As the last thread filled up & there's plenty of discussion of Meghan's interview in The Cut, seems worthwhile starting a new thread!

A read yesterday that a series of media interviews are planned to promote the podcasts. Should be very interesting if The Cut interview is anything to go by!

I haven't heard the podcast, I assumed it was some evening do she was going to. Taking him with her would have seemed a good idea so she had him close and she wasn't letting the people down who were expecting to see her.

Serena obviously has a sensible turn of mind. I do like her although I don't follow tennis, she seems so full of life.

Yes, what M said after Serena asked her that perfectly normal question was absolute word salad. I wish Serena had said to her, 'wtf, say again??' but hey, it was being recorded with Serena as the interviewee and etiquette I suppose.

(By the way, I'd have been unimpressed with a dodgy electrical appliance in a suite of rooms in the High Commissioner's Residence. Not good. OTOH, would Archie have ever been left on his own by the nanny and/or security and/or other staff?)

Serenster, you are my hero on these threads. Always calm, always concise, always clear in your expression, factual, well-informed and gracious. You inform while raising the tone of the discussion - well done :)

Meighan is trending on Twitter, and not in a good way. More press talking about it not going well in the US. They seem to have one story to sell...and everyone is getting bored.

Her handouts are always so mean and humiliating.

It doesn't seem healthy though, building your life on being a victim for 2 years. They have both done interesting stuff, her as an actress and with her interest in politics and him with his army service, both of them relocating to another country, starting their own enterprise, having two children. So much other stuff.

I think the reason the British police said not to say anything about the heater incident was because they didn't want to embarrass the host country, not because nobody cared about Archie.

Unfortunately, in now bringing it to public attention, and refering to the accommodation as a 'housing unit' thereby implying that it was some kind of slum/co-operative, the hosts (South Africa) have indeed been embarrassed, hence the Foetsek Meghan thing on Twitter.

Amen to that.

The "perfectly normal question" was in fact a statement that "you must be Scottish".

Why do people always assume that no-one can travel from their place of birth or live in another country?

The woman just seems to be peddling half truths , self puffery and utter nonsense. & I think such a shame as she & H could have had a decent platform for their chosen good cause. But they must think what they think & do what they do - Some love them - others think they are somewhat making fools of themselves & she does ( to me - not speaking for anyone else ) come across as loving the connection with Royalty but using it for self aggrandisement . - everyone's choice to choose but I see her as clinging on to the Duchess by her fingernails. I do hope H is truly in love with her and vice versa - I would not wish any couple ill.

I don't think anyone really believes that though, do they? Given that you are showing your legal knowledge, surely normal adductive thinking, which is the normal approach, would lead to that conclusion?

Why are you so keen to offer denials given that no-one has actually stated it on this thread recently?
