We're being prepared aren't we? Message about the Queen being under medical supervision

It feels like we're being slowly prepared for her passing away. I feel unexpectedly tearful.

Several helicopters at Aberdeen Airport

Aberdeen is the hub for the oil rig transfers though isn't it, I'd imagine a lot of them are for that. Equally they could well have a few on standby for the Royals.

Radio 4 said 7 members " of the Royal Household " which means Staff doesn't it?

It is funny isn't it, it amazes me how often my GC bring it up. I'm sure yours, like mine, are all equal firsts in the race to be granny's favourite. I honestly couldn't pick one, I can pick the one who makes me laugh most and the one who worries me most but favourite? No they are all favourites.

There is another plane from northholt also on its way to Aberdeen it a private owned plane.

Without being too ghoulish about it - I think it's more imminent than that. The announcement just now seemed more like a pre-warning to soften the blow in the next few days to me. Maybe/hopefully I'm wrong.

Agreed. The family are all rushing to her bedside. I suspect she won't last through the weekend.

I have to laugh at this because all of my grandchildren think they’re my favorite and I was blown right out of the water the day one of them said, we’ll nana told me I’m her favorite but its our secret - then one by one the 6 of them who could speak at that stage said but she said that to me as well.

My dad did this with a difference, my parents had seven gc, each gc was favourite on a particular day of the week. Sarah on Sunday, Mimi on Monday etc. it worked well until my two came along taking the gc count up to nine.

Apparently in the London Bridge emergency documents the new monarch makes an announcement at 6pm on the day of the queen passing so we could hear from Prince Charles

I wouldn't be surprised at all if she has already died and they are waiting for the family to arrive at Balmoral and will then announce it.
