happening by the front and hearing the news.

antelopevalley · 08/09/2022 16:49

People in key buildings will be told half an hour before the official announcement so they can lower their flags.

Of course, my apologies. 🤣

I do though hope that to a certain extend all of the royal family and their spouses (that includes H and M) are given some space from the media and speculation to grieve.

They are still a family at the end of the day, and regardless that she is 96 or the queen, the passing of a loved family member is still a tough loss.

Mumsnut · 08/09/2022 16:50

If Meghan has decided to stay at home, I think it is very sensible and gracious of her.

Unless the Queen has died, I think it would be really appreciated if she read Harry's speech for him at the Well Child Awards.

You are endlessly spamming this thread with Meghan hate, FFS just shut up

SleepingStandingUp · 08/09/2022 16:51

antelopevalley · 08/09/2022 16:45

Oh come on, it is fairly obvious by this stage.

There's a difference between everyone assuming, and actively telling people the Queen has died when the rules at work are to keep your mouth shut and let it be done properly. Esp if you're not just blabbing to your Mom or Husband but to any old friend who'll then spread the news.
